@@KeyIssues maybe Ahsokas better in a straight duel but obi wan has more wisdom and knows when to fight, he clearly was able to deal with Darth Maul swiftly
I think the charm of Ahsoka is that the fans got to watch her grow up and watch her progression as a jedi, a warrior, a friend. We as fans can relate on some scale regardless of our ages.
There's a moment in one scene of the new film where tears almost appear in his eye. These are crocodile tears, but for all those in the movie, and perhaps watching the movie itself, they'll see he is apparently moved - and of course, he is. He can just do it. He can, as it were, turn it on. And I suppose for him, it's also a bit of a turn-on - the pure exercise of power is what he's all about. That's the only thing he's interested in and the only thing that can satisfy him - which makes him completely fascinating to play because it is an evil soul. He is more evil than the devil. At least Satan fell - he has a history, and it's one of revenge
Which is why I think Ahsoka could’ve beaten Vader. She fought maul and before that fought inquisitors who outnumbered to who’s fighting style is very similar to hers which means she already used a considerable amount of energy. She also seemed conflicted during the fight.
@Nick Fletcher. they said the last of daughters life force was used tobring asoka back to life.maybe that could mean healing but the fact the owl follows asoka everywhere now gives us decent inference to assume the life force was placed inside of asoka rather then used up to heal her
@@steffenbauer6415 I hope Anakin's force ghost visuted her to apologise for all the wrong he's done to her and the galaxy and then Ahsoka would apologise for leaving him but he would smirk, fade her tears away and tell her that she did a greater good to the galaxy than he could have and then reveal she is the choosen one BAM BAM!
Ahsoka must be crazy powerful. Trained by literally the finest of the Jedi Order (Anakin, Obi, Yoda, Plo), veteran in galactic warfare as a teenager, survivor of the Order 66 and Empire -era. She would’ve probably been one of the youngest ever knighted padawan and a master made knight. At the end of the CW her accomplishments are as good as anyones and she have gained insane amount of experience for her age.
had she stayed in the order during the CWs its possible she actually would have attained master rank before anakin lmaoooo. she definitely earned jedi knight rank much earlier, and its clear that in the final season she's in a whole other tier compared to most other jedi knights...while he may not have been trying to kill her nor her kill him, but she held her own against maul fairly well, something i doubt most jedi that werent seasoned knights or masters could have done. its entirely possible if she had stayed in the order and faced maul (and captured him as she did while not in the order anymore) they could have given her the rank of master. she dueled a sith, and technically won. that says a lot~
@@mwbwyatt I wouldn’t say much earlier She was like 16 or 17 at the time and Anakin was knighted at 19 so it’s pretty close. I’d like to believe that had she stuck around Anakin may not have so readily joined the dark side.
I feel like there is a tier between obi wan and sidious, windu, Yoda, Vader, and sidious. I would put her on the level as a canon Luke sky walker but maybe just a bit below
@@matthewmeadows6699 There isn't, Maul is canonically stronger in the force and as a duelist than Count Dooku. As of the episode Twilight of the Apprentice Maul is still stronger than Ahsoka. Old Ben Kenobi is at the strongest he has ever been, he took Maul out in 3 moves, he fought Prime Vader, where Vader himself said that even the slightest inch of an opening would end with him being cut down by his old master. Even in their fight Vader did not see Ahsoka as the final boss, it was just the side quest that could get him a clue to find the final boss Obi Wan Kenobi.
@@aacm1259 That is sort of correct. I would dispute the Maul and Dooku thing though. Maul has Dooku outmatched in saber combat simply because of the Juyo vs Makashi matchup, which is heavily unfavorable for Dooku, and I'm pretty sure Dooku is stronger in the Force than Maul, considering Sidious viewed Maul as a sort of attack-dog and he viewed Dooku as a useful pawn.
