- Universal Studios Japan may very well be the best Universal Studios park in the world. Featuring a great mix of exclusive attractions, spectacular entertainment and crowd favourites that have been killed off elsewhere in the world.

I hope to see a re-review of this park. Maybe in 2022?
Why does Japan have the best Disney AND Universal studios park? Smh
I think it has to do with the competition in Japan being so fierce. With Disney not owning Tokyo Disney Resort everything they do is held to a higher quality standard, this makes Universal have to meet that quality to keep up with them!
The Japanese Parks are licensed and not owned by the American Companies and not subject to the same budget restrictions. Also Americans care about quantity while Japanese care about quality.
@@Lil_Angry_Bitch Universal Japan is outright owned by Universal
Because they care about THE QUALITY OF THEIR SERVICE and THEIR HIGH STANDARDS.
@@philipssecurityates4931 ARE YOU DRUNK?! CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'RE SAYING!
Of course it’s great, cuz it’s Japan.
Universal Orlando is WAAAAAAY better though.
Orlando is amazing tbh lol
@@keyboardking777 yes your right
@@keyboardking777 Have you been in the Japanese one? It's surperior tbh. Japan just does it right like no other. Depends on what you're looking for ofc :P
@@rainbowMFdash USJ has nowhere near the amount of variety and attractions that Orlando has. Saying it's better is just flat-out wrong. The popular consensus that "Japan does it better" is complete bullshit. I blame Tokyo DisneySea for that, which isn't even THAT great of a park.
$70 for a one day ticket what!!!!?? I paid 120 and that for a Florida Resident discounted price
Kitty Gang oh shit I need to get that with my Florida resident too
Anaheim Disneyland tickets are about $110 on average.
Tokyo Disneyland tickets are about $60-$70 give or take. WTF! Lol
That’s how much the year pass costs us here in California 😱
Holy shit, your prices are expensive as fuck!
When we were young, the prices of TDL and USJ were about 5,000yen (roughly $50), so we are pretty angry that the prices are getting higher and higher.
.....But if you compare it with the prices in the USA....I think we shouldn't complain so much.
Welcome to America
We all know about "Japanese standards" which means high quality in terms of its own standards and service. No wonder why they have the BEST THEME PARKS IN THE WORLD including Universal Studios Japan which is far better than the one in Orlando.
FAR?
It better but not FAR better
@@luuchoo93 it is far better than orlando (personal experience)
Arif Gunawan It could never be better than Orlando (personal experience)
You're on crack if you think Universal Japan is better than Universal Orlando.
Cant wait for Nintendo is going to be a theme park for 2 to 3 years later.

Me personally, I think they’re all great in their own ways.

