A fight between 2 tanks would be : US Tank spots the NK tank US Tank come in range to fire NK tank still haven't notice US TANK US Tank fires, NK tank is totally annihilated and even if NK tank miraculously come in range to fire, they would just damage the reactive armor and then got instantly destroyed
I think it is more about a tank being a tank. Tanks are a big shit test to infantry and structures. Yes, modern armor would simply destroy the nk tanks with style. “Even the special forces can’t always get them.”That awkward moment when the average American gun hobbyist has better equipment and access than North Korean special forces.
How is that Awkward? The average American in 1776 had the greatest weapon on Earth, in the rifled barrel. Most English soldiers, as in over 90%, just had muskets. So the average Farmer had a better Gun than most of the Greatest Military Force on Earth at that time. Its the ONLY reason why America exists. Go look up the Battle of Bunker Hill, there is a reason the English won that battle but lost almost 3 times as many soldiers as the Americans did. Most deaths in battle come when one side breaks and flees the battle, but in the Revolutionary War the Americans were able to retreat from almost EVERY Battle without sustaining casualties. This was because of the Rifled Barrel. As the Americans fled (which they were great at during the War) they had sharpshooters slowing down the advance of the British, which allowed the fleeing Americans to gain distance and regroup. The Rifled Barrel was Very Expensive, but for people on the Frontier it paid for itself with its accuracy. Most Armies, including the British, did not have the money to arm their soldiers with Rifles, so they got muskets. America lost almost every major battle in the Revolutionary War, but they won almost every Skirmish because of the Rifle.
@@capnsteele3365 Oh I disagree. I would argue the greatest fault of George Washington was trying to beat the British at their own game. Wear down their ability to fight the war, forget paying for the war. Now, I am Not in Anyway diminishing the Fact and Truth of what you have said. I believe there are several metastable systems in this world of which democracy is the most stable system. The fact that authoritarian systems exist to this day proves to us that there are several systems that are metastable. Push them a bit and internal conflict can cause all sorts of chaos and suffering. But theres still a chance that a slight pressure wont change things at all. To hope for NK to change from within is a pipedream. The NK elites enjoy too many privileges to want to scrap their current system. Meanwhile, the peasantry are too weak to overthrow their government. It seems almost impossible for change in NK to come internally
Doubt it. I mean you got people in SK so stupid that they think a reunification will happen soon. And everything will be happy and nothing bad will happen at all.
@bribios I thought about this for a while years ago. The only way for nk to be free of their current system is from either a explosion wiping out the leadership and sk to quickly takeover. Or if the current leadership/many high ranking military flee claiming amnesty. Any uprising and shift to another government type would be have a prelude of mass lynchings if history has told us anything about when communist regimes fall.

Yeah. I'm frustrated that they didn't include Aircraft Carriers in the Naval Forces part. Aircraft Carriers are a force to be reckoned with, and is one of the main reasons why the U.S. is the most powerful in the world.
The problem is, N-Korea wouldn’t be able to do anything against US because of the difference in technology but Seoul would be hammered back to stone age in a couple hours.
@John Smith Sure and it wouldn't even take that long but I'm sure they would be able to fire at least a few times and even that would kill tens of thousands of people at minimum. If any of their rockets got through we would be talking about hundreds of thousands to millions of deaths.

@@cyrilleyong9615 your "pissing in a bush" comment makes me think of a story from Schwartzkopf's autobiography, "It Doesn't Take A Hero" (if I remember the title correctly). He described an incident during his time in Vietnam when two US military men went off by themselves for whatever reason and were later found decapitated, with their balls and cocks in their mouths, posted up someplace the VC knew Americans would travel.
The US Military action in Vietnam was not a War. A War involves taking as much of a enemies ability to wage war away as well as not allowing any suspected military asset to remain if possible. In Vietnam the US Military was not allowed to war fight in reality. It was simply a disaster of epic proportions . I wouldnt even describe it as a police action since we werent allowed to really do much from the get go unless fired upon. My dad and all 5 of his brothers are Marine Combat veterans who served in Vietnam. The NVA & Vietcong werent simple farmers as so many seem to want to describe them. They were battle hardened gorrilla fighters who had been fighting in bloody battles since WW2 . They had a long established transportation and supply route that involved a incredible network of underground tunnels facilities that were thousands of miles in length. Saying the US was Defeated in Vietnam is wholly innacurate. The US Military was easily capable of defeating the north vietnamese. But for political reasons the military was kept from unleashing its potential . The B- 52 bombers of operation linebacker 1 & 2 had no problem convincing the North Vietnamese that peace talks were in their best interest . And those as well as almost every other operation the US military were executing were neutered and left very little chance at inflicting the potential power the US military had by the policians. A Flight of 10 or so B-52 strategic bombers with the order to flatten Hanoi would have been devistating for the people living there. I witnessed 1st hand what a B-52 full of conventional gravity bombs does to a area that its carpet bombed. 10 of them would be a gruesom mess
I remember a couple of years ago when Kim Jung Il died and they North were all up and arms about defeating the South and US imperials. They had a propaganda footage of North Korean army with branches and leaves stuck to their body as camo taking up trenches position dug into the hill side. My first thought was, these poor souls might not know what hit them if the A-10 or F-22 decides to take out that entire hill with incendiary. This is not 1950s anymore where leaves and branches could be use as camo. The A10 and F-22 special camera makes the hillside light up like a Christmas tree with UV heat detection.

