    I thought you covered the little boat symbol at the top of your unit but I could not find it in a recent search. I really enjoy your videos.

    I wash mine, the same as the boat at the car wash, every time it goes to the lake. I thought I was going overkill. Guess not. Thanks for sharing! Always great content

    No doubt it matters. A friend of mine was complaining for months about unclear imaging, said it was just like a camera that wouldn't focus all the way & he thought the transducer may be going bad. I took it upon myself to clean the transducer while he was gathering stuff from inside his house before a crappie trip. As expected, it was filthy, even had dried clay/mud on it in spots. I keep ALL of my transducers clean, many people don't bother. I asked him several times before if he kept it cleaned off & he always said there was nothing on it. Anyway, once we're on the water & he's using livescope he's saying the clarity is back to normal & wondering what is different ... I let him go on & on about all the things he suspects "may be wrong" & finally tell him I cleaned the transducer because I wanted to fish without hearing him whine all day.

    Awesome info! I will start cleaning mine. I’ve thought about it before but was scared that I would possibly damage it. I’m scared to even touch it 😂 $$$

    Great tip. You still like the livefoot? Having a hard time determining if I want that or the all aboard marine mount. Love all your videos about livefoot. Seems solid.

    Great advice! I've got a couple for ya. NEVER clean plastic lenses with paper!! Also Never use a cleaner witn Amonnia!! It will ruin the surface over time. One more..forget boat scum cleaners on fiberglass...use Bar keepers friend...works like magic!

      Great tips! What cleaner would you recommend for cleaning the livescope transducer lenses?

    • @robfranke1
      @robfranke1 7 месяцев назад

      Any plastic or plexiglass you can use glass cleaner WITHOUT Amonnia. Use cloth rags when you can. Paper is like fine sandpaper over time. Always wondered why my strike king sunglasses would fog up over time...paper towls.

    Good idea, Randy and like you say, I bet few think to do this. How many times do we clean off the screen in the course of day of fishing. I bet nobody does it that often to their transducers. Also applicable for your DS/SS/2D transducers as well, I'd bet.
    I noticed you have a second LS transducer on your TM. Did I miss a video where you covered that? How do you use the two together?

    Doesn’t everyone wipe theirs down with detail spray when they wipe the boat down? Most of us have been doing it with our transducers for decades.