Their Harry Potter ride was SO FCKIN AWESOME
They have a JAWS Ride - that alone makes it better than the US parks.
Hollywood has a jaws ride
Hollywood still has the Jaws section of the studio tram tour, but in Japan they have an entire standalone Jaws ride which is spectacular! - Luke
Jaws Ride? Not that great...
Oh hey there
I went a couple of years ago, I did Jaws twice. I haven't been on that ride since 1999 in Florida. It was awesome! And at times it had a 50 minute wait time, so still popular.
Japan has the best services! Thats why theme park in Japan is way better than the rest of the world. Clean, police, entertaining, over the top exciting attractions, you name it!. Japan is the best place on Earth
I love this park and I haven’t even been there. It offers the very best of Universal attractions, and they are maintained so much better than they are/were stateside - especially Jaws and Jurassic Park. The tall buildings and hotels outside of the park look like they lessen the immersion a little bit, but that’s a small complaint. Great video 👍
Jason Thomas You have to get here sometime it’s great! It’s interesting because from areas like Jurassic Park you can see a massive bridge with cars which you think would ruin the immersion but the theming is such a high quality it draws your eyes away from it!
Also the high buildings can give you some nice views of the park from your hotel room!
The fact that there are subtle one piece references makes my life
We happened to go during Universal Cool Japan, where an entire land in the park gets partially rethemed to One Piece, it would be amazing for fans of the show! - Luke
I love USJ. A lot. I live half an hour away from it and have an annual pass, but the queues it can generate can be insane. Especially for the vr coaster close to its open or on a Sunday/holiday. Any day in Halloween is also stupidly packed too, but its enjoyable enough to see all the great costumes.
Is it busy in April?
@@theshape7214 April usually isn't too bad because everyone is starting a new school year. At the moment the amount of people who can enter is restricted due to covid too so it isn't crowded.
@@xNintenJenx cool! Thank you. I am hoping to visit for cherry blossom 🌸 season in a couple years
Islands of Adventure is still my favorite overall, but USJ is certainly the "greatest hits" of universal. I love it so much! Having Flying Dinosaur and a classic demolished ride like Jaws in the same gate is just plain amazing. And their nighttime parade is easily the best parade in any theme park around the world. The animatronics on the floats combined with the projection mapping makes for a true spectacle. With the upcoming Mario expansion it may take over as my #1, unless IoA gets Nintendo as well!
I'm with ya! Islands of adventure SLAPS!
Jack Bergman it indeed slaps mang
They won't. Epic Universe in Orlando will be getting Super Mario Land.
@@detroitdiezel7856 Yeh i think i commented this before epic universe was even announced. Although I do think the door's still not entirely closed on Nintendo expansions opening in studios/IOA if it's as successful as potter was!
@@Tortidis987 I highly doubt it. Rumor has it that the Kidzone area of USO will get a retheme to DreamWorks IP. IOA won't be doing anything major until after Epic Universe has opened. And even then, it won't be Mario.
Looks like US Japan has a lot of attractions that were closed in USOrlando.
I agree that USJ is one of the best parks I've ever been to however there is no way that it beats Tokyo Disneysea, which is the best park ever built in the entire world.
We love USJ as well, but we agree with you that DisneySea is the World's Best Theme Park! - Luke
Tokyo Disney sea is rubbish
Walking through Amity Village again would be absolute heaven for me!
Once Nintendo land opens, this park is not only going to be great, but legendary.
Love this video! We just spent a week staying at Universal Studios Japan and loved it! Many vlogs about USJ coming!
And for weebs In this theme park especially,we have jojo’s bizarre adventure
Suddenly, I now live in Japan
Didnt they have a sailor moon one at one point

