Cyclops is a decent enough character, he just gets a bad wrap because he's not written very well in most media. His & Wolverine's rivalry is usually played up to be solely antagonistic. The bad Singer-Verse X-movies made it even worse, when Cyke was stated to be a "dick", In actuality, Wolverine's always been the "dick".

as a very young boy, I learned to read with DC comics. When i was 8 i picked up my VERY FIRST marvel comic. It was X-Men 59, Neal Adams art hooked me. and my favorite xman was and has always been Cyclops

He's my favorite X-Man...but Marvel made him an awful character from a poor and confusing explanation of his optic blast, his chaotic relationships and underrated leadership skills.
This may be old by now but I just wanted to let you know that I l o v e d this episode. Scott is by far my favourite X-Man and one of my favourite heroes in general, and I love the passion and appreciation that you two clearly have for him
Thank you so much for covering Cyclops he is honestly the greatest X Men in my opinion I love that he is just always there with the X Menthrough thick and thin he has lead them at their best and at the edge of literal extinction hated what the did to him making him to be a "terrorist".

It's refreshing to see Slim Summers get so much love. I never cared much for him as a kid, but grew to love the tragedy that is Cyclops when I got older.
He really is a tragic character. Especially if you consider just how psychologically damaged he was by the end of it all and how the only time he tried to get therapy, he was taken advantage of.
Marvel now owned by disney marvel as it stands now needs to give this man some respect and do a movie or show about cyclops to show this younger generation and the casual fans whos the goat.
Man The Original X-Factor by Louise Simonson is amazing, its a little surprising that Marvel never hires more writers who belong to minorities for X-Men. Due to my personal experiences as an immigrant of color who also belongs to a religious minority I connect with the X-Men on a personal level and Im surprised Marvel doesn't hire more writers with diverse backgrounds and experiences for the X-Men. X-Men are all about the experiences that Minorities go through and how they feel about them; it honestly makes sense to start including more writers with diverse backgrounds to try and relate their own experiences in a book thats about exactly that.

I never considered the x face version of Cyclops the real Cyclops when the blue and gold costume changed the real Cyclops died then. Not the horrible rewritten character .

I really wish the images on the video actually matched up with what you were talking about. Why show pictures of the sentinels and Apocalypse while you are talking about Phoenix saga? really lazy editing. i really like the audio though, really fun history lesson, thanks!

So just skip all over the important parts that made Cyclops great during AvX... way to do the character justice. This arc made me love him more than anything.. kinda sucks you skipped over it in 20 seconds.. especially the Cyclops in prison part

Meh. This cyclop is the future cyclop who died right? So....... there's hope. Why cyclop so fucked up urgh. I think what marvel trying to do now is....... well to fucked up the future timeline than throw all the past back in place, than next is to retell the story of the new future. MEh.
Im pretty sure Mr. Sinister was only a horseman of Apocalypse during A.O.A. And otherwise has never had any affiliation with him.
I actually understand the little thing of a child with a lot of middle names from a father with none. My dad has no middle name, and also a first name that is, traditionally, a shortening of a longer name. The reason for that is his father worked in transport and shipping in World War 2 and had to sign a lot of papers and had to write out his full name a lot and got sick of how long his name was, so his children had short names. Meanwhile my dad had three children who go middle names, with one of my brothers getting two middle names.
Now that I think about it, that makes me wonder if Corsair or his wife had a grudge against long names so gave Scott no middle name, and does Alex Summers also have no middle name?
I have heard that besides optic blast and spatial awarness he has also a very strong nec. I know it sounds ridiculous but i think it is right (if you want more details search for top ten superheroes with hiden powers)
