Baby looks JUST like mom! Lovely kid.
Baby noises in the background enhances narration
The sounds and sensations that are being imprinted on your baby's young brain will be a blessing for her entire life.
Oh gods she is ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That wee Bain is going to have great sea legs
The flow is good. If it is the one that fits .
Thank you for these heartwarming videos. You do such an amazing job creating a groove, stirring emotion and staying human. As a retired guy who’s been watching you a very long time now, it does my heart good to hear you express and acknowledge being at an amazing moment of life. I remember trying to take stock in those times/days with my kids, and I’m happy to see you are realizing the marvel of the moment. Life moves quickly, many people miss it being focused on the wrong things. Thanks again. ❤️
Thank you for such a lovely comment; so glad you’re enjoying our journey 🥰
My wife and I were active sailors when our first child was born. Our sailing friends said we would have to give up the sailing life, but we adapted and kept right on going. Our son took his first sail on the at 6 days old, and we were cruising with him at 6 months. We installed a seat belt in the cabin so we could strap him in his car seat when the weather got rough. That kept him from getting bounced around, and we could watch him from the cockpit. When our second son arrived, we continued to take the majority of our vacations on that boat for the next 15 years. We wouldn't trade those days for anything. We still have the Snoopy lifejacket they wore when they were infants. Our oldest is now 30, and he lives on the Tenn-Tom waterway on the same 23 ft sailboat that we had when he was born. Wish you all the best building memories with your new crew.
How cool thank you for sharing Daniel!
Great day for a great sail 🎉 ✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝 👙 🌞 ✨
How wonderful you two have the beautiful baby! I hate this You Tube Agorithum that nocks off my favorites for what they think I want to see!. Missed youtwo and the baby now here! Wonderful!
My old stomping grounds a lifetime ago in the mid 80s.
Seeing all three of you so happy makes me so happy! Thank you for sharing your adventures with all of us and sail on my friends!!
Good hair day too. It all helps.
So nice to see you three! Cheers!
Wonderful episode! We’ve followed you from the beginning, you’re a huge inspiration! We thoroughly enjoy your boat projects, Caribbean sailing, van life etc… this was special! A calm beautiful sail with Renata! ♥️✌🏼⛵️
You guys have the best music.
Smooth sailing!! Happy you had a great time
Good to see you sailing!
Kirk, when you told Lauren you were "High on Life", I hit the like button. A young babiy, a super wife & clouds will do that to you!
Happy to see a cribbage board, raise them up right. Now you have to display the proper way to muddle an Old Fashion. Love you guys and wish you the best.
Thanks Jethro!
"We're so lucky!" We know the feeling. We're back from our cruise now, but the whole time, every day we would be thinking the same thing, almost feeling like you're in a dream because life is going so great.
The soft shackle looks like a set of worry beads for person with insurmountable issues. 😂😂
Super smooth! Very chill episode😁❤️
Your boat has a much better hull shape than a i.p.
its a race!!!!
Sweet!
Favorite sailing channel!!!
Thanks
Renata has a great life, she gets to sleep on mom, and live in the fresh air. The gentle rocking is a built in rocking chair. It would be nice if you had an air conditioner, especially when Lauren has to do the voice over under a blanket.
Thanks Soulianis, nice episode and what a cute baby!
Nice to see how well the new crew member is assimilating. And the boat looks really great ❤️
Came across your channel and absolutely love it! Watching some back episodes to catch up. You are such a nice family. Great to see you enjoying life.
A happy and healthy family. Thanks again for filming. Your video is always good composition but the clearest, best definitions, segues between scenes, etc. You guys are good at making these.
The perfect woman !

Wow sooo much perfection! 😆
In years to come this wee one will be able to relive all the adventures you two took her to . How cool is that ?
Angus
My favorite sailing family, what a lovely sail😎🏝❤️Warren
Yup. Feel good for sure. Thx!
I sooo look forward to each new episode. Thanks for making the effort as I can assure you, each episode makes my day(or week as the case may be).
8:18 It's a series of prayer beads. But.. make sense. [laugh to tears]
Excellent Episode... Thank You for your Efforts!!!!
Quite probably the best sailing channel available. The total package. Attractive folks in an attractive location doing attractive activities while being down to earth and funny. What more could a viewer ask for?…..more!
