Nice one!.

SRP is always my go-to product whenever I have to work on white paintwork, or to clean up door jambs. A few years ago I used SRP on 3 of our work vans (they were leased and white), they came out so good the paint looked as if they had been resprayed. The leasing company saw how we had transformed their vans when we sent them in for routine servicing, a couple months later they offered us a cracking deal on refreshing our entire fleet with brand spanking new vans. Brilliant product, this.
Haters are gonna hate on this because it's not a "scene" product or enthusiasts choice but it's a solid performer for improving the look of your paint. You demonstrated that perfectly in this video lads! I will admit that I'd rather use my machine polisher these days just out of laziness but SRP can be used by machine too which just speeds up the process.
my DA has been out of action for a while and I haven't bothered getting it fixed. but this weekend I really wanted to give the car a polish. I'd long given all my hand polishes away to friends and was about to buy a bottle of something to use when right at the back of the cupboard popped out a 10 year old bottle of SRP! needed a jolly good shake but did the job well! can't remember how long is good to leave to cure but it was a hot one this morning and I barely left it on a minute or 2 before wiping away as the swipe test seemed to suggest it was ready to go. pleased with the result. I'll admit to becoming a detailing snob (not proud of it) but I've come full circle now, a lot of these AG products are still around because they just work well. plus I honestly couldn't be bothered doing a full decontamination and clay etc, with a few young kids and moaning wife i just wanted a bit of shine on the motor, lovely jubbly 😁
I am from Canada and picked up Autoglym from Canadian tire. Over the years my go to polish wax and clay bar kit have all been from this line. Great product. Underated over here. It’s a must for anyone wanted to take there car up the next level for car care.
I've spent a fortune on various polishes over the years but always come back to SRP. It just works, simple as that. The bottom line is 99% of cars have some form of paint defect in terms of swirl marks. To get these out professionally they will require a machine polish, however no matter how good your wash technique is whether it's a two-bucket wash method, etc. swirls will always come back. SRP is a good filler but also gives a superb shine as shown in this video. It's easy to apply and remove. For best results polish the car in the shade.
Bit daft question but does this sort of thing have any downsides? In terms of taking away any qualities from the paint/ wearing paint down after so many polishes Cheers

SRP is very easy to use, BUT it requires time and patience if your car paint is scruffy. Ian from the HubNut channel once used SRP followed by ValetPro Beading Marvellous to attempt to put the shine back on his old red Skoda Favorit Estate. The thinking was there, but the end result was very blotchy, due to no time spent on preparation which was most important.
Should you then wax the car after? I bought this today to wash tomorrow after being quoted £450 for a “correction” thought this kit for £20 wouldn’t harm and great if I get the results I’m looking for.
A correction will remove all or most of the damage you see here. This will hide it. It would definitely benefit from a wax or sealant. Something like Autoglym's extra gloss protection would be suitable after unless you've got some wax already to use.
@@TranquilityBaseDetailing thanks for the reply. Reason I thought I’d need correction is due to swirling of the clear coat on a car I purchased in December, thankfully my car is not in this condition. If I do decide to go for a full correction do you recommend anywhere / company?
My used car came "polished", more like scratched and I think they used this. I have heard it just fills slight scratches which I noticed on my car after one non contact wash. Still not sure.
It does fill them. Likely your used car was prepared with a "glaze" which is designed only to fill scratches. They wash out very quickly but do give the paint a nice shine when freshly applied.
Yes I thought that. I noticed spider web scratches most probably from bad wash techniques. I am using a da polisher and some light cutting compound followed up by polish and then a ceramic (loosely called) wax by Mequiars. I have hand corrected issues in the past and when I collected the car the salesman said " I had your car polished" to which I thought Ahhhhhhh NOOOOOOO.
@@RBcymru I hate when they do that. When I had some respray work a few years back I had them take notes not to wash the car. Came to pick it up and found some junior drying it with a rubber blade. Same response as you NOOOOOOOO!!!
