I don't know how I missed this video on my feed but DAMN, I love these guys. I have been a huge fan of the 101st and have been using them in my Infantry Only playthroughs but it looks like I need to invest a few more points in the research tree. Thanks for the info and also a GREAT way to present it. Super quality tutorial type video. 👍
Thanks!Dude! I love this type of video! Going over a unit, detailing their pro's, and a showcase at the end to show them off? Please do more like this! I love learning about individual units like this!
@@PuggoRebornChannel No problem! Thanks for the awesome videos! And not in particular, I just like the idea of these videos : ) but infantry squads are typically the most difficult to understand what they do and are good for haha
I think Brandenburgers can be argued to be close, same stealth modifiers and good weapons (5 panzerfaust). They don't get all these good solder types like a mechanic, radio op and medic sadly.
Brandenburgers don't get 5 panzerfaust. At least in game version I play on hardcore. They just get AT grenades, TNT, and satchel charges. But at 6 research points to get, they are available quickly. They don't compare to this squad, but at 23 research points away, it will late game till you can get the American squad.
They would be amazing with 5 panzerfausts! It would outdo fallschirms. But most games i just rely on blau divisions. Brandenburgers are like 6 research points (rifle > vet rifle > brandenburg). Blau division is 4 research points (rifle > blau). 375 hp, 10 men, 1 machine gun - cheapest and most basic elite infantry in the game.
@@mwbiggs Oh my bad, I've only tried them in 1944-45 multiplayer and they have 5 panzerfaust there. I didn't know campaign has different unit composition
infantry combat actually has very good potential, yet still ruined by tank spam fest on most game sessions. There has to be something to make tanks more valuable and not to be used ignorantly and just respawn them again and again. That will make infantry combat used more.
@@Bawar33there is built in, in game restriction for that. Use custom game setting (change the standard text in green first) then exclude all non infantry units to your liking
Great squad review. I think you need Call-in stage 4 as well from up above to start across the vertical line. Then you can cross the line with the 23 research points needed.
My Krauts needs a big overhaul Camouflage, m42 Helmets, all the late war stuff , Panzergrenandiers, Volksgrenadiers , G43 rifles , STG44s More historical Units like panzer lehr Div.
Overall, the combat section has more tactical options. 82nd 1944 was added later and made to be the deadlier squad. I would consider them less tactical with more stopping power.
Idk maybe it's just my playstyle but i haven't had to use anything but the 45th ID squads. I play on hardest difficulty and use the US Ranger platoon organization of having 1 mortar and bazooka attached to 2 infantry squads. I can't justify them doubling in cost/men when i could bring an extra 155 long tom instead. Not to mention the insane research pt investment.
Can you also find the best squads from the other countries like tye best squad from Germany, Ussr and Finland. Also I agrred with that squad being the best it is so versetile
If you can add some small info about what differentiates each unit, that would be cool too. Eg soviet paratroopers (smg fest) > black sea marines (shovels and rifles). Sometimes, it is hard to see why you would want to spend more research points to upgrade.
Exciting i think the anti tank guys should get this stealth as it would be awesome i enjoy the rifle grenade guys so much for disabling tanks and has saved my butt a few times
I just wish the airborne dudes had more Thompson machine guns as they would struggle against Yeager boys with so many mp40's 38's they can easily beat American boys in the close quarters m1 grand is great but in the close quarters they do lack a little bit
issue with using tompson is the price, it makes no sense for the US to field a majority of tomps for a unit, the germans got away with this because well, their submachine guns guns were cheap to make. it wasnt until the m3 did the US have something cheaper, problem was that it was still somewhat expensive and poorly designed with so many design flaws. like not having a charging handle. so the US is in this weird limbo, their good smg is too expensive to use on mass, but their cheaper option is so bad they cant really use it on mass for forward units.
I love these games but the problem is... there's just TOO MANY units to deal with. Too many fronts to keep an eye on. Too much going on, to truly play the game without making mistakes simply because you were doing something else. Really wish the games friendly AI was more up to snuff. It's a night and day difference going from the original games in the series (Face of War, Soldiers: Heroes of WW2, Men of War etc.) to the games nowadays. It's why I prefer the defensive based missions. A little to easier to keep track of everything and accurately place orders along the entire frontline.
I was honestly not impressed by the radio operator as you can clearly see the rounds go through the earth and still don't kill or even damage them I even tested this and yes the rounds that go through the ground do and don't deal damage god that animation is so buggy I would rather have two priests do a better job then that or two priests and a long tom its pretty satisfying
@@PuggoRebornChannel I think I just got really unlucky with the rounds clipping tough the environment. I usually really like the radio operators in the skirmish missions.
It would be cool to do a mini series and cover the most elite infantry units of each faction
I had no idea how effective this squad could be. Love what youre donig for the community!
Thanks!

I just wanna have an option to play skirimish with infantry only , or to be able to limit tanks maybe .

I absoulutely love that intro song of yours, it's like you are in 80s strip club.
Lmao
Watching you from Brazil
This is my go to squad! These guys are beasts.
with the Radio Operator and so much AT this squad is pretty much OP xD
I might have to pick these guys up now. Would definitely be fun to use

That's fair, I had figured call-in 4 was given bc you'll get it one way or another. Good point

Thanks for this amazing video! How does this combat unit compare to the 82nd Airborne Squad (1944)? I wasn't sure if adding an LMG is better or not.

Absolutely, the highlights show how much fire power they layout on tanks. Really helpful

I mix these dudes in with the 101st (that comes with the 50cal?) for some nice variety
I believe they have a .30 Cal, but still sick

For sure, I reached out to the devs
This has been my experience with the radio operator as well. Used him in a few rounds and didn't get a single kill with any of the mortar strikes.
Can't say it's been that bad. I have gotten plenty of kills with it