@@pulsargaming3605 Except Sidious did not think of Maul that way. Dooku was indeed powerful, no one doubts that but Maul was already as powerful being less than half his age, Sidious himself said that Dooku was like a proton torpedo, powerful but merely a means to an end, he served his purpose and was disposed of, while he says how Maul was a true loss. Until Anakin came into the picture, Maul was trained by Sidious to eventually surpass him and become the Sith Master in his own right. He in fact took him because he sensed that Maul's potential in the force, was greater than Mother Talzin's, who along with Yoda was Sidious's only match during the Clone Wars era.
Palpatine's role in the prequel films required McDiarmid to play two dimensions of the same character. Recalling the initial days of shooting The Phantom Menace, McDiarmid stated, "Stepping onto the set of Episode I for the first time was like going back in time, due to my experience in Jedi. Palpatine's an interesting character; he's conventional on the outside, but demonic on the inside - he's on the edge, trying to go beyond what's possible."[118] McDiarmid added another layer to the character in Attack of the Clones. He noted, "[Palpatine] is a supreme actor. He has to be even more convincing than somebody who isn't behaving in a schizophrenic fashion, so he's extra charming, or extra professional - and for those who are looking for clues, that's almost where you can see them." McDiarmid illuminated on the scene where Padmé Amidala is almost assassinated:
I don’t think she’d ever really surpass Anakin. Dave Filoni and George Lucas have stated several times that Anakin Skywalker is the single most powerful jedi to ever live. That’s not to say she’s not incredibly powerful tho.
He had the most potential and had the strongest raw connection to the force of any Jedi but never realized that potential and didn’t become the strongest Jedi.
@@Stonemon16 maybe not the strongest jedi But when he was anointed as darth vader his power doubled And again he had the potential to become something greater With palatine even saying that anakin would surpass him Now imagine all of that power against ahsoka Her speed would be no match for his She would survive a short while before death
I still remember how much everyone hated Ashoka when she was revealed in CW. I don't think a character has had such a bigger vindication arc with fandom. I wonder if the same could happen with Jarjar?
Could *have* happened, maybe. However, Ahsoka was only truly bad in the animated movie - which was objectively terrible all around, it was NOT just a her problem. While every appearance after that went to strengthen her, Jar Jar never grew in any way over his multiple movie appearances. He just did the same shit for less time.
@@eon001 You’re missing my core point - it *was* possible once, but he’s held that reputation for too long at this point and he’s appeared several times while still being ass. There was a window once, but it’s closed now.
When you are trained by the best and you spend a ton of time around the best you eventually take up the mantle. The Best. Happened with Ahsoka. Happened with her creator Dave Filoni.
She was a lucky one, trained primarily by Anakin, but also co-trained by masters Yoda, Obi-Wan, and Plo Koon (who first discovered her as a force sensitive child). Some "nasty" four. Fortunately her character evolved a lot and at the right pace on the clone wars, her first appearances staled quickly and she was becoming boring and way to childest even for a young padowan.
She's pretty powerfull but i feel like we haven't got to see her fully potential yet. I mean her older self i still think we haven't seen her peak of power and i loved seeing her in the mandalorian but she was portrayed very weak in my opinion like i feel she's beeing downgraded in power so i hope we get too see more of older Ahsoka like an live action series Hopefully She's definetly my favorite character with Anakin too
Right, i sense she has more room to grow, if it is done right. She is already very powerful -but the difference is we have watched her slowly earn that power. Rey on the other hand was 100% Mary Sue, and the sequels handled her character development so poorly that at this point, she has nowhere to go but to hell!
