    Worst thing about using Auto Glym. When you open the stupid cap and polish splatters all over the place. You'd think they would have changed the design by now.

    Im a mobile detailer.
    My work van other than when it rains, was washed around 4 years ago.
    I dont care what my van looks like, my customers dont care what my van looks like.
    My customers care what their vehicle looks like after Ive finished.
    Im very allergic to SRP. If I get a splash on my skin I get a red sore patch. If I forget gloves or get a hole in one... My skin gets red, sore, dries and cracks open.
    Only happens when I use SRP... So I choose not to use it regardless.

    Good side-by-side demo there Dave. I have a feeling that SRP looks better due to it's fillers and wax. It would be interesting to see both panels after a few goes with high PH shampoo and panel wipe. Always a little sceptical, me 😎

    Very good video Dave... I think the majority of us used SRP and some point yet I think from a lot of people (not all!!) there's an attitude of brand snobbery towards it now... But for hand application, and particularly for beginners, it's a very good product to use and very safe! Personally, I think we should be encouraging the next generation to start off with the same types of products! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

      SRP hasn't got any abrasive properties at all, it's a fantastic product which uses resin filler to level the clear coat and hence makes them swirls and light scratches disappear, but after some washes it will show again. So for regular care SRP is great hides any marks without the need to machine compound, but if you want the scratches etc gone for good you must compound first then SRP it from then onwards which what I do. Srp hand applied is so easy wipe on in circular motion (no need to work it in like crazy cos it's not going anywhere once its spread evenly) let dry to a haze and buff off. Don't do it the sun it's really hard to get it off if baked on. Lol ask me how I know. Bicep was pumped though haha

    • @curse6of6me6
      @curse6of6me6 5 месяцев назад

      Then a few washes later any marring and haze from using a compound will resurface.... Because srp is full of fillers hence why it gives such a good result.

    Dave great video again. How does the Megs SR compare to its own Ultimate Compound? Or is it essentially the same product. Srp is always a great starter polish as you've said and always one to have in the tool box. You can see why AG don't recommend it on a machine polisher after that test though.

    • @DetailingandtheBeast
      @DetailingandtheBeast  4 года назад +2

      Probably just because of it being fast drying on the machine. It wouldnt be difficult for them to reformulate SRP, into say " SRP - machine edition" - full of good ideas!
      As for Megs. I do have ultimate compound, I'd say I find that more aggressive than both of these. It's a good product by machine.
