Clear Elmer's glue and black acrylic paint for the lead - Put it in a squeeze bottle - Clear Elmer's glue and alcohol inks for the colors - Can be painted on - Much more cost-effective and you can get a variation in the transparency.
Elmer's glue dries clear. So I wonder if it's necessary to have clear glue. One lady used glue all. I'm not sure if it makes a difference. But yeah too expensive to buy those little tubes of paint.
I actually use black puff paint and then mix colored puff paint with clear elmer’s glue for the color. and use the clear glue on the clear for a textured effect, just use a spoon or your fingers to make the textured appearance. Super cheap and easy for the same effect.
Your *mess up* LOL was an inspiration for a project that I am doing! I do miniatures and was working on a tiffany style chandalier I had cut a clear Xmas bulb in half and wanted it to look stained glass. I painted a few colors on to piece of glass and when it dried I used a razer blade to lift colors. Just cut them to shape. I did use a permanent marker as the lead lines. And it worked!! thank you.
The first reveal tho 😮💨😂 I love her for this and the removal was great! Thanks for trying it out and showing the process! Very helpful! You could even use the mess up shavings for another craft for sure! Thanks again. Well done
Clever observation on the possible relationship between modpodge and gallery glass. Another video colorizing modpodge and then comparing it to gallery glass would be fun. Love the little hanger. Thanks for sharing your time, talent, knowledge and inspriation.
Ok, you are amazing for making the plant holders so soon after just learning this. These are awesome, and heck yeah you should be proud of yourself!! Great job! 🌿🌿🌿
Kudos to you for trying something new! I think you did beautifully on your soldering, I loved the project! You should see my attempts at cutting glass....omg. 😅
I’ve only tried straight cuts so far with a guide. We’ll see how it goes when I try some curved pieces 😬 all these stained glass artists make it look so easy
Girl you are so talented. I love that you aren’t afraid to try anything. You did an amazing job on it all. Can’t wait to see more stained glass projects. ❤❤❤
I love this idea! Looks like it would be so fun, too! I'm like you, love to learn new things to craft!! I think you did awesome for a 1st try. Ty for sharing.😊
I have always loved stained glass, but materials are so expensive. Lucky for me, there are false stained glass paints. Thank you so much for this amazing video! 💙🤍💛❤️💜💚🤎🖤
I love the stained-glass. Please send us more videos on it. I am very curious to try it myself. Especially the Mod Podge method. I think my favorite piece was the geometric glass vase.
Great job on these stained glass projects. So cool the different effects you were able to create. You make it look so easy and impressed with your soldering ability too!!
Super Cool & Exciting! Love learning new techniques! I have two half moon shaped windows, would love to put a stained glass effect on them. I will keep watching to learn more! Thank you for sharing your imagination and talent with us. Happy April to you! Evelynne from Columbus Ohio.
Vielen Dank
I've used acrylic paint to create a stained glass effect. Also, if you water to the acrylic paint to add the inside colors, it looks real bc you want like a watery, glassy-looking finish. You want to have a little paint gather along the inside of each aection you're filling in, too, bc it'll look more realistic afterward once it dries (flat), even if it's not as uniform as you'd want it to be if it were real stained glass. The acrylic sheets can be found in all kinds of things, too, such as in packs of stickers, sheets of gems, etc. You just want a thick, clear sheet, & wipe it down so it's clean.
Besides wearing a mask, when cutting and scoring the glass, wear goggles, or any type of eye protection & make sure that the room is ventilated when using a soldering iron, a window open is the best option when doing stain glass. Also, after 'leading' the glass, wash your hands very well, because of the potential of lead poisoning.
Gallery glass actually looks good when you have some parts that are sheer and some parts that are not it adds to the stained glass effect in my opinion
It seemed spendy to buy tubes of black "lead" faux paint. So I was glad I ran across someone using a glue mixture with acrylic paint. Then they funnel it into a squirt bottle with a skinny end 4 drawing.
This is 100% not mod podge colored, this can be peeled up if it's put on thick enough and used as like a decal, I've been working with the stuff for over 20 years, mod podge tends to get crackly instead of peeling off in a smooth sheet
Stained glasses typically not straight glass it's wavy textured glass, you're thinking the newer style but actual old style like Tiffany stained glass is textured and that's what gallery glass does

Love that! Thanks for sharing

Elmers glue doesn’t give it that realistic glossy effect. To each their own, I guess.
Was ist Alkohol Tinte? Hat die noch andere nahmen? Vielen Dank

Nice and very informative 👍
okay so buy the time you got to the bird you became some what like a pro :) love your tutorial 100%
Beautiful
Nice! I’ll try it!🩷
Really like it. Thanks
These turned out beautiful! How do you color modge podge? Give us more of these videos!!
I like to add food coloring to color the mod podge 🥰
Glass bird is beautiful
Very cool!!!
One thing I would add about the gallery glass is that if you leave it in the sun the colors will fade over time.
Oh that’s good to know, thank you!
What do use to seal the project?
?
Where did you get the picture to trace?

I’m glad you enjoyed it

It seemed spendy to buy tubes of black "lead" faux paint. So I was glad I ran across someone using a glue mixture with acrylic paint. Then they funnel it into a squirt bottle with a skinny end 4 drawing.
I guess it depends on how big your project is as to what you may be using. I still wanted to see what you came up with
cool

Gallery glass is too expensive :(
That’s why I suggested you can color mod podge as well I completely understand this product can get expensive
