Thanks for the links. I can't seem to get any of them to work though. I'll have wait until the 'WW2 Story' RUclips channel releases them, probably tomorrow.
Only hap hazardly listened to the marvelous narrative story..Tuned in to the episode of Captain being in & out of prisoner of way camps ,Having made his way back to Frankfurt ..Hoping to start the story before this episode.Always the same with RUclips all the videos get mixed up
40000 went out. 30000 didn’t return.
Many echoes of The Boat in this one ... the adversity when the hunter becomes the hunted, air raids on the U-boat docks, then the gut-wrenching ending. The worst = the best of the series so far.
Where are these narratives coming from ? Books, diaries ? Who’s writing for this AI voice ?
"U nine five-ty three"...
Anybody that has anything to do with the sea knows that every lighthouse has an individual light flash.
Anybody who knows combat understands light discipline. Lighthouses were not lit during the war.
It seems that at certain times & locations in France lighthouses were not lit during WW2, in Britain lighthouses might only be lit when ships were expected in Britain at the same time.😊

O God!
Just wondering why "miles" and "meters" are used interchangebly?
We do it all the time in rural western Canada. The metric system was forced on us when all our land is surveyed out in miles
@@williamrudolph1791 makes sense
@@williamrudolph1791are you saying the German captain hired a Canadian ghost writer
Mertric system uses miles as well...one mile is 10 kilometer. A person from that era, that uses metric system...like Germans...could very well speak about miles...but with the concept of 10 km for each mile menioned.
@@rogerisaksson3842 Roger, that was the dumbest RUclips comment I've ever read. You are my anti hero
I do not care whether this story is true but true or not what bothers me most was the complete arrogance of this officer not admitting in any sense of the complete guilt of this nazi , of the total absence of any element remorse for the evil he and Germany laid out to so many people.. if this story is true then I'm glad he lost his family. We were fat to lenient with Germany after they were conquered.
Cope and seethe.
