- FIRST LOOK: The Hummer is back and GMC is finally ready to expand the lineup. On the outside you will discover Void Black, 18in wheels and 35in tires. On the inside is a massive 13in infotainment system, digital gauge cluster and removable roof glass roof panels. Powering the Hummer 3x are (3) electric motors producing 1000HP. You’re the genius comparing a Manufacturer’s *Suggested* Retail Price to the prices well above that which people WILLINGLY sign the dotted line for. They aren’t one in the same. 1 is required and the other is a choice. Joe I've always been a can of the GMC Hummer EV the moment first saw it debut. The Edition 1 that U brought to us was really impressive. This 3x builds upon the excitement and this color I dig as well. Speaking of Hummer Joe, will the Hummer SUV be coming soon 🤞

I'm so glad that GM is bringing Hummer back. Only as a sub brand though, which is okay. Nice job, Joe and Lori! Maybe GM could bring back Oldsmobile and Pontiac.
They can let the Olds sleep but it would be nice to bring the Pontiac back as a line of high performance sedans and suvs.

It looks great in that color. I can't imagine what people will do to the Hummer EV. From what I hear , it's will over 100$ to charge those as well.
$100 to charge? Hardly. If it has a 200kWh battery then taking the national average of $0.14/kWh then it will cost $28 to charge at home

@@DarkJediChrisG-1425 my original comment was talking about on a public dc fast charger . With a level 1 charger, it may take a couple of days . Level 1 is a standard outlet by the way. Level 2 is something like a telsa wall charger you can get for example. Also level 3 is public dc chargers .

Same cameras as my ZR2, I don’t like that the entire screen does not fill. Does anyone know if the update to CarPlay will be taking over these issues? I don’t like the half screen CarPlay either, filling half the screen with the clock. Any updates on that by chance?

with a few ppl and cargo, this is over 10,000 lbs... dont you need a special licence for that?
no... most 3/4 ton pickups (F250, Ram/GMC 2500) are 10k+ GVW. GVW upwards of 25-26,000 or more requires a CDL... otherwise, no license required. Most straight (box) trucks you see people driving on the road are probably 15-20k GVW and those guys all have the same license as you- same for all those rentable moving trucks.
Hopefully this years model doesn’t break

Exterior Looks better in black. Interior looks cheaper in black
No charging network. Don’t go more than 150 miles from your house and expect not to call for a tow truck.
It is going to see how all of this turns out.
i saw one of these in person, and i was shocked to see how big it wasn't...i mean, its like the size of a Yukon...don't get me wrong, it's badass for sure...just thought it would stand out more..

until it inevitably breaks down from hardware or software QC issues or gets water intrusion... and then you need a real offroader to pull you out, at which point the hummer exceeds their tow capacity

And forget that, as long as they pay they will continue to inflate these vehicles
Also the 3rd party charger networks In the US aren't comparable to tesla, and fail many times
So imagine driving miles to charge, and the station doesn't charge u back up
This is why electric is useless (except tesla) for many years to come
Better get a hybrid, or plug In hrybid, or just gas
Also extreme hot or cold cities affect battery longevity, range, and ofc heating or cooling the interior cabin burns more range
So all in all electric cars are a gimmick
Also charging cars at home costs almost as much as gas
So unless u charge a tesla free at their stations and not in ur home
There's no cost savings. Not that an affluent person cares about costs of running vehicles anyway

Ford and RAM (😂) *cannot* compete with GM. Their offerings better be $50k - $60k cheaper than this or they won’t even be taken seriously by GM customers.
Similarly to Toyota’s Tundra story, when they update their technology & cosmetics, they’re only playing catch-up to GM with features like rear-view camera mirrors and vertical LED lighting, it’s the same story with RAM now which was proven by their REV concept, they are *clearly* inspired by General Motors - just not able to deliver in the same regard just yet.

Yup. The Ram EV seems to be quite a bit of a flop. They revealed their concept truck beforehand to build up hype, but didn't deliver. Instead gave us another F-150 Lightning. Ram basically copied Fords approach, but being late to the game with it. By the time the Ram EV makes it into production, GM would have 3 fully electric trucks built from the ground up avaliable.. GM at the moment is leading this segement, by some margin too.

While I’m glad that we finally get to see the Hummer EV in a color besides white and that matte green color that I’m not the biggest fan of, I wish that they painted this one in a bit more of a vibrant color like Afterburner, Deep Aurora, or Supernova, all colors that have been confirmed will be on the Hummer EV.

GM needs to offer a gas and/or diesel version. To GM, bring back the 454! I think that would be 7.3 liters in today's terms. A 7.3 Vortec V8, and an enlarged version of the Duramax diesel.
So glad gmc did the hummer instead of Chevrolet, they would’ve cut corners with cheap plastic and cloth seats

GM is such a mess. They make a killer truck like this, get over 70k orders immediately, and then dribble out production so slowly that their customers are furious. They didn't even make 1000 in the first six months, and to my knowledge are still producing very few of these. This is a scandal of the worst kind. Why are they showing new variations, when they can't make what people have already ordered.
Multiple people at GM needed to be fired over the delays and blocked production. They only have 2023 until the CyberTruck starts to show up, and that will give the Hummer some serious competition.
