- Hilarie and I are making progress on the new barn project: getting equipment moved around, putting up cattle feeder panels, and splitting a load of firewood we cut out of the winter pasture. Then it's time for afternoon chores with the animals and grilled chicken wings for dinner.

Hilaire is the real star of the show . she just lets Pete hang around to cook the pork belly and wings . that's team work ,you are lucky to have each other .. good video
ㅗㅓ.ㅜㅇ,ㅠ추추 ㅠ튜⛰😮
I love your comment " arrange the drill sharpening so the spanks hit a pile of greasy rags" I love dry humor.
I don’t know why, but I could smell everything in that video. The farm in summer, the splitting of wood, the grease that’s about on machines, the heat in the grass, and the cooking of chicken on the grill.. you unlocked a lot of childhood memories. These are always a pleasure to watch. As always, thank you Pete.
With planned obsolescence I can just imagine drill bit manufacturers everywhere shouting "NOOooo!" to the how to sharpen bits part of this video. I approve of this message. 😊
I sharpen my drills about the same way and I'm a metalworker. You need that "swing" for a nice cutting edge. These days, metalworkers don't do that anymore as the drills are never perfectly symmetrical and CNC-machines don't adjust while drilling as a conventional metalworker would. God I miss my good old Celtic and Senna lathes....
Loved this one. The best combination of Hillary, Pete, The cows, Pigs and of course the Pete jokes. I am making a collection of them, so thank you very much. The look on Hillary's face was priceless. Thanks again and keep on keeping on.
I'm embarrassed to admit that I had no idea, before watching all these great videos, all the many things a tractor can do and is used for! Amazing.
All the tractors parked in their spot in the shed with first snow on the ground would make great Christmas Card or calendar image for next year. Nice Video of the cows new digs and chicken wings.
"The peanuts are complimentary" , my new favorite 😂
Cows in the background saying eat more chicken😂😂😂 thanks Peete. I needed that laugh this morning. God bless
Such a cute picture when you were squatted down in the pasture with all the calves behind you!
We remember back when wings were the .03 cents a lb.
Some of the local watering holes had .10 cent wing night in the early 1990s. That's when they started to become more popular.
Hello all from Siesta Key Florida
We love it when ol' "what's her name" graces us with her presence. Poor Hilarie, getting all of this attention. LOL The new feeding station in the barn addition is lookin' good! A gate is a good thing there at the end. Mmmm... love me some yard bird wangs. I like that recipe, looks good. Those cattle always "give thanks" as you send 'em out onto new grass. We could learn a lot from the animals.
I think the only person I have ever met that I never forgot her name is the one I married. I was nearly knocked out once by a wishing board and the first thought that I could clearly identify was her. I wouldn't even dare to pretend that I couldn't remember her name because my last view would be her knocking me into the next century.
Thanks Pete and Bertha
Hi Pete, as usual, you are the Great American Farmer with true family views. You and Hilary are the best team. America could use more teams like your's. The barn and rest of the farm look great. See you next time. Take Care!
😂😂😂😂😂😂 into the workshop and eating it all, that cracked my ribs.... thanks Pete after along day working on hydraulics took a break only for you to throw in this😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks Pete, I sure hope Hillary was given extra duty pay for being an oiler when you were drilling😊. Much more hazardous than her regular duties. Your videos are so rewarding to watch. The barns are coming together so nicely. Thank you!
I've worked at several companies that had dust collecting drill doctors. Because they couldn't get them to work. Well at the first one I sat down with the thing and figured it out. If you know how, they actually work VERY WELL. The other two places couldn't believe their eyes when I started sharpening bits. So I taught everyone how to use it. The new addition sure is nice. I'm looking forward to seeing it in action!
It wouldn't be a few acres farm without Bossy Patty! My favorite cow. Thanks for sharing Pete and Bertha...uh..Hillary! 😉
Pete - it isn't insect damage in your walnut. It is the pith of the wood and it is a series of chambers in walnuts. They all have chambered pith. It is a way to positively identify walnuts.
Thanks. Learn something every day.
@@JustaFewAcresFarm yes!
@@JustaFewAcresFarm Pith is a light substance that is found in vascular plants. It consists of soft, spongy parenchyma cells, and is located in the center of the stem. It is encircled by a ring of xylem (woody tissue), and outside that, a ring of phloem (bark tissue).
Well for pithy sakes 😅😅😅😊
I plead the pith
We are all always coming back for those dumbest of jokes and the seriousness of small farming . 😂 ❤
Love your intros with Hillary. You two are perfect together!
You and wife make a good comedy team...... lol. Love those jokes. Enjoyed the video also. Thanks for taking me along.👍👍👍👍👍
I love the sound of the cattle munching on fresh grass something about it makes me salivate.
