Your bit, Mike, with eating the snacks. 😅😂🤣
To answer some questions you had: this flick follows the "vampire rules" from the original Dracula book (Salem's Lot does this also).
Vampires can become bats, wolves, fog, or even moonlight.
Lucy, in Stoker's book, takes a *long* time to fully vamp.
The Master has a human familiar, like in Salem's Lot. Renfield from Dracula. A sort of semi-vampire caretaker who can walk in light and do paperwork.
Roddy took the stake out of Evil and didn't cut his head off or burn him, so he didn't die.
The sequel to this from 1988 has even more forgotten vampire lore. Running water and roses being "tools" to combat vampires. It's a super fun sequel with the script flipped so Roddy (Peter Vincent) now believes and Charlie doesn't. And the vampire "in training" is hilarious.
Awesome reaction, Mike. Thanks so much!
(The Farrell remake is mediocre, imao.)

Hey brother thanks for the details! So hmm that's two people giving a nod to the sequel. I might be chasing this one down for a reaction soon. I know you got some other requests in the bag but I'd like to stick with Fright Night since there's at least 2 people who would want to see a reaction to it, and it's still fresh on my brain. Also Stoker's Dracula, the movie is another one I haven't seen since I was a kid. Is that worth a watch?

    • @gggooding

@@Yeedeed Dracula from Apocalypse Now/Godfather director Coppola is... pretty good? Well...
It's kinda bad, honestly. Same with Stoker's 19th century novel, frankly...kinda bad; but slightly fun and "important", I guess.
FN2 is arguably not great but it's *extremely* fun. It's silly and stupid and has charm to burn. You'd likely enjoy watching it. 's got a rock solid Renfield, for what that's worth. And hot vampire chick on roller skates!
Dracula doesn't even drink wine, so he can go eat a rose...

@@gggooding you had me at hot chick on roller skates! Just kidding. But seriously... you did. Hey man well looks like it's a done deal! I'm gonna get that one up next in line! And what the hell, probably the Bram stoker one too. I could use a refresher, I mustve been around the same age I was when I saw Fright Night as a kid. Here's to hoping I don't have to hear too much of Evil speaking in the sequel!

    • @gggooding
      @gggooding 2 года назад

@@Yeedeed You'll be relieved: Evil Ed's not in the sequel, which is arguably a flaw; shoulda cameoed at least. Not like the actor woulda been hard to hire. Oh well.
Coppola's Dracula *isn't* boring, I'll certainly give it that. I look forward to you watching it.

This indeed is one of my most naustalgic movie I saw when I was a kid. I find most movie reactions are annoying because I don’t think the person reacting don’t relate very well to what they’re watching but you did a very good job my guy. Also appreciate the detailed editing without cutting out a lot of the key parts.🤙🏻

About me going on about she's in high school: Yeah no, I completely get she's not a child in real life, I think I even said that in the reaction video, and put her age at the time on the screen. For me it's just weird that a 42 year-old Chris Sarandon at the time would be romantic with someone who is supposed to be high school age (at the most 17-18). You definitely would not see a 42 year-old actor getting with a high schooler in a movie today.

I didn't think they really needed Amy to look like his lost love, especially as he just uses her after that and isn't really concerned about her getting killed.
I love the cigarette case scene.
Ed is scary because Peter knows Ed could kill or turn him.
You'll find '80s movies don't always care about who's in high school. And, from what I hear, _Pretty Little Liars._
Chris Sarandon wanted to eat apples as a nod to fruitbats. (Just roll with it.) His ex-wife, Susan Sarandon, starred in the vampire film _The Hunger._
