I've had this song on loop for the past day now, Lydia is so so so good with her lyrics and I adore her adaptions of Disney princesses as villains, makes me want Disney to make twisted movies where the princesses turn into villains
I wouldn't think for them to make completely new movies for that. hiring Lydia to be the Brain stormer and lyric writer and can't forget singer for atleast most of these possibly creatable Alternate stories to make the already existing Disney princesses become villains in an actual full film and to start with one that makes waaaaaaaay too much sense ENCANTO WITH THE MIRABEL IS A VILLAIN TWIST... after all... LYDIA ALREADY HAS ATLEAST ONE SONG FOR IT.
I would suggest reading the description for info on the storyline leading up to the song.
It's not that Anna inherited any ice powers genetically. Its kinda like how some people irl inherit things from their Mom or Dad that their siblings didn't.
No in this story instead of Elsa's powers freezing her solid instead froze pieces of her soul and emotions were slowly fizzling out of her with every betrayal or hardship.
So when Hanz tried to kill her it finally killed the last piece of Anna. Leaving her with nothing but ice and cold. Fueled by the trauma of Anna's past she become a Villain against her will.
The ice magic in her heart didn’t kill her but instead responded to dark emotions when she was given the final push and did something else it saved her and gave powers the more negative and darker her emotions grew the more stronger her new ice powers grew
It seems the ice power affected Anna’s hair her eyes making them glow her skin color her hair was turned white completely

You are right about that, but thing is both of there powers came from the same place so there powers are equal the difference is Elsa haven't accept her powers as her own and still fears it but Anna accepted hers like she has it for years and fueled by hatred and loneliness so that is why Anna wins

Anna’s powers came from Elsa after she accidentally hit her with a ice blast and they didn’t manifest until that final push so no Anna didn’t get her powers from the same place as Elsa

I watched the entire film so I’m going by how the story began and based on my understanding
This was a good villainous take on the song.
Here’s my understanding
What if the fragment of Else’s ice power and the negative emotions Anna had combined together to give Anna powers instead of freezing her body
Allowing her to develop her own powers
The final push Anna giving into her negative emotions and the ice magic from Elsa that is inside Anna is responding to her negative and dark emotions
Magic and emotions is interesting and dangerous and unpredictable
Elsa has nothing to do with turning Annna’s heart since she was outside so that doesn’t make sense
Anna became cold hearted from the final push buddy now
Now Get
A person has no control over the consequences of what there magic can do or the spell can do
Magic is unpredictable

Wow. Anna and Megara would both make excellent villains. Just imagine if they cross paths are worked together. But in my opinion, Mirabel had the most potential to going from hero to villain. This also reminds me of the FanScription of "What If Anna Was The Villain in Frozen?"
It's sad because how I view it is Anna doesn't have any idea what Elsa was going through and end up becoming what Elsa was, and shut her own sister out in this song. She ended up being the one to shut out Elsa after all those times she was shut out, hence the "Do you wanna build a snowman" reference.

Disney needs to take a risk and do a true, hero to villain story. No happy ending, no redemption, end with the world on fire and the main character standing on top. And get lydia to write the music and story.

It seems that everything is because of their mother, who hails from the forest. So yes, why not? Anna is also Iduna's daughter, as is Elsa.

By the way, if Elsa didn't have magic, then her hair and eyes would be the usual color similar to Anna's. That's why I like how Anna's eyes are filled with the cold color of ice and her hair turns white.

There's a song kind of similar to this that was supposed to be in I believe the first movie that the Frozen production cut out from the movie It's called life's too Short where Elsa and Anna sing about their differences and actually grow apart I think you might really enjoy that check it out please!!!
I've been listening to these villain songs a bunch lately, been awesome seeing them get some recognition! Meg's is amazing, possibly my favorite of them all. Mulan's is pretty fun too.

Did y'all notice the blue underneath Anna's eyes towards the end, implying frozen tears? The detail on these videos is SO freaking good
A cool thing I noticed is look between the 2 Elsa is all Powder snow/pretty the prettiness of Winter… while Anna hers is all Jagged and Sycles just the Cold harsh of winter… I think that’s a cool detail they did

If you've watched frozen and read the description for this scenario then you'd actually find the entire story in the song quite tragic. Two traumatized sisters one who shut herself away in fear and anxiety who not only shunned her own power but willingly shut the only person who could have understood her out of her life. And a younger sister who wanted nothing more than to be there for her older sister and for her to be there for her too.
In the world of the villain song when Elsa shot Anna in the heart with her ice, she wound up freezing Anna's heart. Thus all her bitterness and such and all her feelings of trying to be in her sisters life and only being rejected kinda just...took over.
Elsa lost not just because it was Anna, but because while Anna embraced the magic her frozen heart gave her, Elsa had rejected her gift since the first time she accidentally hurt Anna with them as children. And that rejection and anxiety over her inability to control her powers messed her up.
It really all could have been avoided if they had just been there for each other

I love this one espessialy since it makes Anna the snowqueen from the actual fairytale they wanted elsa to be before they changed elsa to a hero instead. the snowqueen with an heart of ice cold demenor and everything Lydia even refrenced the devils mirror with the whole Annas heart breaking and Elsa seeing it in her eyes. because the devils mirror splittered and anyone getting a piece of it in their eyes because cold and emotionless even mean. so here its literally instead of Anna becoming a icesculpture her heart froze over we know from frozen 2 that elsa is just the snow elemental or something.

honestly it makes me wonder whats going to happen when christoph gets back cuz we know he's running back to see her in the original movie so did he witness all that? could he get through to her? would it be too late?
I think the big difference is that Elsas power came from fear that she couldn't control but Ana's hate is fully controlled. Hence more powerfull. I totally find this version logical since Ana always was in Elsas shadow and had to follow her