Thank you for always sharing a little slice of your wonderful life! I enjoy living vicariously through you all. :)
Hi there, lots of smiles on my face watching your happiness, some really ideal sailing there to get your little one accustomed to the cruising life.
Best wishes always🙂
Great to have you guys back and really nice to see you haven't given up on the sailing since having the rug rat .
So y’all are headed to theTampa Bay Area. You will enjoy. My old stomping ground’s
you guys are wise to keep it down to a dull roar on heel and weather with a baby. In my 35' there were times when the bottom dropped out and everything inside bounced around going upwind...smart couple for that beautiful baby. I wish you two the absolute best with your family and boat.
Thank you Lance I think the saying “gentleman never sail to weather”, could be updated to include “boats with babies” too!
How much better does it get ? good on ya Kiddies....... :) .... OnWard.....
Love it! 2 awesome sails! Impossible to beat.
Florida seashore carnival is part of the prize!
Had an appointment 2hrs after this release. All I could do to wait until I really had time.
Thanks for all of your wonderful videos!
Well, that just made my heart happy. Thanks for sharing the joy!
Love seeing you guys enjoy the area! Great video! I love Caya Costa
Great episode, enjoyed it as always! So happy for you three...
Prayers and stay safe!
Love this video! It looks like you guys had a great sail! So glad the new mainsail and the deeper reef is working for you!
Thanks for warming us up in the North here, summer coming too slow!
You guys rock!
We made a similar Spinnaker Ball setup! Always gets weird looks from people hanging in the galley ;)
You guys are in my stomping grounds. Venice, Cayo Costa, Port Charlotte, the whole area is nice.
Wish I knew we are on the water in Port Charlotte
ive got a name suggestion for your guys boat too!! its just your old one but we replace the is at the end with us....maybe i own the clearwater... maybe i dont lol
Glad to see you're all so happy and the exhaustion of 'new baby syndrome' hasn't dulled that enthusiasm of yours.
We used your sailing checklist to purchase our own boat (just a few details to iron out) and we'll be taking our first steps into a larger World... baby steps that is
Congrats! 🎉
As I listened to your cliche at 15:25 "it doesn't get much better than this", I couldn't help but think of the story about the father of Jim and John Harbaugh (coaches of the Univ of Michigan and the Baltimore Ravens football teams, respectively). It is said that while driving his sons someplace when they were young he would ask "Who has it better than us?" And the answer in unison from the back seat was always "NOOOBODY!"
So who has it better than you two? On that day at least, nobody.
Such a cute baby! Fair winds to you…..
Thank you! 😊
Oh... the new boat teasers are almost here!
No spoilers please!
So happy to see Soulianis! What a beautiful sail….north and back south ❤️⛵️ We haul out on Friday to paint the bottom, and our plan is to go where the wind takes us when we cast off the dock lines the end of this month!
Awesome Karyn! Glad to hear it, did you find paradise in PR?
You were in my backyard...lived on Sanibel and fort myers area since 1973
Outta your mention earlier of boat-names, I'm reminded of wanting to know the story behind your boat's name…
@Carl Smith - they talk about it on their web page, linked in the notes. It's a nod to Hitchhiker's Guide
About half way down the page you'll find your answer: sailingsoulianis.com/about/sv-soulianis/
Happy Mothers Day, Lauren!
Aw thank you!
Best looking mom on the seas 🌊
What a perfect music match for this episode, so much fun! (How much 'real world' time passed from 4:23 - 4:38?)
Fun question! About a half hour ;)
I always look forward to your videos. The others are right! watching your videos makes happy! Thanks for that! Please keep it up! Where are you now, one year later? Hope you are all well and greetings from Luxembourg
There is a private island called little bokelia island across the way from you that I worked on for about 3 months, gorgeous area
And my parents owned a marina on Anna Maria Island in the 60's
You know you can get A/C units that you install head units inside the boat there like 2 ft long and about 9 inches square and the compresser mounts on deck their like 2to 3ft Sq and about 9 in.thick and are designed to run on ether shore power or solar then you simply run an insulated 1/2 to 3/4 inch line from the compressor outside the boat to the head units inside the boat and control them with one of two remote controls u get the whole kit for front between 1500 to 2000 dollars for the whole kit could probably install it in 1 or 2 days , the company mini splits has units starting at around 1100 dollars for 24000 but, and never worry about the baby or you guts getting overheated again , P/S the 1100 dollar one is only 69 dollars a month you should check into it there on line under solar powered mini splits A/C units
If you're brazilians, the little Renata's nickname would be Renatinha, that means little Renata lol Cheers from Brazil. You're quite nice human beings
I look forward to each episode you produce. Tha Reana steals the show! She has such beautiful eyes, and that smile, Wow! Hope you have many more enjoyable sails. What is your next long passage?
