Actually, there has been a problem with the latest bios update (BIOS 313) that massively reduces battery life and causes other issues. I suggest running battery tests on the previous BIOS 312 because people were getting close to 10 or 11 hours at that point in time. Here's to hoping BIOS 314 comes out soon...
I was just about to say this. Asus needs to improve the quality of their BIOS updates and if issues are found be prompt in fixing them. Reddit is full of posts about lower battery life on bios 313. If it's a driver issue, please release new drivers.
Since the bios update my fan makes a grinding sound while scrolling on certain apps. Any idea what this can be? Product is still under warranty, 1month old
I got the g14 2022 with 6800hs and 6800 GPU I love it but I worry its running too hot under gaming. At idle my unit sits around 50•, playing death stranding or far cry 5 it's in the mid 80s and touching 90s regularly. Is this unit really designed to run at those temps or should I be concerned? I've tried locking refresh rate to 60fps and lowering resolution but it's still in mid 80s.
I cannot afford the G14 2022 model but somehow I can buy the G14 2021 ryzen 7 model Now which one should I go for Zephyrus g14 or Lenovo IdeaPad gaming 3 or acer nitro 5 2022 model . Basically I want to visit all those skill sectors . As a computer science student I've talked with my seniors and they suggested me to achieve atleast one skill along with my graduation and master it . Hope you'll help me out 🙂
Overpriced like all other gaming laptops. For the price of the base model in india you can get the 6800s variant with Qhd screen and 6900hs cpu in usa. It's crazy to pay more for a worse product especially in a country with way lower income.
Third world countries (including middle east, africa and india) are not meant to enjoy their lives and as a matter of fact if that happens the first world countries will NOT live as good as nowadays
Should I get the blade 14 with a ryzen 9 6900HX 3070 ti or the Zephyrus g15 with a ryzen 9 6900HS 3070 ti? The razer is currently less because it's on sale so if price doesn't matter?
Bro. Don't spread misinformation. The best gaming laptops money can buy RIGHT NOW in 2022 are the ROG STRIX SCAR 17 SE, the MSI GE77 HX and the MSI Titan GT77. This G14 might be the best cost-benefit, I don't know. But it's definitely NOT the "best gaming laptop money can buy".
its the best overall as in its portable and looks decent as well. even LTT named it the best gaming laptop this year. Not everything is about performance.
@@yellowflash511 Then it might be the "best laptop" (although I completely disagree...), but not the "best GAMING laptop". That implies it'd be the best at GAMING, and it isn't. I've had countless laptops, since alienwares to not-gaming thinkpads and also desktops. No one needs a "portable" thin and light laptop unless they spend hours on a plane every week or travel A LOT on a daily basis. You can carry a 17-inch monster laptop just as much as you carry a 14 inch ultrabook. The only thing that really makes a difference is battery life... But then again, nobody that doesn't travel lots or that use it primarily for gaming really care about that... As long as it lasts for an entire class, for example. The factors that REALLY matter besides performance (which is the most important one, of course) are display quality, audio quality, ports and keyboard quality. The keyboard usually being the least important one.
@@guiT39 alright Mr. Genius Tech Reviewer, I guess all the reviewers out there are wrong alongwith the countless number of people who've bought it as well. Also good luck carrying around a 3-4kg 17 inch laptop just to get that 10 fps more 😂
hey the laptop is absolutly the beast but the price of this laptop is too much high rather than expections the price could have been betwween 124,000 (the base varient)
So they haven't fixed anything from the previous year's model. Temperatures are still very high. Performance is just slightly increased. Battery life is nice, that is a plus, but you could get a solid battery life from model from last year. If you are so interested in this laptop just buy previous year model. But even then, I wouldn't recommend it. I currently own one, and believe me, people should stop hyping this laptop.
bruh its 14inches every 14 inch laptop has high temps its just physics. and the performance is much better, 6700s is about 30% faster than the last gen highest model with 3060 this is proved by reviews.
I purchased the black coloured base variant with fhd+ display and am happy with my purchase.
For how much ?

BIOS 313 has now been removed by Asus from it's firmware update listing.
@@nareshkumar12 took their time, didn't they...
Have the same issue, linux gives me 10 hours of battery while windows runs out in less than 2 hours

Thx for nice review, just ordered my piece of G14
Thanks for the wonderful review! By the way, what do you think about the 6700s GPU, do you think it can match similar performance as the 6800s?
It can't match... The 6800S has about 20-30 watts of more power draw and hence more performance
@@mobiscrub Thanks for the reply. Can I ask one last question if you don't mind? Do you think it's worth getting the 6700s over the 6800s?
@@Jake-my5qt the difference isnt much 10-15% so i dont think its worth that much more maybe 10k more thats it
You have a nice voice - I can hear you clearly - often I struggle with asian accents. Have taken the plunge and ordered one :) :)

Yes all that is fairly normal, mid 80s is fine for CPU temperatures. You don’t really get into problems until your hitting 95+.
Try armory crate software nd manual fan curves and linit tdp for cpu and cpu+gpu
absolutely want this

g14 without a doubt, the others suck for your use case and are made of really cheap materials
hello! do you know when the zephyrus g14 2023 will come out next year? like at around what month?
This is the only review that states the g14 isn’t pushing 90+c temps while gaming

True man and the companies say we got no response from customers
That's because of import duties.
this is true for most pcs and laptops in developing countries. even a budget build is ridiculously out of reach for the average person in my country
Sounds more like an India problem
