Didn't have title games for a few years. Big 12 usually had 4 or more ranked teams out of 10. I could make reason for others. Last or so, gundy us on wins, wins against ranked opponents list. He took a team with zero five star players to the Natty going through teams such as Texas, USC, Utah, @ Michigan State, & Oregon twice. Now, he has the most five stars in CFB. It’s more of a predictive ranking for 2024 since he has an immense (the most) amount of talent now.

If Whittingham had the talent that Riley has had over the last 5-6 years how many Natty's would he have? More than Riley.

As a Clemson fan, Nick and Kirby are both in the same group in my opinion. They're both some of the greatest coaches of all time. Dan Lanning might join that group in the future though.

Riley is extremely overrated. He's got a good offensive mind, but to be considered a good coach, you NEED to understand not just the offense, but... believe it or not... the defense. If his teams at OU and USC had good defenses, he'd have multiple natties.

Riley does not believe in Defense. You can't out score them all. You have to have Talent first then Coach both sides of the ball. How long did Riley stick with a DC that could not coach up the talent. That there proves that Riley is not a top 10 coach. If Whittingham had the talent that Riley has had over the last 5-6 years how many Natty's would he have? More than Riley.
still got people saying that kirby and saban are just great recruiters but none of them can tell you what coaches are or were actually better than either.
As a Clemson fan, Nick and Kirby are both in the same group in my opinion. They're both some of the greatest coaches of all time. Dan Lanning might join that group in the future though.

It’s more than been proven that the majority of best teams don’t compete for championships every year during the BCS era. It was a business decision. All the teams in the championship games are blue blood large fan base teams. Utah beat Bama far more convincingly than Florida did in 08. In 08 Utah would have played Florida in the Championship game. Lincoln never did that. Actually Whit should have in 04. I get it you need clicks so you will be bias to large fan bases.

Riley is extremely overrated. He's got a good offensive mind, but to be considered a good coach, you NEED to understand not just the offense, but... believe it or not... the defense. If his teams at OU and USC had good defenses, he'd have multiple natties.

The thing about brian Kelly when people talk about his fit at lsu is that all his post season losses but the one loss against Georgia have been at Notre dame. Hopefully that’s due to the talent restrictions at Notre dame and that in the future he can bring something home

Drinkwitz and Lanning above DeBoer is just kooky talk. Lanning gets wrapped up in his head with "analytics" which has cost him games and Drinkwitz has had like one decent season!
Drinkwitz is a huge stretch. 1 winning season in last 4 years.