Can't wait to see more of Ahsoka, she's such an awesome and interesting characters in the Star Wars Universe! I'm still waiting for the day she meets Anakin's children, Luke (especially) and Leia.
she did met and interact widely with Luke during the mandalorian, as Luke was hoping to train grogu. They're seen in the same planet where Luke is trying to rebuild the order and Asohka's just watches, as she is a jedi no more and it seems to me she'll never be again (as inside the Jedi ortodoxy the order fell and it seems Luke is trying to revive with poor or no efforts to evolve the Jedi philosophy accordingly to more modern times, as Yoda should have done before him). Craving for the release of her show
They didn't like her at first because she was a "brat" and careless, though considering she was also 14 at the that time it should've been expected, this happens with teenage characters often.
she was actually writen at first not to be to well liked. Kind of a brat. It is what made her arch so good. From most hated to most loved. I hated her at first, now Asoka is my favorite charter
She's one of my favorites. But at the beggining she stalled as a character, mainly for being to childish for the universe - even considering how young aged she was introduced as Anakin's padawan. Fortunately, like all great characters, she evolved and it's now in my top 10 Star Wars Universe force wielders characters (which includes not only the Jedi and Sith/other dark users, but also the underrated Nightsisters - which also used the light side of the force amongst the dark side for their own egoistic interests. If not for Grievus slaying most of the nighsisters, Dooku would have died earlier)
As a Togruta, she also has extremely thick skin, allowing her to withstand several blaster bolts. This is also the reason she wears considerably less armor compared to Anakin or Obi-Wan during the Clone Wars.
Ashoka is so awesome. Definitely one of my favorites. And like a lot of people I hated her in the beginning. Glad it was cannon when they declared her one of the strongest characters ever
Generally speaking, since Dave Filoni controls executive level development and writing and he stated that she's basically the most powerful Jedi of the Darth Vader/Palpatine period, that's what she is. Unless future development upends Darth Vader's power (probably 0.0001% chance,) considering he's a money maker, it's safe to say, she is factually the most powerful of light force duelists.
She crosses paths with Luke on the Mandalorian. Luke prowess with the light saber is already very evolved. Taking in accound is using the green blade, which means not anakin's saber but the one he built most likely over ghost force obi-wan guidance, he is soon to become more powerful in saber combat than Ashoka (the best light force wielder introduced on the Star Wars Universe since Qui-Gon Jin - Yup, I like her more than Windu, another obsolete and dogmatic jedi, responsible for the rise of the sith alongside yoda - both still living in the middle-ages of Jedi/Sith wars unable to adapt the order to current times, causing the order to always be one step behind sith plans)
Of the new canon Ahsoka is definitely my favorite character. I love seeing her from Snips to the Sage like character at the end of rebels. Her fight against Vader is a top 5 moment in fictional history to me
Let’s not forget that at her age, in season 7, she was able to hold Maul back in that ship while he was full thrusting the engines. Even being shot at at the same time. The only reason he got away was she had to let him go.
Maul never intended to kill her. Like he did with Ezra, Maul objective was to turn her to his side and get even with the emperor. I have no doubt Maul did refrain with those two, despite the emotional chaos he is.
With the power of the daughter embedded in her there might be a chance that ahsoka could have slow, stopped or revert aging so she can continue to help protect others throughout the galaxy including all of her surviving friends from clone wars and rebels and stay alive with quick healing abilities
Ahsoka has always been great , i would say she should be recorded in the jedi archives of the jedi order. To be able to hang with a sith lord like maul, even if he wasnt going all out , still is pretty darn good. Plus she was still a teenager, he had been a sith lord for way longer than she had been alive
Maul actually respected her & had things in common with her. Like them both being cast out of their repective orders. He didn't want to fight or kill her. He wanted her by his side. Mad respect from a sworn enemy
Just because she was overpowered and disarmed on the light sabre level by Maul doesnt undo the fact that she outsmarts him and holds him up when he claims he wants to fall to his death. she completely overpowers his existential will with the force after having turned the tables on him. she also lands a headshot on vader and kamikazees that fight to take him down, even if she has to go down with him. she breaks the ground and it does give out under him...
7:50 The issue here is Vader's knowledge level never comes close to Darth Sidious. His actual force potential is higher even w/ the mangled body. If Sidious was able to get Anakins body it was over for the universe.
