Wow! You snap that thing! Sidearm pitcher in baseball could be your fallback career... Thanks for the tutorial. One thing I noticed and wasn't sure on... When you demonstrated following through, your whole body went through. But it's hard for me to see it when you bombed that last shot. Did you actually do the follow through and bring your whole body through? If not, there might be even more on the table for you. If so, just disregard. Thanks again!
Great video! Getting lower the ground is something I need to work on instead of standing up tall like a backhand. Also, reinforcing the follow through is something you do not hear a lot of. Again, great tips!
I’m trying to build a forehand. I gotta work on lower body. I never was the hardest thrower in baseball, but when I got my leg behind it I had decent power
My elbow is good! I’ve never had any pain or soreness from disc golf. Part of that is because my arm has gotten really durable from all my years playing baseball.
That's awesome I hope you enjoy the raider! I use the standard two finger stacked grip and your technique will develop with time but it's important to remember to stay through the "power pocket/zone" which I talked about in this video and flick your wrist to generate good spin and minimal wobble!
I’m struggling with the flick portion. What arm/wrist motion do you mentally focus on for shots like these? I can get the disc to go 300-325 as I’m engaging the lower body but it’s very wobbly the first part of the flight
If you are struggling will wobble I would suggest throwing a lot of putters and slower discs to practice the wrist flick. Once you master the slower discs, forehanding drivers will be easy
@@benpropes can you tell a beginner about the exact release points on fingers, you grip it from both ends or are the bottom ones last to touch the disc? I never see this part explained. Like it's really difficult to grip a putter due to the short/sharp rim.
You can’t teach 400 foot forehands. If someone is currently maxed at 250 they could get to 300 with form correction but only more natural athleticism will get them all the way to 400
The goal of this video isn't to teach 400ft forehands. I titled the video "How I throw 400ft Forehands" with the hope that my distance tips can help others gain distance. Whether you throw 200ft or 300ft I was hoping to provide some useful info related to throwing forehands further.
I appreciate your videos, being a left-handed player.
Glad you enjoy them!
8:22 thanks for the video. I am a newby left handed player. Lots to learn.
New to disc golf. I'm a lefty and most comfortably and consistently throw forehanded, your content is SUPER helpful!
Nice video I’m a lefty forehand as well.

Nice video. I have a ton of work to do (I backhand) but your video gave me a solid place to start. 👍
I'm glad it was helpful!

why does the side of my shoulder hurt after a few times i yam on it. is this nomal for new forehand players? sincerally campy
how's your elbow? i can easily werck mine when trying forehand, 'cause my form and technique sucks. but how does your elbow react to that heavy snap?

Great video, silly question. Can you explain what "powering through the shot means".?
Basically what I mean is to be proactive about engaging your lower body and to be intentional about generating spin and power on the disc
Love it! I just bought a raider today cuz of this. Any forehand technique vids? Or how do you hold the disc? I do two fingers side by side.

Good stuff man I Love the love
@@kylewaibl2107 appreciate it!
You and Clemmons should go head to head!
I think Chris would smoke me if we went head to head haha
@@benpropes dunno dude. I think you've got a shot.
@@southtoe3607 haha maybe!
Tell that to scott stokely tho 😂
Ryan Sheldon was a minor league pitcher and he's been clocked at 82 with a disc ... throws it 500 - 600.
Big boy distance
1:33 The Raider has to be 6 glide. There's no way that's 5
nice and beat in haha

I'm interested to see where I can go just started disc golf and my forehand is 300ish but my stance is so tall its more of a baseball throw.
