Ya it's a great tune Donald. I plan on recording a full DADGAD tutorial for it in the near future 👍

Very well done Aodán. Apart from the nice tune, your graphical style is very clean and professional. Just like your training video’s. I have a few questions: bars 23 and 24 go high up on the 1st string. When you play the tune fast, wouldn’t it be better to play those notes on several strings?
Second question, what program do you use to create these scores? Thanks a lot!

Hi Dany, yes some tunes in DADGAD are going to have bigger stretches. But unless your happy to change octaves half way through a line it's going to be difficult to avoid. You could start the whole tune an octave lover but sometimes that leads to not having access to the lowest notes.. It's a tricky balance sometimes. Some tunes are going to be easier in Standard and some are going to be easier in DADGAD. Regards the program I use, here is my process. I create the ABC notes for the tune and import them with musescore.com software. That software changes the ABC notes to music notation and then there is a process to add the guitar tabs. I change the musescore guitar tuning to DADGAD and fix any mistakes that the program makes. (Usually I have to change the pitch by '+1 above' to make it correct). I add in the Chords in Musescore with the Ctrl + K command. I use the "unroll repeats" tool and set the page view to "continuous view". Then I press play and record my screen with OBS software. Once the file is recorded I import it into Davinci Resolve video editing software to create the stylized video. It's quite an involved process but after doing it a few times it becomes a little easier. Hope that helps.

@@aodancoynemusic wow Aodán, that's an elaborate answer. thanks for that. I have musescore on my MacBook so I'll dig deeper in that. Davinci Resolve is new to me (I'm a FinalCut user) and looks great! You're a perfectionist. looking forward to more video's. Hope you had a great tour in Switzerland. Cheers, Dany

This so awesome! What kind of strumming patterns would you recommend for the A and B part?

Glad you found the video helpful. Here's my jig strum lesson that will link in well with this tune - ruclips.net/video/u6mTCSt20dY/видео.html