While Ashoka is no slouch, she is not above Obi Wan’s tier. In no way can she beat Anakin in RotS. Obi Wan is THE Master in Form III. And even when he was old and no longer in his physical prime, he beat Maul basically instantly.
exactly. He killed maul "twice", cut the nightbrother in half first, as padowan, and only took a couple of seconds to (finally) kill maul already at an advanced age. we still don't even know if she's able to train to become a force ghost - but I'm sure Disney will do it when the time to capitalize on it arrives.
One of the best things about her character was seeing her grow, go from being an underdog to being almost OP. You're rooting for her the whole time so when she starts really kicking butt it's satisfying.
It’s understandable, her master was the most powerful warrior of the Jedi, and she has the life energy of the daughter, coupled with the connection to the force that comes with it.
where do you think she got her crystals? she defeated him and purified the crystals which, after buildind two new sabers, presented a white plasma color. ;)
If Ahsoka can beat Anakin, it would be in the same way Obi-Wan bested Anakin in Mustafar : by knowing Anakin’s fighting style in-and-out and exploiting his recklesness...
ashoka was almost killed when facing anakin/darth vader, was not ezra pulling her out from the future. kind of messy history here, as it should begun an alternative reality alongside the main story, as she's not no more at the reality where she fought vader and wasn't killed just by the said fine, but obtuse, line...
I disagree. Even in her current state, the best feat she has is sort of holding her own against Vader. She still died in the original timeline. As of the last episode in Rebels, I still think she loses to Dooku in ROTS, purely based on Force powers. She has incredible swordsmanship, but she hasn't shown any sort of proficiency in the Force. Anakin was known to sort of, well, use the Force as a sledgehammer. Therefore, while I think that they are probably close to equals as duelists, Anakin still has a large edge in Force powers.
@@pulsargaming3605 she’s literally held back Sidious’ with fire, held a starship in place that was trying to take off, turned off the lightsabers of her opponents , and has literally used the force to manuver through a group of fighters hundreds of feet in the air while taking out enemies along the way. Shes also been able to deflect entire clone squadrons worth of blaster shots coming at her at once by using the force to anticipate where they’re be. She’s shown to be able to use force push’s, pulls, and other basic attacks at a high ability too. A lot of the way she uses the force in combat is to host her agility and speed, which is different than force bum rushing someone but still a powerful feat. So yeah the very fact she was able to hang with Vader the way she did shows she’s stronger than Anakin. And just because she uses the force differently than just direct attacks doesn’t mean she hasn’t shown massive feats in the force.
@@joshcollins8946 Bruh no Anakin would also give Vader a very good fight to. Just because Vader is more powerful does not mean he would stomp Anakin. Anakin is also in the top tier to. U do know that Anakin can do all of the things u mentioned Ahsoka doing right. Anakin has better precog than Ahsoka so Idk why you mentioned her anticipating attacks when he is literally top tier in that category being the chosen one. Her disarming the inquisitors is something any jedi can do on her level its not regularly used because most times we see opponents on even ground fighting each other. Anakin could have disarmed them to. Anakin is a better pilot than Ahsoka tho so Idk why you are mentioning pilot feats. Also Anakin bolsters his agility and strength constantly during combat tho like literally almost every jedi does it. And Anakin does it at a very high level being stated to be the most physically gifted of the Jedi. The only things Ahsoka has done that Anakin has not is deflecting laser bilts and deflecting Sidious' lightning. Those are just skillfull uses of the force compared to Anakin. Anakin could also do those feats if he used the force more often but those feats dont put Ahsoka above Anakin.
@Roger the Space Marine No it is not topic that hurts. Just because Anakin is the chosen one does not mean that he immediately is above everyone. He has the potential to be all powerful yes but he never achieved and reach that level. Anakin by ROTS is the third most powerful Jedi under Windu and Yoda. Ahsoka is in the same league as Anakin being able to fight Vader who is stronger than Anakin and put up a good fight. Anakin is not all powerful and if u think so then you missed the entire point of Vader's fall.
