This is awesome. I had a bunch of these demos on an old.bootleg from years ago, but not all of them. It's just a shame that there doesn’t seem to be a version of Desiree with Jon on vocals. It'd be interesting to gear hoe it originally sounded. Regardless, thank you for this. It's awesome to hear the full thing.

Thank you, brother. This is great. About 20 years ago Paul was on PBS helping a fundraiser and giving tso tickets for donations. I was a single dad in between jobs but called just to let Paul know how much Savatage and TSO meant to me. They put him on the phone and we talked music for 15 minutes. I apologized I couldn't donate at the time and he was just happy to bs with me lol. Anyway, he sent me 2 very close floor seats to TSO in Cleveland and it was absolutely magical. R. I. P. Paul and Criss🤘

Band is Legendary!

Definitely nice to hear these songs put together in the proper order so we can get the context. A lot of times songs in AOR are kinda written to go in sequence so when I hear songs like "Stay" as a stand alone track, while it is a good song, I don't perceive it as a song that really fits with the Savatage sound I am used to. It flows perfectly into "If I Go Away" and then it is like "this song is actually pretty genius and shows how much they could try different things and still maintain continuity of the theme.

To me the Streets album is the real prelude to TSO

The use of Wagnerian leitmotifs was brilliantly utilized here, especially how the piano is seemingly the voice of the ocean, narrating, speaking and answering throughout the story. And the brilliant word play on "wake", which can have a funereal meaning, a wake caused by a ships path through water or to be roused from slumber. Thanks again for the great videos!

Thank you OP, it did my heart good to see & hear Paul again. I had the pleasure of meeting him after a TSO show (Oakland, CA). I will never forget his kindness and generosity that night. Not only was he giving away tour merch, but he was also handing out HUGE wads of cash. The world needs more people like him.

Glad I saved Savatage for later in life. Criss was an underrated virtuoso taken too soon. Funny how the Industry has a pattern of that. Amazing in every way.