He called the Pueblo a massive ship, its only 177ft long, and it was a spy ship from the 60s. I mean, the American military industrial complex is a behemoth. For example the american airforce has the largest number of military aircraft in the world, the american navy has the second largest number of military aircraft in the world.

Also they glossed over the important part: America's navy is smaller for many very good reasons, and that's *why* it's stronger. North Korea is wasting money on a fleet that large. They only have about 1500 miles of coastline to worry about, and 46k square miles of land to support their fleet. America has 95k of coastline, and nearly 4 MILLION square miles of land to support it. We're pouring more resources into a smaller fleet, resulting in a much more powerful one. The navy comparison was roughly similar to saying that the North has more horses than the US. Also, the Pueblo Incident involved a slow research ship that had been commissioned for spy work and was crewed by barely trained sailors in international waters. It was being chased and fired on by several attack craft and a sub. The captain surrendered because his ship had little in the way of defensive capabilities (two .50 caliber machine guns that only one sailor knew how to operate) and he knew they couldn't escape. It took a submarine, five attack craft, and two jets to capture a slow boat armed only with two machine guns, and the North still crows about it to this day.
I read up on it, and the way the NK military treated the US POWs from the Pueblo was disgusting. It’s truly amazing how NK isn’t empty yet from everyone trying to get the heck outta there.
I also thought the navy comparison was pretty ridiculous. The table didn't even show aircraft carriers or missile cruisers. If my memory serves me right, the US has more than half of the world's aircraft carriers.

They are both completely and utterly misinformed. The US would destroy North Korea very quickly, but war will never happen. Seoul is too close to the border and there are thousands upon thousands of artillery shells just waiting to rain down on South Korea at a moment’s notice. So if the US ever did attack, hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions, in Seoul would be killed and/or injured. Basically, this is North Korea’s insurance policy. Conversely, North Korea also understands that there is a red line that they can’t cross or they will be annihilated. Sinking ships way out in the ocean and shelling outlier islands don’t cross that line. But a land invasion over the DMZ, or shelling Seoul, are absolute red line actions that would lead to war. Both sides understand the game and both sides will never go too far. After all, it’s been 70 years. There will never be another Korean War.

Yeah, the NK propaganda department keeps rolling out that they're the best nation in the world and that the U.S. is weak. All the humanitarian aid that the U.S. sends the NK is labeled as "tribute to the rulers of the world". North Koreans would totally be mindblown to find out that their country is so weak
@@ne0tas The hope is that North Korea would succumb internally, just as how the USSR did. Although the difference was, average citizens across the USSR were decently informed about the better conditions of the West, despite propoganda and various forms of information suppression. But the USSR did not just crumble because the people were tired of it, Soviet politicians were also tired of it (among other factors). North Korean higher ups compared to any North Korean citizen would know the most about the outside world, and I can't imagine there isn't a person who doubts their system - the West constantly doubts its own, and it is hard to imagine someone in the know to not doubt a system as awful as North Korea's. For a higher up, even briefly mentioning or suggesting a change will most likely lead to a quick and silent execution. Repression of this sort is not a good means of keeping control in the long term. When Stalin died, despite his death being portrayed across the USSR as tragic, many different people across the nation were happy that he was gone so that they could have a more reasonable leader. It's all just a matter of time and external pressure. No war is necessary, although every day the average North Korean is robbed of a higher standard of living. The status quo of North Korea is barely managed - any harsher of a system, and the people would relent or society would collapse. Any more liberal of a system, and that leads to the path of a more humane society. It is a lose-lose scenario for the North Korean Dictatorship. Our hope is for an event similar to the reunification of West and East Germany (which did not happen that long ago!) In our lifetimes.

I'm a soldier myself, served with the US Army 2000-2004. I've had buddies from Soul, Korea, and stationed there in Korea. In the US, it is called 'the forgotten war' between NK and US. I imagine the governments hating eachother and the citizens loving eachother. I would love to take these gentleman out for a beer.
It's wild seeing a lot of times they have almost a "we're lucky to be alive" realization. Like they dodged a bullet, no pun intended, by not being at risk to have engage the US military. Seeing them realize and learn just how unfair the fight would be is intriguing. Makes you feel truly sorry for those stuck in that country who are completely oblivious to just how dead they are when, what I believe, is the inevitable happening.
I would like these two men to watch some videos about the First Gulf War. Operation Desert Storm. Where you see Iraq, with 5500 tanks prior to the start of the conflict. Most of their tanks were superior to what North Korea has today. They had actually used them in combat with Iran. Iraq was the 4th largest army in the world at the time. The ground war began on the 24th of February. By the 27th of February, over half of all Iraqi divisions were destroyed. Iraq lost an estimated 4000 tanks. Comparatively, there were only 14 damaged M1 tanks and only 9 destroyed, 7 of which were friendly fire. The other 2 of the destroyed tanks were destroyed because the tanks were damaged and their crews destroyed them to avoid the tank being captured.
That's generally the MO for our military in the US. Quality over quantity. K/D ratio is an extremely respected metric. If you look at the vast majority of engagements with the US military with anyone, the casualties are heavily off balance. Just look at Mogadishu...18 killed on our side and estimated 700-1500 Somalis killed. That's usually the case in any engagement in the past several decades. Vastly superior tech and skill makes for a very effective force which then allows a smaller force. I'd be willing to bet that the 1.2 million active duty it's believed for North Korea to have would be more like our roughly 1.2 million active duty going against maybe 200,000. If that. They are so unfathomably behind tech and skill, it would be a slaughter. We would have casualties as there will be some "golden BBs" that make their way down range but it would be a landslide victory.