I, of course was part of the majority who hated ahoska, but I’m so glad that she is a canon character in the world of Star Wars. Besides being fleshed out herself, they gave us a side of a skin we barely got to see, we got to see how emotional he was not just with padame. We got to see more of how the Jedi Order failed to truly help a akin and ahoska herself. I truly wish the series got at least 8 seasons because I wasn’t ready to see the whole show end so abruptly, especially knowing Filoni had lots of plans for the Duo. Sad face, but I am glad to see a character I thought would be average turn out to be basically in every sense of the word OP
Do people forget that Anakin as the chosen one was the only being capable of replacing the Father with the capability to keep both the daughter and son in check? So how does having the daughter’s life force make her more powerful than Anakin. I love Ahsoka as a character and she is indeed powerful, but the daughter and son had pure force power and yet Anakin was able to control both at the same time.
@@KeyIssues not really. it does mark a turning point, however. The skywalkers are brut force in all ways, Ashoka is very powerful but lacks the potential to achieve the power Anakin showed dealing with both daughter and son. And I do love Ashoka's character, a bit dull in the beginning, but a must after evolving during the clone wars episodes. After order 66 she, ben (underrated character in many ways, but some justice was made on the kenobi's series where he defeats anakin in duel again, showing he's stronger also with the force) and yoda were the strongest light side force wielders on the galaxy.
I always thought ahsoka tano connection to light side of force was strengthened by her revival by daughter of mortis arc hence why that mystical owl follows her around. And she would be able to obtain light side force powers we've never seen before. Hopefully they will finally answer this in ahsoka tv series.
why people despised her at first? Im not understanding that sentiment at all. I watched her since Clone Wars movie & I saw her realistic jedi growth. Being trained by Anakin the chosen one and having part of the daughter's soul inside her is such an awesome storyline for one of the best Star Wars characters in all star wars lore.
I have liked Ahsoka from the moment she stepped off the shuttle in Christophsis. Yes, her character was a bit comical at first but she was like 14! She is a badass. Definitely one of the best light saber duelists there is. I hope moving forward we get to see her full force wielding capabilities. I would also like to see how she continued to develop her force wielding abilities after she left the order. It would also be great to see her return to her home world of Shili even if just for a short visit at some point. We haven't seen her interact with her own people much. I know in the book she becomes friends with a Tagruta bar owner and we see her saving some Tagruta from the Zygerian slavers but it would be cool to see more Tagruta lore. There have been a number of force sensitive Tagruta in Star Wars history. She seems like the perfect vehicle to explore this interesting near human species.
I get she’s Filonis love child but that doesn’t mean she’s more powerful than Anakin/Vader. Even at half his potential, Vader beat her. I’d say she reached a similar level but Anakin still edges her out.
Literally no one said she's stronger than either Anakin or Vader. She is explicitly weaker than Vader. She nearly lost to him while he wasn't at his full potential (though I wouldn't go as far as to say he was at half lmao). But she did put up a really good fight, to the point Vader had to go all out and still wasn't able to get the upper hand quickly enough.
I hope we see her at some point surpassing Anakin in the force and as a fight, people are so sacred of the thought of any character being stronger than Vader, because, apparently, it would be a liability to Luke’s story arc. Just because you are more powerful than someone doesn’t mean you have to go and beat them up, if Ahsoka was stronger at some point than Vader, she could simply be focusing on more pressing matters that require her attention, knowing full well someone was already destined to beat her master. Also people, stop being so loyal to the prophesy of the chosen one, its just a silly story and Anakin is extremely talented in the force, it doesn’t mean nobody good can’t be stronger with it than him.
