I love your long documentary videos. They're perfect to listen to while I work. I listened to this one, the n64 one and the birthday one. Excellent work.
Thanks! It makes my day to know people like the same things I like. Check out the “Full episode” playlist on the channel for more stuff that I haven’t yet turned into more clean cut documentaries if you’re looking for more. Plenty of more to come, just wish I could have more time to do it all!
I always ALWAYS ask if my waiter or waitress is vaccinated. THAT will decide if they get a tip or not. If they ARE VACCINATED... NO TIP. If they are NOT VACCINATED... I give them at least 5%
I saw that and looked into it when doing this video. In all of my research there was no solid evidence proving that Patrick McDonald ran anything. Especially when it was only the brothers who moved to California while their father stayed and retired in New Hampshire
@@IndustrialIndustriesWorldRadio Yeah, I couldn't understand that, because there's an interview with Dick McDonald when he was older and he didn't say anything about that supposed food stand. I'm still trying to sort out what all was shown in that movie "The Founder" was accurate or not...gets a little complicated.
@@braumenheimer9607 yeah for sure. I think Wikipedia picks things from other websites that aren’t exactly vetted for accuracy and compiles it into a timeline. Then when someone reads the wiki they’re confused as to what is what. I’m working on the history of the shamrock shake now and according to Wikipedia it’s “Rogers merchandising” that created the shake in 1970. When in fact it was Hal Rosen who created it in 1966-67. I guess it’s that old saying, “don’t believe everything you read” With that being said I made sure to fact check and find evidence before I decide to throw it in my videos. If I don’t know something that’s 100% accurate, I will exclude the info or I will discuss the theories.
i wonder what would've happened if the mcdonald brothers never met ray kroc. would they have sold it to someone else who could've turned it big? or would it be a regional fixture like in n out ?or still be the best darn fast food place of san bernardino?
I wondered that too but came to the conclusion that the McDonald brothers, seeing that neither of them had children of their own, wouldn’t of passed the business on down and would have just retired like they wound up doing after selling the Big M location in San Bernardino after Kroc bought McDonald’s. I feel if it wasn’t for Ray Kroc, McDonald’s would have lasted possibly into the late 60’s at most and then shut their doors. The founders of Taco Bell and Burger King stopped by the original McDonald’s before Kroc and used the process McDonald’s created, but didn’t think to literally buy McDonald’s like Kroc did.
@@cosmeticscameo8277 I’ve heard that too, but they eventually sold the Big M to someone else and then a few years later the new owners closed up. Really sad

On Wikipedia it says that Patrick McDonald ran a food stand in Los Angeles in 1937...is that true?

Wikipedia is good for some things, but others ehhh, lots of misinformation

@@IndustrialIndustriesWorldRadio i did read somewhere that the brothers did plan on leaving the store to the original employees... how nice of them.

@@IndustrialIndustriesWorldRadio all because ray wanted to get rid of the brothers. sad.
17 years
When they first started off in California they were just a couple of flunkies, let's be honest about it.
This video made me want to eat
Right❤❤❤
They were from a Scottish family. According to some other sources
Yeah, that’s very likely too.
Nope, their parents were Irish immigrants