Pete you are a farmer and a mechanic you amaze me with your wisdom.
Good to see the banter between you and Hilda.😂
The new tractor shed is looking great!!
Those wings looked so good. You can hear the crispness in them. Thanks for the upload, Pete.
It's lunchtime and those wings look great!!
Love watching you and Hillary together, you make a great team, I think she loves the farm as much as you do. Love it when she is in your videos.😊
Pete,
Long-time viewer here.
Some things we'd like to see:
1- What food scraps does Hillary give the chickens? And what do they go bonkers for?
2- Show us how you guys clean the big solar panels from snowfalls, dirt, and dead insects.
3- Share with us the amazing summer fruits and vegetables you eat, like sweet corn, melons, and giant tomatoes.
Be sweet to Hillary. No need to call her crazy names. She's the special part of every episode.
Best,
Noah Abrams
Los Angeles
The calf's behind you in the new pasture was priceless.
Goodness Pete I’m 51 yrs old and just realized that the way you stacked your ends on your fire wood row allows you to have it straight up and down instead of tapered off like I’ve been doing my whole life. Lol
Thanks for another nice video Pete, I love seeing your day to day activities on the farm!
Black Walnut has a chambered pith and that's what you're seeing in the center of the log, it's normal and not caused by insects.
😮The peanuts were very complementary!!!😁😆😅🤣
Pete with your jokes and Hillary by your side you two could be the next George and Gracie! I think Hillary deserves a day to sit and read and have you serve her all of her meals!
There's a cone like thing called a "Vortex" that you can buy for the Weber. Or, you can make one. It causes a convection type of heat that really crisps up those wings.
You should think about blocking those space adjoining to the pillars on the cattle panels. They can get their heads stuck. My grandad and me had to take down a panel with a cow stuck in it like that. We just marked out a piece of ply wood the same shape of that area and covered it.
Great video Pete. The barns are really looking good. I love splitting firewood.
Great barn progress and yummy wings👍👍👍
Another great video thank you !
I enjoyed seeing how you cooked your wings !
Thanks for this great video Pete and Hilarie, love watching you two working together.Always enjoyable.❤️
The new barn is looking great for sure! So glad to hear you are getting rains to help feed those hungry cows of yours. And thanks for the chicken wing tips. Crispy not burned😅
“She always comes back” ❤ too cute.
Wow! Temps in 70s. Down here in Hillsboro Texas the nightly low has been 82°. The awful 😖 high temp is an average 105°. 🔥 Burn bans are in effect. Air conditioners are needing air conditioners.
Well there is just no other way to say it: I love you guys 😍 be safe
Hillary has such a Genuine Smile!!!
Thanks Pete and Hillary for another enjoyable video of a day on the farm. Lots of work but all done for the direct benefit of your families business. I feel that is so important that what you is a direct benefit to you and family. Good job.
You know about that man who took the fried chicken into his shed? He wasn't allowed in the house anymore until he apologized. He chickened out..
LoL 😆!
Lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Look up " the Bullish Farmer"
😂
As a retired Home Improvement Contractor…I just love when someone is making improvements to their property to make things work and look better…could watch much much more Thx Pete
Thanks for the drill bit sharpening tip. Great info.
In the spirit of Quid Pro Quo, I'd like to offer you this: A man walks into a bar. The second man ducks.
Great job with your barns, gland to see you have help. Great job Hilary, you too Pete.
Log splitters are the way to go. Life saver. Makes splitting wood so much easier for us in the later years in life.
I got one thing to say about this video! Yeah!! Hillary!!!
Really blessed by Hillary’s humble and meek spirit. She’s a true gem.
Thanks for another great video, Pete. I love seeing you and Hillary working together on the farm, love seeing the animals, too. And the barns are looking really good as you change them up.
Hi from Niagara falls Ontario canada. NEVER GIVE UP AND NEVER SURRENDER
I’m watching while I’m eating lunch, and when Gertrude 😉 got up and left, I laughed and spit part of a grape I was chewing.
Tried your chicken grilling method and it came unbelievably good. Thanks a lot for sharing the method.
With all the shenanigans and dad jokes you put Hilary through her name should be Saint... always love the videos and have an awesome day
Great video. I so enjoy watching You and Hillary working together, and happy wife happy life.
Looks real good you two. Looking at the organization makes all of the hard work rewarding.
I saw an "organic" farm that had the cows walk through a short tunnel to get to water. The tunnel had a big vacuum cleaner to suck the flies off!!!
Hey Pete
I have found that the easiest way to sharpen drill bits is to just buy a new one, hahaha
Great video Pete, nice to see Hillary pushin you about.
Ohh tell Hilary that she can also tell us jokes..😊
Be blessed.