I will admit that people give anakin to much credit sometimes but he was stronger than all most all of the members of the Jedi council the only people that were stronger than him at the time of rots are probably mace and yoda. And by the time he’s at his peak as Vader I don’t think hardly anyone could stand a chance he was the chosen one which gave the potential to be the most powerful being ever in starwars cannon and he was closest to that as Vader. I Believe he was a little lower or on par with palpatine and the only reason he didn’t kill him was because he knew he was very vulnerable to lightning
@@jennas9033 so why didn't she use the force and just grab it from her? on the other hand luke ravishes a dozen of dark troopers in seconds. note he's using a green blade, meaning he's already using the saber build by him with force ghost kenobi's guidence. The same saber used to rescue Solo and to overtake his own father dueling. so... Luke is still the stronger. At the time building a temple, his own academy, to restore, or sord of, the jedi order. Ashoka is one of the most powerful characters on all star wars universe, but even the emperor feared him as he foresaken he could destroy the sith only by himself - I do like ashoka, but the same can't be said about her.
@@KeyIssues he lost because Obi Wan played into his emotions, like he would do in any confrontation, as he did with Asaj Ventress, or Grievous. Obi Wan had a quote I will paraphrase: a fight in merely a distraction and best countered with a larger distraction. Do you think he was merely backing away from Anakin without a plan, he was leading him to where he wanted, to place himself in the best position to leverage his advantage. So no Ahsoka is not better than Obi Wan and certainly not during season 7 of Clone Wars, by Rebels however she if absolutely on his tier, which stands just below the ridiculous: i.e. Yoda, Sidious, Anakin and Luke. During her fight with Vader at no point did she held the upper hand, Vader drove her back to a unfavorable position almost too easily. Then she managed to get a glancing blow on him while he was distracted concentrating on getting the far more important artifact in the sith holocron. And it was not a conscious choice to deal only a glancing blow, Vader noticed, and so the decapitating strike she was going for turned into a glancing blow, not because of Ahsoka but because of Vader. Ahsoka at no point has shown anything that Obi Wan himself was not capable of.
@@KeyIssues force wise, yes. but saber skill we have no indication ROTS anakin is above obi wan (THE master of soresu). I love Ahsoka but shes not there yet - though she has the potential and talent to be. She was losing her fight to Vader and would have died had Ezra not saved her. Obi Wan not only beat Mustafar Vader, he killed the same Maul Ahsoka fought in Rebels and didn’t defeat (in 3 strikes might I add), defeated Greivous and fought Prime Vader in ANH to a standstill, only sacrificing himself to be more useful as a force ghost and to let Luke escape. Plus, Ahsoka’s force mastery isn’t Dooku, Yoda, Palpatine level so she can’t ragdoll Obi Wan like those upper tiers can. Also, her Ataru isn’t a good match up for Soresu, as it can make her extremely tired if she doesn’t put him down quickly, and given Obi Wan is the best at drawing out fights with his defense, it is just a bad matchup for Ahsoka. Not to mention Obi Wan knows her better than almost anyone AND has many more years of experience on his side. She is high master tier, probably Shaak Ti level, maybe a tad more powerful. Obi Wan just has more feats, experience and has been stated to be the orders most skilled form III user. And no, Ahsoka is both weaker in force skill and saber skill (maybe even, I’d give edge to Anakin, though). Plus, the fact he is her master. Anakin is more powerful undoubtably. Still love Ahsoka though, my favorite female character ever.
@@arenbabachanian4809 The notion that Anakin would humiliate Obi-Wan if he were not "emotionally compromised" is laughably wrong. There are multiple statements in canon putting them as complete equals in all respects. They are said to be perfectly matched in strength and skill, and even after receiving a boost from the dark side, Anakin could not overcome Obi-Wan in the Force, as the scene in the control room proved. One point that needs to be mentioned is Kenobi did not fight Vader to a draw in ANH. In his canon short story, Time of Death, Kenobi acknowledged that he was greatly outmatched by Vader and on the verge of collapsing before Luke arrived in the hangar.
