How a Boy Who's "Never Made a Sub" Invented Subway
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 22 май 2024
- Subway is the biggest fast-food chain on the planet. The chain knocked down McDonald’s and KFC’s store count decades ago and has more than 44,000 stores in 110 countries. And it all started with a 17-year-old from the Bronx who had never made a sub in his life until opening day. He struggled for years before finding a way to make billions of dollars. And it’s all because of a message scribbled in a notebook.

The original locations were so much tastier than todays Subway they all had that iconic wall paper of a map of the nyc subway tunnels. As a kid my Grandparents lived in a town that had one of the earliest Subway locations (first 30-50 I believe) in Winsted, Connecticut....it's not there anymore though, but I remember even in the 90s thinking it looked really old school
The first time that I had ever seen a Subway's was in the 90's but I thought it was a place that sold model subway train's.
Omg! I grew up in a Winsted, CT and worked at that one as a teen, and the one on East Main in Torrington. Small world! I Miss CT so much.

Wow i had no idea Amato's was linked to the early start of Subway. I've eaten at that original Amato's store in Portland ME many times and their subs are awesome.
Subway was made when he was waiting for the train and his sandwich accidentally slipped and fell of to the train tracks. He couldn’t get his sandwich since the train was on its way. Finally, as he was sitting by the widow thinking about his lost sandwich, he decided to make a business called subway.
Basically subway in a nutshell XD