The navy part was extremely misleading. If you just look at the estimated tonnage of the US Navy it is larger than the next 13 navies combined, not to mention the technological advantage it has over the NK navy.
Not to mention the range of the U.S. torpedoes. While the range is officially classified, it's estimated to be over 50 miles. North Korea's torpedoes are unguided and can travel 3 miles.

Kudo GL for respecting the farmers

They need anything to prove they’re better
I read up on it, and the way the NK military treated the US POWs from the Pueblo was disgusting. It’s truly amazing how NK isn’t empty yet from everyone trying to get the heck outta there.

I remember a quote from George Washington " The American Christian will die on their feet before they live on their knees " 'nuff said.
George Washington wasn't really a Christian as most people think of them. He was an Unitarian. They have some rather sharp departures from Christianity as most practice it. I bring this up because although they do come from the Christian tradition, they don't usually refer to themselves as Christians. Early Americans weren't quite as religious as many believe. About a third of the founding fathers were either Deists or Unitarians. Yeah, that left the other 2/3rds as Christians, since atheism as we think of it today wasn't really a thing back then.
All that to say, that Doesn't sound like something George Washington would say, neither in content nor style. He was generally a moderate spoken man. How much truth there is to these claims, I don't know... but I'm confident that it's at least partially true. There is plenty of supporting evidence out in the open: follow the money, and look at all the cases of NK girls being shipped to China.

@Christian Ruiz the 1911 hasn’t been standard issue for a while actually, I believe at a certain level you can choose to carry one

Don't tell them about our aircraft carriers. That's our true strength. It's why we own the ocean. We can park a single carrier off the port of a country and basically shut it down. And we have 12 of them or something? More than the rest of the world combined. We can shut down all sea and air travel to and from your country at will. The aircraft carriers are truly our most valuable asset. Nothing can come close to competing with them.
The submarines also, there is one hiding in every countries waters at all time and each has a nuclear payload waiting to fire.
Did anyone else notice how much that one dude kept saying “ they won’t believe me when I tell the North Koreans this info “
I did. Im sure whomever needs to know, knows, but your average guy there knows nothing. Maybe he needs to tell'em so they can get shook out of they're delusion.
Yeah, the NK propaganda department keeps rolling out that they're the best nation in the world and that the U.S. is weak. All the humanitarian aid that the U.S. sends the NK is labeled as "tribute to the rulers of the world". North Koreans would totally be mindblown to find out that their country is so weak
all this info is literally out on the internet for all to see. No doubt that the higher ups in NK have seen this stuff.
The rockets comparison is a decimal in the US category. That is 1.056 million.

This is the 3rd video I've seen of these guys. I have to stop to comment, I like them a lot. This is how peace wins. Learning about other countries and countrymen.
Yup. That was a pretty one sided fight. 1AD
They haven’t seen that the U.S. is 11 to 0 in the aircraft carrier department
or the fact that the largest airforce in the world is the USAF (United States Airforce) and the second-largest airforce in the world is the USN (United States Navy)
There was another video where they said they rarely ever see jets and even seeing 3 in the sky at once scares them. Imagine them seeing the entire US Air Force coming.
The navy part was extremely misleading. If you just look at the estimated tonnage of the US Navy it is larger than the next 13 navies combined, not to mention the technological advantage it has over the NK navy.
Thats supercarriers too. It also has 9 flat-decked amphibious assault ships or "helo carriers".
Not to mention the range of the U.S. torpedoes. While the range is officially classified, it's estimated to be over 50 miles. North Korea's torpedoes are unguided and can travel 3 miles.
Music is unnecessary and prevents hearing sometimes. You guys are very interesting to hear and don't need music as backup.
I'm ex-military retired from the Marine Corps and i have nothing against the North Korean people and it's my wish that hopefully someday that Korea is unified as one Nation. One nation under the S. Korean government and not the dictatorship of N. Korea so that families from both the north and the south can be together again. As far as comparison's between their military capabilities and ours is a joke they are not even in the running. Being realistically though even N. Korea can still hurt the U.S. even though a lot of Americans don't think so or understand war, using proper strategy a small opponent can hurt a more larger force, food for thought.
Sure, especially since Seoul is 20 miles from the DMZ and there's thousands of rockets pointed south. Only a few have to work to inflict damage.