I got a used black A4 Avant in March and now that the suns come out all the scratches and imperfections from the previous owner are becoming very visible! I’ve generally just had my cars valeted so new to this but Could I use this to fix the scratches etc and then follow up with a carnauba wax? Or anything similar?
Now I'm not entirely sure if I'm right or you are however I am a big believer in if it works for you it's not wrong. So let's just say we're both right😂
With that ideally i would put a wax on top or a sealant as after 1 or 2 washes its removed. All in all it does do a great job. Keep the video's coming 💪
We did contemplate doing SRP vs Ultimate Polish from Megs, seeing as both are available off the shelves in Halfords, but a stand alone video for SRP won on the day. Definitely something I'd like to revist though
@@mv2000100 almost every brand will have a product you could make good argument for including. I like the idea of including Tripple in the mix though. A halfords 3 way
It would be interesting to have a panel just washed, a panel with SRP only and then a panel with full correction. It would be interesting to see the progression and what is possible.
from a time when it was this................. or a pot of turtle wax paste wax.... was using this back in the early 80s..... like Brut 33, i used to slap this all over.................
Great video,… but this polish will never be used in a detail company because it contains fillers!! Fillers will give you the looks of a clean and proper vehicle but after washing your car 3-4 times all scratches are back. It will give a little abrasive thing to the paintwork but not more then that. However great product for at home 😉.
I know it’s not going to be the best finish ever, but take it from me this is really all you need. I did the detailing thing, it’s ridiculous spending 5+ hours cleaning, clay barring, polishing etc for the car to get dirty in next to no time the next day. If you’ve actually got a properly nice car like a rare classic or proper sports car, that’s tucked away in a garage under a cover than proper detailing is the right way forward. However most people have pretty ordinary cars such as Focus RS’s or Megan’s RS’s parked on drives, which are just glorified shopping trolleys, don’t waste your money and time. No one is going to inspect your car to such scrutiny to tell the difference. Do something more constructive. I’ve been there, don’t waste your time.
Hey fam, I hope that you and your loved ones are well. I would like to ask you the most important question ever asked: Who is Jesus? Not who is He to you. Rather, who is He really? Jesus is the Son of God, who came to the world as a man. He lived a perfect and sinless life . Even though He was perfect and sinless, on the cross of Calvary God wrathfully punished Him for the sins of the world. 3 days later He rose from death. Now He is seated at the right hand of God, ruling as King over Heaven and Earth. On the judgment day He will judge you, me and every human being that has ever lived. Those who believed in Him will enter eternal joy with Him, but those who did not believe in Jesus will be sent to eternal condemnation. So turn from your sins and believe in the Jesus. Believe and hope that you can be forgiven for all your sins because of His death and resurrection. He took your place in Hell, so that if you submit to Him as your Lord and God, you can be forgiven and take His place in heaven- you will be made sinless and perfect before the Holy Father. He'll also give you a new heart and mind that can love and obey Him. Jesus lives so that you can have true life and freedom, and most importantly so that you can have an eternally peaceful relationship with God. You are dead, and Jesus is your Hope of love. You can start seeking Him by reading The Bible. Start in Matthew, and try and read it through to The book of Revelation. Spend at least 15 minutes in a private place to read it. Read the Bible over and over again. The Creator of The universe, nature and all creation, has made Himself more clearly known through The Bible, as it is the only perfect, unchanging and authoritative revelation of God. You know there is an Almighty and Glorious God when you look at the universe and nature, but you can only know who He is by reading the Bible.
@@R1ckmister Whereabouts are you?
@@TranquilityBaseDetailing Bristol.
@@R1ckmister James at Ti22 in Chepstow. Look him up on RUclips. Man does fantastic work.
You can do exactly that. This won't fix the scratches only hide them but your plan is sound
Do I need to wax AFTER using this stuff to give a protective layer and all that? I’m quite new to this stuff so any help would be great
Yes I would definitely recommend topping it with a wax or sealant.
