Looking forward to that one last studio album next year. Man what memories with these guys, though I never did get to see them live. I did have the honor and pleasure of speaking to Chris Caffery and Al Pitrelli on the phone in 1998 when I called into a college radio metal show that I listened to regularly; the DJ was a massive Savatage fan and had them in as guests. 'The Wake of Magellan' had just come out. Only talked a few minutes but they were extremely cool and gracious. It was a spur of the moment call; I got through to the station and didn't think to tape it!
Savatage is a fenomenal band. The wake of megellan a masterpies album. John Oliva my favorit songwritter! RIP Chris Oliva! Thank you the great albums and songs!❤
I have an early Savatage press kit with a photo that has an unusual band logo. Savatage is in a rectangle with a point on top and a small diamond pushing up the bottom. The Par Records info sheet talks about the upcoming album "Sirens".
Thanks for sharing this, I love it! First time hearing "Do You Want Me Now", thats a great track, it should've been on an album. If Jon released all these unteleased pieces of music I'd buy every one. I don't care if they were only 30 second clips, I can never get enough of Criss era Savatage.

Great stuff! thanks for sharing....of the two above, I like The Dungeons are Calling Again (I remember Chris Caffery posting this on his facebook, singing along to the tentative track....it sounded FANTASTIC! ) Long live Savatage and the Mountain King. \m/
I can remember when I found a compilation that had included The Dungeons Are Calling on with a buncha others; most of really never went anywhere else. but the 6 song Ep The Dungeons Are Calling have always had a special place in my heart ❤️ I was on the road for our 4th Lp driving through Atlanta meeting alongside Hallow’s Eve and Parabellum ( pre-Acid Bath) and I heard about his passing. Very excited for a Savatage album! It will be interesting to hear the direction they take considering the loss of Paul 😢 Hopefully they had some ideas or arrangements that he have been involved with. Either way, I have I know these guys will knock it out of the park!
@@alyssahudson1743 my point exactly. The loss of an integral part of any band (especially Paul) can make a huge difference. For example, Terry Kath, Clifford Burton etc...
Great Catch!, . . . but no. Gene Simmons notoriously of the band KISS was afluent in the Tampa Bay music scene during the 80's playing on stage with bands like ROXX GANG and others. Tampa Bay was the music mecca back then Jack Douglas famed producer of CHEAP TRICK was also a local favorite signing local bands to EPIC RECORDS like the STRANGER BAND, to this day ROBIN ZANDER lead singer of CHEAP TRICK still sits in from time to time on GREG BILLINGS (lead singer for STRANGER) live sets. Another local staple that sits in and sings with GREG is BRIAN JOHNSON lead singer for AC\DC, so ya a lot of the local talent was writing or collaborating around these great national talents, you will notice on side B there is an AVATAR tune that sounds eeriely similar to a famous CHEAP TRICK song, let me know when you figure it out and thanx always for listening to my you tube channel it means a lot to me that this era of music never be forgotten! Cheers!!!
of course as recorded on tape that had an actual reggae song on it before being recorded over on the same tape by the affore mentioned song in 4 parts, Rock Duck split up those parts to enrich the fuller ambient sound of the album, other wise they were all played back to back over a previously recorded over session.

fantastic !!
If you need to have a vocal of someone saying "rock duck" in the video how about saying it in between songs instead of over them?
NICE 👍😎🤘
