    Not sure how i missed this but very nice job. Kinefinity actually has my favorite image and color science out of all systems next to ARRI. For me, it’s ARRI, Kinefinity, RED, BM, Panasonic in that order. $10 is a steal for what you’re getting. I would like to hear more from them on the hot media issue. Hopefully it’s something that can be addressed with a fan upgrade or even i the software. You don’t want your media getting that hot.

    How this image quality and workflow compares to the Blackmagic? Especially with the new Pyxis squarish design?

    awesome review man!! i am thinking of buying this camera... or a version of it.. maybe the s35 mkII....

      Thank you man. I really appreciate your comments. I would definitely look at options and watch Cine Dailies review of the S35 mark ii.
      Only thing I will say is the built in e-ND and additional card slot are possibly worth going to the edge line.

      @@JamesJacksonFilmz yeah... thing is a own a mattebox and have 4.56 ND filters so i have that covered!
      and well the second slot is a good thing but ive always worked with just one, with one TB SSD for my black magic so thats kind of it... and the price difference its something so... i just love the color science and the form factor of it... i iam still saving to buy it cause here in chile, its not a cheap camera.
      import and taxes and US DOLARS!! hahahahahah
      and already talked to Cine Dailies... been asking questions since day one hahahahahahah
      well.. thanks for the review... its awesome!!!

    For the Doc, woulnd't the C70 + Lightraw doing the same job ? As the Raw light is quite good, and the dual gain output sensor has gread dynamic range (even by 2023/24 standarts).

      Not really. We were shooting on Tokina vista Vision Primes and was trying to get the full frame look. Also the c70 lacks SDI and a second video output, which we needed as we had a first AC pulling focus and another monitor for G&E

    What’s version of KineOS were you running? Was it the 7.2 that just came out?

    • @JamesJacksonFilmz
      @JamesJacksonFilmz  11 месяцев назад

      No this was 7.1 or 7.0. This was back in July when we started filming.

      Ahh okay. I’m hoping the new OS, using the exFat system, will flatten out some wrinkles

      @@paoloa424 from what I’ve been informed by Sarah who works as a rep of Kinefinity, the update reduced the boot up time to 25 seconds.

    Does it have cinema DNG? It’s difficult to get a definite answer

      No it’s only ProRes. There was suppose to be a raw option in a future update but nothing of yet
