I made this cake for my grandsons birthday early Nov.

The extra flour we add does that have to be ap? I’m going to be doing this Sunday with a simple mills gluten free cake mix
I have never tried this with a gluten free cake mix so I’m not really sure 🙁 but I will have to test some recipes with gluten free cake mixes and get back to you!

I have never seen this hack using these ingredients before. I have a question. You pointed out that it is important to sift the flour and chocolate for the cake. But made no mention of sifting the powdered sugar and chocolate for the frosting. Why not sift for the frosting? it is necessary isn't it?

Yes, you can use instant coffee to make the one cup of coffee if you like the taste

Any kind of coffee?
Any coffee should work! I used instant coffee here but I also like to use a freshly brewed cup of dark roast Colombian coffee! ☕️