I've been to Tokyo Disney and Osaka Universal in the past few years - yes they are great. Beating the competition all over the world. Jaws is still amazing!
That's real nice, what they did is smart. Keeping prices low where it is most important- food and ticket. Meanwhile, merch being more expensive to make up for that fact. Although, it still seems to be reasonably affordable, considering clothing is relatively more expensive in Japan, similar to NZ. $40-50 in NZ (USD$40 is probably $45-50 NZD) for a decent t-shirt is definitely normal pricing, so that's fine anyway. Would like to go theeeere!! SLYTHERIN HOUSE- WAIT FOR ME!!!
Great video. I've been to Orlando's Universal and IOA, and Singapore's Universal and this one is definitely on my list.
I went there in September for 2 days. It was so amazing!!!
Beautiful!!! Best park ever!! I was there and it was amazing!!
I recall the "Curious George" show was a "Yo-Kai Watch" one some time ago...they must create a lot of those shows for special events like the "Yo-Kai Watch" one was.
Yeah universal studios japan makes events based on japan like the cool japan event and recently they Made attractions based on monster Hunter detective conan lupin the third and my favorite attack on titan and if i Made a cool japan event i would choose
Kakegurui:a gambling anime very good for an escape game
Haikyuu:a voleyball Anime for a walkthrough attraction
Godzilla vs Kong:This is obvious an attraction in 4d
The return of attack on titan
Super Sentai:the japanese power rangers in an overlay in a live show
Sonic:for a overlay in space fantasy the ride
I like this park, even though I only saw the entrance shops and hotels in person. One time, at the shop with the Gacha Machines, they were selling Capsule Plarail Thomas models! I got Captain there.
their kids area is amazing. great for parents with small children
It’s literally so good
Ok I am planning on coming to this park by 2021. I will be back here to see if i acomplished it.
I love the parks in Orlando and Hollywood but I really wanna visit USJ, it just seems so incredible plus they’re getting Super Nintendo World early and being the nerd that I am I’m dying to go xD
Damn! They still have jaws at universal japan? Lucky! I wish it was still around in florida
I’m EXTREMELY sad that I wasn’t in the video because I THINK I went to universal studio on the same day ;c
Annual ticket is just $190 for 70 days exceptions and $240 for 20 days exceptions!
I love USJ!!!!
At least you can get a little bit of JAWS when you ride the studio tour in USH, it’s certainly not the same, but still makes me happy
that Nintendo World would be worth it. Gonna go back to Osaka after this challenging times.
Love from Osaka! 頑張って👍
In regards to a lot of the loud fashion in Japanese theme parks. It is common to buy stuff to wear only when you visit the places. Most of the time those extreme clothes aren't worn in every day (maybe in the house) but when going to the park again, it is a great way to get in the mood and atmosphere.
I really want to go there,as a movie lover,I CANT WAIT TO GO THERE ALTHOUGH THE TICKETS ARE SO EXPENSIVE,I’m really disappointed that the back to the future ride has closed,I’m a fan of it and I really wanna go there 😔
I miss living in Orlando but Osaka's Universal is incredible it just is always busy.
Hey Yukendoit! Long time watcher here, love your videos, you are one of the ways I keep up with everything going on at Universal Japan! We have to agree as well, it's crazy that when we went earlier this year that what was considered a "quiet" day in Japan would be a moderate to busy day in Orlando crowds wise! Keep up the great work! - Luke
ReviewTyme oh dude that is so dope! I think their Halloween event is up there with some of the best!
My advice is to go on during the Winter months and on weekdays. Although it closes early, USJ becomes empty around 3-4pm and you can walk on to most rides. Opening day for minions at 5pm was a 25 minute wait. You would never see that in the US for an opening day ride. It makes it great for someone who lives in the Kansai area and has a season pass.
Enjoyed the video...
In 2016 had the opportunity to visit all three Hogsmeades and USJ had the best. It completely immersed you into the environment which Orlando and Hollywood do not do with sight lines and other items that bring you out of the environment. Really had a challenge with the policy that didn't allow reentry so had to stay in the park all day even through staying at an official resort hotel.
You forgot to mention USJ's Hogwarts castle is the only one with Black Lake next to it which makes for some great reflection pictures of the castle.
We’re gonna go there but I don’t know what date but I’m exited 😻🙀😺
Enjoy! It truly is a great park! - Luke
should point out you might need to reserve your ticket to get into the Wizarding World - this can be a bit of a hassle because the ticket booths are kind of hidden away (my friend and I had to get directions from multiple people). But when you've got it it gives you a specific time to enter so you go queue up at that time.
And even though no one spoke english (and we didn't speak japanese) we got by pretty ok. Even managed to get in the right queue to look around Hogwarts without getting on the ride - there are no signs so you have to ask.
I’ve been in disney land and universal studios in Japan.
Have a good Day!
my fav part is the awesome anime shows that are there
Great video. I live in China and have never visited any Universal park. I’ve been trying to decide which I should try and Japan’s Paris are obviously more convenient.
Duston McCreary Well there's going to be one in Beijing I believe next year so you could wait for that.
And now we're getting Super Nintendo World in summer 2020...
I'M SO CANNOT FUCKING WAIT TO GO HERE ON DECEMBER 2020!!
My family is planning on going to Japan next summer and Osaka is on our list of cities to visit! To help me convince my parents, what most sets this park apart from Orlando? I think my biggest selling point to my parents is Nintendo Land!!
I love USJ! The theming, and rides are increíble. Flying Dinosaur, Harry Potter, Jaws , Minionland, the snacks...all worth the trip.
It really is a great park all around, the perfect mix of everything Universal does well around the globe in a single park! - Luke
And so does freeze ray sliders flying snoopy moppy balloon trip and Elmo's go go skateboard I wish those rides will come to us universal parks and Disney parks in future and it will be a vampirina theme for a vampirina land for Disney parks and so does a Abby hatcher land for universal
Those little edible gifts are called Omiyagi. It's custom to buy little treats for friends/family etc.
Japan just makes everything better
I want to visit Universal Studios Japan during winter (not too snowy). Can you suggest which month shall I go visit?
Merch is only 7/10?! Bro! I’ve been to Universal Orlando and and I swear USJ has the best merch! I went nuts when I saw USJ Merch!
And it just got a huge upgrade. SUPER NINTENDO WORLD!
Great review! new subscriber here
Very good✌🏼
I’d honestly just ride Jaws as many times as I could. 😂 That was and will always be my favorite ride, I love it so much. And while I love Universal here in the states, the fact that it doesn’t have that ride anymore really bums me out, even though I love the Harry Potter stuff.
Thank you sir for the video! How many days i need to spend in universal studios osaka 😍
Hey Ahmed, while you could do the park in one day, if it's your first time I'd definitely recommend spending two days there so you can take things slower as well as fit in any rerides you might want to do :) - Luke
Guess I’m doing a solo trip to japan.
They have the best merchandise in the world ,period.

