Hi guys. So it looks like official sample footage of the Mavo S35 mark 2 have been released. Link to footage here: www.kinefinity.com/en/shot-on-mavo-mark2-s35-case/
Thanks bro, this camera is new to me, love the opportunity to get closer to ari look on affordable budget for indie filmmakers so I hear and share your excitement man, thanks and keep up.
Kinefinity will be a great option when RED's patent for compressed Raw for video expires. It will be a great time for cameras from other manufacturers. I have seen that the design and characteristics of this brand is very good.
Have been searching about the market of Cinecameras such as Panasonic EVO, Panasonic Vericam, Sony Venice, Sony Venice 2, Arri Alexa, Arri LF, Red Raptor, Red Raptor XL, Red Komodo, Canon C-line, Sony FX line, Z-CAM and Blackmagic URSA. Can we make a video explaining the use and market of the Cinema cameras. What is high end, medium end and low end? How the mirrorless cameras fit in the Cinema world? Are Canon C-line and Sony FX-line low end? Which mirrorless brand has the best video ecosystem right now? Which mount do you think is the best to invest regarding video? Canon RF, Nikon Z, Sony E or L-mount? What is the future of the m43?
@@christopherduran9926 it all depends. There’s argument for other cameras like the ursa 12k or the Canon C70 or the Komodo. It all depends on the persons needs. There’s no “s35 camera to beat” at this time imo.
Thanks for this very informative content . What's your feeling beetween Mavo LF vs Zcam F pro : overall image quality, color science, ergonomics, Q/P ratio ?
@@JamesJacksonFilmz I haven’t find anything on the topic on RUclips and it would be very interesting to discover a little bit more these two cheap alternative to Red. An idea for a future video. ? :)
My favorite color science outside of arri. I hiep they become more aggressive pushing into the space with marketing and getting cameras into the hands of influences that can really show them off. Over the years this is the one area they seems to consistently hold back. If you want to be a household name, people have to see you and your product. They fly too under the radar. BTW, Sean Conley is good people 👍🏽
Yeah. When I spoke to them at NAB, they weren’t too keen about giving demo products out to be honest. I am hoping I can get my hands on one for a upcoming project
Good question. Almost majority of all camera manufacturers use Sony sensors. There’s only a few like Arri, RED, and Canon that actually build their own sensors.

Appreciate that man
Can't wait till it's released and binge watch some reviews on it. Really looking forward for the S35 Mark II
I was not interested in Kinefinity anymore but you just got me to look at the prices.
Pretty impressive lineup.
A while ago I waaaaaaas excited about them but the prices weren’t that much smaller than other comparable cameras. I’ll take a look at them again.

Great video! I didn't know about the shifting dynamic range highlights
Yeah that was one of the key things when the original LF was released that made me start eyeing Kinefinity

Sounds like great content to do Angelo. Definitely going to try to make time
@@JamesJacksonFilmz You can one 10 minute clip about every brand, such you have done today.
Yep. im sold. Also, what's the s35 sensor size? 1.5 or 1.3?
Yo thanks for stopping by man. Love your content. And the crop factor is 1.5x.
I mean, this is the s35 *budget* cine camera to beat now right?
Also, how much would you budget for the most basic setup for the s35 mkii? Thanks man!

@@christopherduran9926 the basic set up I would budget $7,000-7,200 depending on the mount and adapters you want to use

Haven’t used either cameras. Only the kinefinity Mavo edge 6K have I used.

Nikon Z9 shoots 12bit NRAW downsampled 4k and 8.3k upto 60fps.
This sounds like a really great option in the cinema space.
Cheers much 😊❤
Looks pretty impressive! Nice analysis :)
Thank you
There is a new codec introduced a year ago called Prores 4444HE with 50% reduction in data rates compared to prores 4444.
Yes! While preserving roughly the same latitude performance.
The MAVO S35 Mark 2 is shipping on June 5th
Watched this twice
Thanks man
I'm curious does kinfinity has the same sensor as Sony?
Good question. Almost majority of all camera manufacturers use Sony sensors. There’s only a few like Arri, RED, and Canon that actually build their own sensors.
@@JamesJacksonFilmz oh I didn't know that, thanks!
Does it have auto focus
No it does not
It’s a cinema camera-draw your own conclusion.
mft mount?
No MfT mount, Kinemount, Active E mount and Active PL. Kinemount can adapt to EF, PL, LPL and E
Unless you can handle the weight, you can buy Alexa XT with the same price
Very true but if you’re looking for higher resolutions and frame rates, the kinefinity is the way to go.
