You will find, I think, that the memory banks are an improvement over the pre-sets on the Z5 and Z30. Once you make sense of them they give you great flexibility.
The Z6IIi is a smaller version of the Z8, but with a different sensor. Its a fantastic shooter. Images are outstanding. Feels good to hold and use. Becomes an extention of your style of shooting, quickly.
Z8 is an excellent portrait camera. I thought the Z6 was the peak of image quality but z8 is slightly better, not by a lot but you can feel the difference. I use both my z6 and z8 for photo work.
Z8 and 180-600 are the best Wild Life Combo all brands out there especially here in Africa but on the Shorter lenses nothing beats the 24-120 f4 and 2nd prize 24-70 f2.8
Shoot in High Efficiency * RAW and save a bit on your Battery >> You wont be able to do Fast Birds in Flight on a Z5 >> the Camera of the Year Z8 eats that Genre for Breakfast >> I say sell the Z30 and Z5 and get this baby >> thats what I did I sold D850 and Z7 and got the Z8

I definitely see where you are coming from, but I think I've only ever taken a couple of pictures of birds in flight!
Z8 eats every genre. Z8 is that piece of equipment that sets you free, unshackles you, lets you run wild. Somewhat like Aladdin's geenie!