Lotsa sun, sea n sails as promised. And of course a cute baby, but you didn't tell us about the awesome soft shackle infomercial. Bonus!
😂
I live in Bradenton awesome place to sail
One of our favorites!
9:24 sounds like Colin Furze
Thanks from Cape Breton Island NS Canada. Its slowly getting nice, but not Florida nice lol.
Maybe in August? 😂
Give her 4 or 5 years and you won't be able to get her off the wheel 🤣🤣🤣🙃
Looks like an awesome sail. We just did the same sail but reversed. Sarasota to Venice to Cabbage Key to Ft Myers Beach (where I think is where you guys got hit by lighting?) Im hoping for the best 👌
👍👍👍♻️🍃🍀
Everything was perfect, happy for you three!
So this heading North comment … are you gonna finish the Great American loop like I asked a couple years ago and bring ‘er back to the Wisconsin area, maybe in time for Summerfest? :-)
Hi Herb! Finishing the loop isn’t high on our list. We may end up completing it some day but it will probably be done in pieces and spanning a couple of decades.
That was a great episode. I'm high on life just watching it. Thank you. What would it take to get your auto pilot working? Seems like it would be worth it with the baby and all.
Absolutely. I think it would require a full replacement.
@@SailingSoulianis Several years ago we had our auto pilot (among many other electronic devices) replaced for free via insurance. The result of a lightning strike. I don't recommend it.😀
Awesome video. Did Renata choose a major yet?
😂 I see what you did there…
I too have watched you from the beginning. Great videos. Send more (I know it's a lot of work). I am preparing to sail South also. Is there a way I could pick your brain? Where did you find all your info, such as where to un-step the mast, overnight stops on the river, and so on, is there a source for it. How do I get you my contact info? Thanks
Do you use “preventers” when sailing downwind?
Absolutely
@@SailingSoulianis Something that an unintended jibe will teach you. Don’t ask me how I know that.
Since Renata is now one and a half, this video must have been shot a year ago. Nevertheless, it was very well done! Will you disclose where you are now?
Was this from 2020 or 2021? I know you are behind, just trying to have a point of reference
Hi, You made me feel good too. So good to see a young family enjoying life on the water. However I noticed in your video that your tender looks like it's covering the forward hatch. Blocking your exit should you ever need it.
Glad to hear it! Astute observation. We actually have it positioned so the hatch is free to open up into the well of the dinghy should an escape be necessary. The dinghy tie-downs can be cut from there.
Ive got to know, who picks the music????
That would be me, Lauren! I spend a SILLY amount of time wading through all the tracks on Artlist (the subscription music library we use).
I had a sneaking suspicion it was you and I'll say you have impeccable taste in music and it sets the vibe for the video perfectly!! Cheers to you!!
Thanks! 🙏 So glad you enjoyed it!
I know ur behind but isn’t Renata in school now?
Y'all sell her yet? How much ya thinking? :-D
"Racing" an Island Packet is somewhat of an oxymoron/admission. If you can't whup an Island Packet, you have a seriously slow boat. I say that affectionately, being an IP owner.
lol good to hear. :) I don’t think many are attracted to an IP for their speed.
Just do one shot every time the word perfect is said…..
:D
great video, but please be safe when you wear baby in dingy and standing up
What's the deal with your auto-pilot? Can't you get it fixed? (Well, now I realize you've sold that boat and are now boat-less, and so that point is moot). So is it a privacy thing...? Which I would totally understand. I mean, you don't want your followers actually... following you! Or does it take 3 months or more to edit your videos. Hey, I'm just askin' questions here. You don't even HAVE to be on RUclips.
But you're here and we're interested. When you put yourself Out There you become intertwined with your audience, don't you. Hard to imagine what that would be like. We are a very quiet couple. Keep to ourselves. I'd be more social given more ops, buy my gf likes her solitude. We spend hours together never speaking-- in a good, zen-like way. ANYhow my point is it's all good. Hope you find your dream boat. A catamaran perhaps?