ThomasCTH yessss of course! i Love their Merchandise in japan everything is look presentable and nice! Very Good Quality! Thumps Up!

The Jaws shop is amazing
Awww you completely overlooked Sailor Moon!
Very nice video
it so nice place
If you mentioned this in the video and I missed it, sorry, but roughly how many days would you recommend to get around and enjoy this theme park without rushing to get it all done? For an adult with no children if that helps at all.
We got a 1.5 day ticket which got you in at 3pm on the first day and all day on the second which worked really well for us, we got everything done including some re-rides. They’re available for international guests on the Klook website. You could probably get the park done in a day if it wasn’t a holiday or weekend but it would be a more stressful experience! - Luke
4:00 I NEED THOSE NOWWWWW
funny how Universal Studios Japan has Disney and Cedar Fair stuff (Marvel and Peanuts) put together in the same park!!! awesome!!
reminds me of Orlando’s park so much what
Are there any character meet & greets like there are in the other parks? And if so, are the movie-based human characters English or Japanese-speaking?
The only character meet and greets I remember seeing when in the park were fur characters including Seaseme Street Characters, Snoopy and The Peanuts, Hello Kitty and the Minions. All interactions we had with characters at USJ were great! - Luke
It would be cool if they opened a park in the UK!
If terminator and jaws are not around in the next couple of years
WE RIOT
It was a joke.
I agree its the best Universal park. Got to go a few years ago right before they closed Back to the Future. Really enjoying these videos.
Ross Gilbertson ughhhhh i wish i got to visit when back to the future was open. The minions ride and land has proven to be a massive hit over here though and it's really cute. Definitely a great business move but nothin comes close to BTTF for me
Can’t wait to see the Ghibli themed park that’ll be built soon!
That park looks great, can't wait to visit it in a few years when it opens! - Luke
I have went there before and it’s really very big compared to Singapore ones
Idk if this’ll be seen or not. But when does USJ have their collaboration events? Like anime & video game The Real events that they have with Monster Hunter, AOT, Godzilla etc? I’m planning a group trip for the future and want to go during that time of the year. Thanks in advance!
cool japan anime and japanese stuff event is usually done at the beginning of the year like january or february
Can you do a history video on this
It’s so strange to look at the park because it looks so similar to Orlando yet so different🤯
I live near this park. Been to Universals all the world. Its Japanese service. The best Universal ever
The night time parade Disneyland has it too, with the projections on the wall, yes they have it too.
I hate Disney
Idk island of adventure is great now also. The new jurassic park rollercoaster is insane (velocoraptor), hagrids motterbike, and the hulk rollercoaster. Also you have spiderman, kong island, og jurassic park, dudley do right. Then you have the escape rooms and nice restaurants in city walk
I wish that there would be a new Crash-themed amusement park worldwide for Crash Bandicoot fans in the future. 🎢
how cool, an evangelion ride
whats the 1 for in 81?
No one:
This guy: Eight out of Ten!
I’m jealous because the actual actor for mr Olivander goes there
Idk I literally just came back from Tokyo Disney land/sea and found it lacking when compared to Disney world in Orlando. Disney sea was great for its uniqueness but not comparable to what Disney offers in Orlando. I was happy to see 20,000 leagues existed still and was able to experience it again in revamped style. Granted journey to the center of the earth was closed which really pissed me off. Otherwise ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I’m sure it’s great to have if you live closer to it, otherwise, there is a very big reason you see people from ALL OVER THE WORLD going to Orlando for Disney. I’d be hard pressed to ever go back when I have Disney world in my “back yard”. Unfortunately, I didn’t do universal while there. (I blame typhoon hagibis.)
"Ticket costing only 70usd" 🥲
I thought the theme park close to my house that was 50usd was already way too expensive 😂
I got a japan ad. Lol
In my opinion beats Disney Sea by far! Best park I’ve been in my life!
Do they have the studio tour like the California one? Is the rides in english?
No studio tour as this is just a Theme Park not a working film studio, most of the rides are almost completely in Japenese but it's easy enough to follow along with what's going on (Especially if you've been to other Universal parks and are familiar with the rides) - Luke

I'm thinking of visiting sometime. Not that it's a big deal but how's the English with some of the attractions..or is it all in Japanese?
