In my opinion, fontaine is the best nation. The underwater exploration is beautiful. Its not repetitive and there is not too much water. I expected the place to just be covered with water but there is a decent amount of onland exploration. Exploring it is also very relaxing compared to sumeru. Sumeru is my least favourite nation so it kinda makes up for sumerus faults. I also enjoyed the story, its very different but is still enjoyable. The characters are also great.

Liyue is my favorite nation, i love the mountains, and I kind of like that there are minimal to no caves outside of the chasm, it feels like the terrain saying "You need not head underground to see all the wonders A cave may present you" and it feels very open and honest as i think geo characters mostly are, I like the weird mechanics of the mountain bird statues, I like how the mountains have a unique shape compared to any nation other than Liyue, I love the architecture and i love the color pallet, i love the characters too, Zhongli is hands down one of my favorite archons, like every archon other than Nahida and Zhongli feels very irresponsible, for one reason or another, venti only interferes every once in a great blue moon, and leaves his people to be enslaved or ruled over by human tyrants a few times in the stories history. Raiden is irresponsible in that she is essentially throwing a boomer tantrum of "i never want anything to change, i only want things to stay the same". Furina is self-explained, she might not even be the real archon, or she could be, but there are two, and only one held any power for the majority of Fontaine's history, but she's a brat essentially.
Nahida i think is the youngest archon and she's by far one of the most responsible now that she's out of the bubble
you might think Zhongli is shirking his responsibility, but he's realising that for his nation to grow, and evolve to fit the world as it's going to be, the people need to be able to lead themselves, not an old god with his prime behind him, he realizes that while he might be able to watch over his people, he needs to let them shape their future as they see fit, and i admire him for that

I agree with everything besides the caves, but I said that in the video. There should be an expansion in 4.2, so that shouldn't matter anyway lol. I love everything else you've said though, and I honestly forgot that part of Zhongli. Have a good day

Liyue is my favorite nation and perfectly fits in, imo. Monstat is the tutorial area, its easy and introduces mechanics, and liyue is the follow up that gently encourages players to explore and challenge more difficult and a wider variety of foe. I myself am what you could consider a timid player. Until i know what i'm doing, i am very reserved in my explorations, challenging enemies, and even participating in the story much. Monstat was the place i learnt the mechanics, but liyue was the place i learnt to branch out, where i learnt to truly enjoy the game.

while yes, caves would be more logical, it also would've felt too overwhelming for the area that follows up the tutorial area.

@@totally_professional_artis9778 I can't exactly remember fully what my initial thoughts were on the game, but I'm sure whatever they were, this was along the lines of it. Very nice comment

I actually loved Liyue when you first entered it by running from Mondstadt in between mountains, and I think they wonderfully recaptured that feeling when they introduced Fontaine by making you come out of a tunnel. I didn't get that in Inazuma because of a cutscene so I didn't get to enter on my own, and Sumeru made you just feel lost in a rainforest. I may be biased but I do prefer the fantasy elements of nature over steampunk or sci-fi environments. That's why I see Liyue as being the first to integrate more unrealistic fantasy-like environments like floating pillars of rocks in the clouds or a flying chamber, which lead the way to the static lighting storm in Inazuma, the sandstorm in Sumeru, and now the floating blocks of water in Fontaine. Liyue gave us a taste of an environment that feels realistic even though magical components exist in this world. I want to see a living and fantastical definition of escapism, not boring white marble buildings. And lastly, there's a sense of familial connection between the Knights of Favonius with its people, and the people of Liyue with their Adepti. However, I do blame the storywriting department for being weaker back then since it never felt like any scary consequences would occur so the people were so relaxed. The people are not at war with themselves like Inazuma, underwritten characters in Sumeru (although its archon quest did show a lot of teamwork), while Fontaine characters are still separated by their identity and pasts. We got to see the Knights hold a party together for Jean and Liyue hosting yearly gatherings between friends and seeing all of them interact. So this makes me wish for more events where characters from other nations interact, even within themselves, but no we got an anniversary event that only included Mondstadt and Liyue, we get it, y'all are best of friends lol.

When I opened this video and saw it has only a few likes and views, I didn't expect it to be high-quality content with huge fucking in-depth analysis of the whole region and reasons behind its mechanics, story and landscape. I love it

I also can`t stand it that other nations as Sumeru and Fontaine has more caverns, tunels and levels of map in whole then Liyue, the lend of Geo, where logically (at least imo) should be all this things.
