I played a little bit of FF16. It is decent. But I still prefer Wrath of the Righteous PC RPG. Only out a few years but recently released enhanced edition. It is based on Pathfinder version of D&D. Which I'm not much a fan of. But has improvements for PC. The reason this is great is because of a story, strategy, and how each level is meaningful.
Ooo! I didn't realise that your little hint at the start of the game was in any way spoiling - until you stopped doing it here. I feel I enjoyed that game MUCH more without the usual hint at the beginning. Thank you, sir! It's a great improvement that I didn't even know I wanted.

I love FF games as well as action games like Bayonetta & Devil May Cry. So FF16 is a match made in heaven for me. The battle set pieces are incredible. Almost as good as this endgame!! I'm a little sad the developers sacrificed the deeper RPG/Party systems to realise this particular vision. Side quests, items & gear all feel a little wanting at times. However the world & characters still feel true to the epic spirit of the series - and the grimdark influence of The Witcher and Game of Thrones works surprisingly well. FF7 Remake does a decent job of incorporating classic FF strategy elements into an action RPG setting. So hopefully we'll see this stuff better realised in the future.
Final Fantasy XVI is my front runner for game of the year. Also, love all your chess analysis. My game has gotten MUCH better after watching you talk through these games

when Magnus played pawn to c2 Vishy resigned... that's what I saw from the actual video footage...where did the subsequent moves come from in this video??? not sure what happened here..EDIT: ok I just saw the clarification comment from Agadmator...the subsequent moves were analysis...
I don't think it would apply here but when one player just loses on time, the victor should be allowed the option of offering terms such as: I'm willing to reset the clocks to 60 seconds with a three second increment (for example then if the time loser goes on to win he claws a couple of points back, it he loses for a second time the winner gets 4 or, this example 5 points for the win and rather than than zero for the single loss he'd get -2 for losing twice...
First I really like your channel because it keeps bringing me back for the variety you offer. My first and only tat is in honor of Anderson vs Kieseritzky "The Immortal Game"....sad to say it was childish and poorly done by an armature. I got this tat because I really loved chess in my 30s. Unable to really travel and busy with life, I played some postal chess but not many games. They were sanctioned through the FIDE in the 90s...almost before computers...I didn't have one at least. How do I find my ranking? I seem to remember hitting Expert almost Master...is there a way to find this historical info?

@@moon4tzuyupokeonce41 nah I ain't getting paid to promote the game I'm just a fan of the franchise and chess
@@moon4tzuyupokeonce41Antonio asked for reviews of ffxvi in this video, that's why he gave review😅
I was not completely serious about my previous comment but ok, I missed the part where Agad asked for the reviews, thank you...
Yep
Great channel! Can we please add the evaluation bar to the analysis?
1:08 Magnus calculated that in about 53 moves Anand would play B4. He decided to not allow that and played knight C3. Anand fell for this clever trap and recaptured.
All I keep thinking of is that AMD commercial with Anand talking about being a chess player for a living. After all this time he is still excellent.
Both are legends...❤❤
WOW
what a joy is a game between these 2
greatest active players
take care agad i hope your throat heals♥
I played a little bit of FF16. It is decent. But I still prefer Wrath of the Righteous PC RPG. Only out a few years but recently released enhanced edition. It is based on Pathfinder version of D&D. Which I'm not much a fan of. But has improvements for PC. The reason this is great is because of a story, strategy, and how each level is meaningful.
Magnus and vishy always bring out their best while facing eachother...The Rivalry is strong 💪
Those last two moves never happened. Anand just resigned before his time run out.
Ooo! I didn't realise that your little hint at the start of the game was in any way spoiling - until you stopped doing it here. I feel I enjoyed that game MUCH more without the usual hint at the beginning. Thank you, sir! It's a great improvement that I didn't even know I wanted.
Wild that both kings end up on the F file rather than castling.
best moments of the game
vishy sigh of relief after a8 queen
both smile after the move.
then the reacrion of magnus after under promotion c1 knight with check.
all in all best game. well played. ❤❤
FF16 is excellent. The combat system is action packed. Good storyline and plot too. I’m only 2 hours in but great thus far.
The Mozart of chess again weaves his ethereal endgame magic! Magnus Carlsen is indeed the God of chess.
Ke4 would be a very strange opening move.
Final Fantasy XVI is my front runner for game of the year.
Also, love all your chess analysis. My game has gotten MUCH better after watching you talk through these games
Ive been playing FFXVI and I think it’s unbelievably good. I’ve played almost all of them and this one is stacking up as one of the greats as far as I’m concerned.
Magnus is just a legend. Put cudos to the 53 year old Master of Chess Brilliancy
Correction: Magnus never played knight c1, vishy resigned the game after pawn c2.
Age is just a number.
V. Anand still a lion
Great game... Magnus seems to be the only one comfortable against Vishy
I think at the end move you are using move from analyst board, Anand already resign when Magnus move his pawn
Not knowing who is going to win until the very last move does, indeed improve the enjoyment of your game presentation.
when Magnus played pawn to c2 Vishy resigned... that's what I saw from the actual video footage...where did the subsequent moves come from in this video??? not sure what happened here..EDIT: ok I just saw the clarification comment from Agadmator...the subsequent moves were analysis...

I have been playing and following chess for 10,000 years. This is the most insane tactics in the history of chess!
Incredible to think of knight promotion with such little time
First I really like your channel because it keeps bringing me back for the variety you offer.
As usual magnus grinded water out of stone!!
That was such a thriller..!🤩
Amazing, a game from the top table !! Excellence guidance and interpretation. Thkz Agad
I’m not mad at you for the clickbait title but I wish I didn’t know this happened ahead of the recap. I always get recommended other recaps, it’s a good idea for the telegram channel, keep pushing this man.
FF16. I’m maybe 3-4 hours in. Enjoying so far. A good wind down game in comparison to the BR games I’ve been playing for the last few years.
Amazing game! Thanks!
Great overview Agad! For a more in-depth (rather beautiful) analysis of this end-game, watch Peter Svidler's video recorded at the tournament venue post-game.
Thanks for bringing out this game agad..
1. Ke4 is actually my favourite opening. I play it often, but only over the board; for some reason the online interfaces won't let me.
Excelente game!!
0 . 47 - bongcloud, the new theory from 23 century
Wat a slugfest this was. Unreal chess by both. I'd have lost that endgame at least 5 times with both colors, such was the complication 😵
5 times is an understatement
The endgame tables say the position at 15:45 is a draw. Though I could easily see White winning it when human players are playing.
That was a thriller! Magnus won his lawsuit! Thank you Magnus for ten years of pure bliss.
Ah, yes, 0:44, an opening also called the Illegal Bongcloud Gambit
This is what I feel a chess game would look like in an anime between 2 strong rivals
im a huge final fantasy fan and am currently playing. i really really love it cause it goes back to the roots. no magitech und futuristic kind of things. pure final fantasy with an emotional story and peak gameplay. although i dont really like the fact that its not really an open world like ff15 was.
I like being told what format the game is, even if it is noted in bottom right :)
I am loving ff16 so far, really fun game
Not a game…a battle!
Final Fantasy XVI is amazing
Mehn gukesh will finally drag this team down to last position
Why is he still playing at second board tho.
Mehn really annoying
Epic battle is an understatement. Watched it live.
Wow! What a battle!
What kind of engine? Toyota? Genaral Motors? Ferrari? How big? 5 Liters? V8?
One of the best game that i ever seen. Stalemate makes me stunned.