@@TranquilityBaseDetailing perfect! Thanks for the help
@@BenjaminEmm no worries. Any other questions bud please just ask👍
I applied it using the black side of the pad doh! But it came out well lol
Now I'm not entirely sure if I'm right or you are however I am a big believer in if it works for you it's not wrong. So let's just say we're both right😂
SRP is massively underrated! Also great video!
Thanks for the Video. Just one question: which cloth did you use in this video? Could you send me a amazon link maybe?
The red cloth is from Wo-wo. I think they're out of stock currently though which is a shame as they're great cloths.
A must for an car enthusiast, a bottle of SRP should be a staple of everyone's kit
Definitely bud. How's things? Hope you're keeping well.
With that ideally i would put a wax on top or a sealant as after 1 or 2 washes its removed.
All in all it does do a great job.
Keep the video's coming 💪
The rate this car is washed it should last at least a year then 🤣
Yeah it doesn't stick around too long in my experience too. Definitely needs something to prolong it's effects over the top of it.
Add a nice covering of EGP to finish off 👌
Not tried that for a long time. Will have to give it a go.
and thats why they are still a big noise in car care...how about a comparison with other AIO polish prouducts?
We did contemplate doing SRP vs Ultimate Polish from Megs, seeing as both are available off the shelves in Halfords, but a stand alone video for SRP won on the day. Definitely something I'd like to revist though
Yeah Michael wanted to compare and I didn't for this video. Any you'd like to see it against in particular?
auto finesse triple, alien magic resurrection are on my shelf but there must be more..i like both but never compared back to back.
@@mv2000100 almost every brand will have a product you could make good argument for including. I like the idea of including Tripple in the mix though. A halfords 3 way
AUTOGLYM SRP 💯% - ALL DAY 💪🏼
Good video and idea. Was I the only cringing hearing the sound the pad mad applying the product through all the embedded rubbish.
Mate it felt awful under that foam. Doing our bit to keep things real world on this one though.😂
It would be interesting to have a panel just washed, a panel with SRP only and then a panel with full correction. It would be interesting to see the progression and what is possible.
@@craigrobertson7938 That's a great shout bud. Will definitely work on that video for the near future
Indeed. The finish would have been far better again if it had the much-needed clay bar treatment beforehand.
It was horrible to do Craig. It was like rubbing a sponge across sandpaper!
from a time when it was this................. or a pot of turtle wax paste wax....
was using this back in the early 80s.....
like Brut 33, i used to slap this all over.................
More of an Old Spice man myself 👍🤣
I remember those days getting it everywhere and having white trim marks and powder in the door jambs. Oh how we've moved on since 😂
@@TranquilityBaseDetailing not just me then?.... and the dusting , that dust was so clingy, no matter what you did
@@dave2166 Dust for days😂 can see they've improved on that over the years.
Its just a glaze with some abrasives an wax. It gives a nice shine tough.
We know. We just aimed to show that although it's a simple product it does a fantastic job.
That hurt hearing it sound like sand paper 🙈
😂
Autoglym products are terrible, rely on there brand name.
Each to their own I guess. What brands are your preferred ones bud?

@@jamesrichardson4604 hopefully they will develop a polish in the range which I agree is the mutts nuts
Hey fam, I hope that you and your loved ones are well. I would like to ask you the most important question ever asked:
Who is Jesus?

These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
I've read the Bible. Wasn't convinced.
@@TranquilityBaseDetailing hey fam, I hope that you are well.
Please tell me, what were you not convinced of?
@@carsanovadidrifto800 I wasn't convinced in the whole thing. I don't wish to be disrespectful but it's all nonsense. No sane person should be able to read it and come to the conclusion that it's a serious text. It's scientifically inept, morally horrendous and if you need the few remaining positives taught to you from it then you need your head wobbled.
Glad to discuss it further if you'd like my help in finding yourself a better path than the one you're on.
Bit over rated that book.
