Personally I love the updates on the older trucks because it updates something dated. Love that kind of stuff. That said I wouldn't do anything to a new vehicle. I would wait til it was old. I personally like the stock grill on the current 2017 and up f series trucks. Now I really love the 2016 grill on the 2016. The prior gen super duties look more thought to me.
Great vid. We did ours today. Tomorrow we tackle the wiring. One question: The 4 original stab tabs on the outside of the letters F and D, 2 on each side, those female tabs are not used anymore, are they?

How is the raptor style grill holding up? Is it fading in color at all? Any other issues over the long term?
So far it still looks great. No issues at all.
Digging the new intro logo!! Install looks good!!
Thank you. I might have to start paying you to be my hype man.
Did you use the old grills side pieces to cover in where the lights were supposed to go on the raptor grill?
Nope. That’s the way this version came.
It’s the DooD grille!
Hey. Nice video but how did you locate the running light bulb from the blinker light?
Great question. We just looked it up on google. Lol.
@John Engel thanks. What's the Gauge Size on those Plastic Connectors? 22-18 or 16-14?

Thank you so much. You are correct.
8:28 when you splice the wiring is the Coating stripped away where the crimping takes place or the coating on the wiring stays on?
@John Engel 7:29 what's the Gauge size wiring on those Plastic Connectors?
Do you know how to do this on the 2021 f150 XLT with no camera?
Unfortunately I haven’t worked on a 2020 yet.
Dam they make it look easy. I did my today and it would not fit right.
lol. Nothing is easy anymore but this one didn’t cause too much trouble. I hate that your didn’t go smoothly.
Is there an easy way to replace the lights? My middle light burned out after 3 months.
They should just replace like a normal bulb.
@@JohnEngel unfortunately it looks like I have to uninstall everything to gain access to the screws that hold these lights in place.
@@michaelriegert9260 that’s no good. You might want to contact the original maker. I’m sure it’s under warranty.
Still have stock grill?
I think I do. I’m keeping it in case I ever want to go back to stock.
did you dyno before/after?
It only picked up 5whp but not too bad overall.
No front camera on that one?
Not on this one.
Not on this one.
Hey John, I don't see a link to buy that grille
I just checked and the one we bought is currently unavailable. :(
@@JohnEngel do you have another one that you would reccomend.
Those type connectors are garbage.Positaps are much better and also don’t require cutting and can also be removed and reused
Good to know. I will look into them.
@John Engel greetings. I'm wondering what's the Gauge Size on those plastic crimp connectors? 22-18 or 16-14?
