- Not one to be satisfied with the status quo, Salomon recently went back to the drawing board in an effort to make their existing options even better. The result is the exclusive Fit to Ride Construction, which boasts boots that are thinner, lighter, and more compact. The Launch Lace STR8JKT Boa benefits from this process, 10% lighter and more streamlined than ever before, with enhanced durability. The Launch was developed by the Salomon team, and if it is good enough to stand up to the demands of Bode Merrill, Chris Grenier, and Jesse Paul, well, it’s pretty damn good. Comfort is paramount in this boot, which also features Salomon’s new Fit to Ride Liners that are constructed for maximum warmth, superior wrapping and heel hold, and zero pressure points. The redesigned STR8JKT Boa couples traditional liner laces with the Boa harness to securely hold the heel, keep things extra comfortable, and provide easy fit customization. When it comes to riding that’s rooted in a freestyle ethos, the Launch performs, Fit to Ride from the first day of the season to the fiftieth, and then some.

those boots look comfy
These are so damn narrow that they have me a tailors bunion on my right foot after a season. That seam that runs on the outside of the foot really didn’t help either. Well the good news is that there is no support or response left after 40 days of riding so I have to get new boots anyway!
How does this compare to the K2 Darko? is the Salomon SJ better than the K2 Conda?
