  • Join me, Linda Salant, in an enlightening conversation with Dr. Ankur Verma, an emergency medicine physician from New Delhi, as he shares his life-changing journey with the carnivore diet and its profound effects on his health and medical practice.
If you aren't yet convinced that diet, especially the overconsumption of carbohydrates, is the cause of most chronic diseases that land people in the emergency room, this episode is for you!
And if you think that an ancestral, whole foods diet is bulletproof, think again!
Dr. Verma challenges the contemporary understanding of diabetes in India by referencing historical documents that highlight the prevalence of diabetes among rice-eating populations long before the advent of processed foods and refined oils. Dr. Verma's discussion offers a deep dive into the impact of traditional diets on metabolic health, suggesting a reconsideration of current dietary guidelines and practices.

I just saw a video on Dave Mac's channel where a doctor, retired wants other doctors and lawyers to contact him to file a class action lawsuit about these issues that doctors ignore.

@@carolinemarie44 it's seriously too bad that the advice most doctors give doesn't really help the population get rid of the cause of their disease.

@Jennifers_HappyPlace thank you! I found all the information Dr. Verma shared to be just fascinating also! It reinforces the idea that it's not the seed oils, but the carbohydrates causing the metabolic syndrome. Or at least causing it in the absence of seed oil, so seed oil intake isn't the main driver or the singular cause!