Another great day. Tith pray abundence prosperity peace kindness joy bliss laughter to all. ❤😊
Pete I enjoy watching you prepare You’re a chicken pot and showing us how to cook them. Thank you so much for your show. I have thoroughly enjoyed your reacting with your wife and children and how you top of the animals from time to time and makes it laughable enjoyable. I will tell you that I also refer back to it once again and save it to just get something that I didn’t miss.
That's not Bertha or Beulah. That's Saint Hilarie, the backbone of the farm. The new cattle barn is going to work great and I never knew the pole barn had so much room in it until you started parking tractors there Mr. Pete. I love wings Mr. Pete and yours look excellent. I like to dry rub mine with Cajun seasoning before grilling them.
Can't get enough of these videos
Hillary: you’re a SAINT for putting up with Pete’s’s jokes… I’m sure you’ve had much more than we’ve seen on videos over your marriage. I really commend you for being a partner with him as you guys organize the new barn and clean up things. I know many women who would never help their husband with those type of jobs! I think you truly are a saint, and you have a nice smile.😊❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Pete: I sure enjoy learning how you cook your food out on the grill and give us new recipes. I always get hungry watching you grill out!!
Why does Horton have such a strange Bellow? He sounds as if he has congested lungs but I’m sure that’s not the case. I grew up around cattle, and I never heard a bull sound like him .!!
I’d be interested in what you had to say regarding that issue.
Pete, I like how you’re getting your tractors all lined up in a row in the new barn area!! It looks really stunning already and I know it’ll look better when you’re completely done
God bless you both! , Thank you for your wonderful videos❣️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you as always for sharing your day. Loved the video, looks like the place just gets better and better over time so nice , and you guys really injoy working together and sharing your day and life , a good life no doubt.
Pete, - your wife is a jewel, but I am sure you already know that -- You 2 work so well together ..........amen.
Love your jokes!!! Even the dad jokes...
This is an inspiration. Planting in that area not only helped the soil, the animals, and the air, it also helped the people!
24:00 "eat more Chicken" That's what the Cow on the poster says at Chick-fil-A restaurant 😂
I sure enjoy watching you work around your farm.
The wings look awesome, BUT the shirt is even better. LOL GO DAWGS
My Mom's name was Bertha Clare. Her whole life she was called Clare. All of her official documents... except her birth certificate said Clare, including her death certificate. She didn't hate Bertha, it was just not her, that was her Aunt.
Goodness I wonder how heavy those panels are. Hillary was an awesome hand. I laughed at your joke 😂
The pith dude is correct, every walnut will have the center pith from when it was a sapling. Wings look great and so does your weather, hope it keeps up for you.
the bit through the middle of the wood thats rotted out is the main twig when the tree grows they just rot out being soft wood and the bugs love it
That joke is really a nutty situation Oh, the good old wood splitter you got enough work for two years there😂❤❤
Thanks Pete and Hillary for another great video.
Pete, my friend, you are living the dream!
I’m so excited to see Pete wear a University of Georgia t-shirt! Go Dawgs!
Love watching your videos from down here in Georgia. I always learn something.
I learned to hand sharpen drill bits back in the early 70's. I use a grinder, with a clean dressed wheel. The last shop I worked in, purchased a Drill Doctor. There was no way you could properly sharpen a bit on the thing, even if you just wanted to cut wood. I suggested returning it, but it's been collecting dust in the corner for about 18 years now.
I always enjoy your family's videos
I sold my Clams (Maine Steamers) today for $3.00 lbs. I'll trade you clams for some wings!! They'll go great with your sweet corn. Another fine video!
The grill is the better choice, but when time is short an air fryer works well also
Love when you end cooking on the grill ❤
Thank you so much for letting us escape our lives, and visit with you for a short time
Termites? That is what our Mesquite tree looked like. Doing a great job Pete.
Enjoy the cooking bit and the humor. Great video Pete
My favorite farming show. Thank you.
Critters love building their house in a Briggs blower housing!
Hay pete nice to see you working on your new barn project can't wait to see it complete im sure it's going to make things much easier for you and your wife oh and those chicken wings look yummy thanks for sharing pete
You two really enjoy farming! Really enjoy your videos
Pete to take the wings up a notch, after you put the sauce on them, put them back on the grill for a few minutes. Then put them back in the sauce. I make my sauce the same way and they come out just right for me. Since I learned that little trick I always do it that way. OK so now I need to go cook some wings. Thanks for the videos and enjoy cuz.
I hope you shared those tasty chicken wings.
All your critters sure do look healthy. I enjoy your corny jokes and puns. Stay well.
Thanks, Pete and Hillary. Have a great day!
Thanks Pete and Hilary 😍 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
