Hey Elise. I’ll pass these tips on to my daughter. Unfortunately she didn’t inherit my naturally long and curved lashes. My problem is with loss of lashes. These are great tips and I’ve used a few of these. Sorry I’m late again. My notifications setting was changed again. I don’t understand how this keeps happening. I’m not doing it, I promise. I’ve changed it back to All, again! Hope you had a wonderful Easter!
Hi, Lisa--I hope your daughter finds the tips helpful. And how I bet she wishes she'd inherited your beautiful eyelashes. I'm comvinced there are gremlins at work on RUclips. This kind of thing seems to happen fairly regularly, unfortunately. We had a wonderful Easter and hope yours was special as well, Lisa.
I had no idea that there were alternatives to curling lashes without using a curler or a spoon. I tried the first technique using the finger, and it worked perfectly! Thank you so much! ✨👌🏼
Hi, Mona--Welcome! I do think the technique using the finger is one of the best. Thanks for letting me know this video was helpful. I really appreciate your taking the time to do so.
Hi, Dot--You never fail to make me smile. Thanks so much for all the ways you brighten my day. And I hope one of more of these tips will prove to be helpful. Wishing you all the best.
I recommend applying Loreal double extend mascara primer or your preferred primer first. Once the primer is dry, then use an eyelash curler. The primer slightly stiffens the lashes which holds a better curl. However, I can not use an eyelash curler every day because my fragile eyelashes sometimes fall out. Thank you for demonstrating some much gentler alternatives to curling our lashes I am definitely going to give them a try as I have had no success with heated eyelash curlers. I have just discovered your podcast, and I so appreciate your helpful guidance for those of us in our fifties and beyond.
Hi, Leanne--Welcome! It's so nice to have you with us and I'm glad you're finding the videos helpful. Thanks also for the recommendation. Do you have a particular eyelash primer that you like? If so, I'd be grateful if you'd let us all know. And if you have a moment, I'd also love to know how you found my channel since that can be really helpful information. Best wishes.
To: Elise I apply only a thin layer of Loreal double extend or Loreal voluminous base primers before curling the lashes with the Rephr eyelash curler; otherwise I find applying too much primer can weigh down the lashes. I believe it was Sharalees Box of Chocolates who recommended your channel. Wishing you a joyous and blessed holiday.
@@LeanneLawent-do9mh Hi, Leanne--Thanks so much for this additional information and for letting me know you came my way via Sharalee's channel. She's such a sweetheart!
I use this method with the double extended. I also wait between coats just until it slightly dries but not fully as I find the next coat sticks better and really grabs the lashes to pull them up and stay. 😊
Hi, Mary Ann--I just got back from a morning walk and it was such a joy to see signs of spring. I hope you're enjoying them where you are too. Blessings to you, my friend.
Thanks for the tips! I enjoy watching BeautySoom, a Korean makeup channel. The various make up artists all use thin wooden sticks, heated with a lighter! They do this after using eyelash curlers and mascara. I can’t tell a difference in the eyelash curl, but it’s an interesting practice.
Thank you for these tips that I will have to try. I have used an eyelash curler for more than forty years with no issues. For the past couple of years my eyelashes point straight ahead before I have finished applying mascara. I am 62 so I figured it had to with aging, but my 29 year old daughter said the same thing is happening to her. 🤔
Hi, Michelle--It's truly amazing how so many things change with our brows and lashes, I just noticed the other day that some of my eyelashes are growing quite a bit longer than others--so strange. I do hope you find one or more of these tips to be helpful. Best wishes.
I'm really fortunate in having very long, naturally curled lashes. It's surprising because my hair is what my hairdresser calls "Japanese hair": it's superstraight. However because I have really really blonde lashes (they're practically invisible) I never realised how long and curly they were. I always thought it was just the mascara. I only realised it was my lashes when I happened to see them in sunlight in the mirror.....
Hi, Doris--Welcome! I hope you'll find these methods helpful. There are so many good mascaras out there. One of my favorites from the drugstore is L'Oreal's Lash Paradise. And Gwen Stefani's new brand Give also launched an excellent one this year. And then there are excellent mascaras from Doll 10, Tower 28 and Thrive.
I cannot use an eyelash curler anymore. My 76-year-old short Asian lashes have become super sparse with some lashes growing in weird angles. The curler makes them look worse! I will definitely try some of these methods!
Hi, Joann--It's so interesting how our eyelashes and brows change as the years go by. I do hope some of these other eyelash curling methods will work well for you. Best wishes.
Ok! I tried the spoolie heated with my breath, applied mascara, then pushed up the tips upward while blowing my breath upward toward my eyes. This worked out really well! The day before I tried the finger pressed up against my eyeball but this got messy and removed some of my eyeliner. Maybe have to use the spoon behind the pressing to keep the mascara from transferring to my eyelids...anyway I'll keep working on the various techniques! I'm having fun trying to find what works for me! I was so close to using falsies but I wasn't crazy about doing it... I found your post in the nick of time! Thanks for helping all of us lash curler challenged😊.
@@joannkodama2096 Hi, Joann--I'm so glad to hear you're having fun trying these various techniques. If you have time, I'd love to hear what method you feel works best for you.
Update on what works best for my eyelashes. After applying the first coat of mascara, I push the lashes up from the base to the tips using my finger, doing this with subsequent layers especially the tips. It doesn't take a lot of time. I like Maybelline's Sky High regular mascara for the top lashes and L'Oreal s Telescopic regular mascara for the bottom.
Could you tell me the name of primer, and mascara?Im having a problem with my lashes falling out, I try all this stuff even an expensive curler, they used to stay curled, but I don’t know I turned 55 and in]m not sure how to grow some of them back
Hi, Patricia--I can imagine how frustrating this has been for you. There are lash growth serums that really work, but you just have to avoid ones that contain prostaglandins which can cause problems. A good one is made by Sweed Beauty. They also make two really good mascaras.