Just imagine it! 14 year old padawan Ahsoka coming face to face with the terrifying General Grievous, and not backing down! The same Grievous that made more than one Jedi Master sh@t their pants, at the mere sight of him! Perhaps she was just too young & naive to know that she should be terrified? The two things i love most about Ahsoka is her unwavering empathy, and her unwavering fearlessness! Throw out saber mastery, and throw out force power. Empathy and Fearlessness alone make her a great Jedi! On the side of light, she is easily my favorite character!
She isn't a Jedi any more remember she left the order shorty after they were apologizing her for framing of the bombing she said she needed time to figure out herself again
Disagree with Ahsoka being on the same tier as Obi Wan by end of the Clone Wars. Kenobi was clearly above her. Not only did he beat Anakin very soon after the battle of Mandalore but he also defeats Maul and Savage at the same time way before this
7:25 - That's based on a couple of rather nebulous assumptions. 1. Assuming that Sidious was a vessel for "all of the Sith" at that time of RotS. 2. Assuming that having the power of "all of the Sith" equates to possessing all Darkside Force energy in existence. 3. That "tearing apart the fabric of the universe" means they possess the power to destroy a universe as opposed to simply a statement on the severity of damage they can cause. I would say the first is rather unlikely considering we see Sidious casually dominate a Vader much closer to his prime during the OT era while the latter two are unconfirmed speculation.
Qui-Gon and Ashoka were the most refreshing characters introduced in the Star Wars Universe. Ezra Bridger and Kanan Jarrus are nothing but shadows next to those two. Waiting for the second instalment of the canonic game with Cal Kestis. I don't expect much from Cere's (also didn't like her that much) but Cal still can have a great history ahead of him, mostly if he crosses paths with other already introduced characters like Obi-Wan, Ashoka (they share about the same age) and why not Luke, who's 13 years younger...
I'm going to tell everybody how it is because I've been around this my whole life Ahsoka is one tier below Darth Vader when it comes from for physical power and dueling now Luke Skywalker and Ahsoka can easily even match each other but Ahsoka does have more experience than Luke but you can get much more stronger because of his raw connection and he is naturally gifted with the force far more than Ahsoka so all I can say is older Luke like in his forties will easily defeat Ahsoka in a duel but if it's Revenge Return of the Jedi Luke vs Ahsoka Ahsoka will definitely be able to beat him in a duel not kill him but beat them in his duel
Ahsoka has the power in the force from the daughter after absorbing her life essence, while Luke isn’t even as tuned to the force than Anakin, so I think they are equally matched in terms of potential, with Ahsoka being miles ahead in terms of experience.
ROTJ Luke is better than Ahsoka. He beat matched Vader and the novelization says they’re tied. Meanwhile Ahsoka was easily beaten by Vader. She’s older than him yes, but he’s more talented. In this case Talent beats Expierence. Ahsoka is special because of her character, not her strength. She started as a whiny teen and grew into an independent woman/guide.
Something interesting I noticed is, could Ahsoka using Tutaminus on Palpatine's force fire be a bit of a reference to Starkiller doing the same with Palpatine's force lightning? They're both apprentices of Anakin, dual wielding lightsabers in the same style, both in some weird middle ground where they are neither Sith nor Jedi, so having one reference the other would make sense
She doesn't have the DAUGHTER'S POWERS THOUGH. Every one here except a few who listened apparently didn't hear the whole thing. By your logic does Rey now have Ben Solo's powers? The answer is no. The daughter gave her life to save Ashoka, not level her up in power
@@TheSYPHERIA hmmm, I guess I wasn't there to ask the daughter what she did. But I'm sure there is a lot of precedent on force life transfer to draw any of these conclusions...right?
@@TheSYPHERIA I think you are correct as in the daughter did not provide any special abilities to Ahsoka Tano. However, I think it made her connection to the force way stronger. Moreover, it might have increased her potential. We can see her potential/ future self in the ancient Jedi temple when she was asked to leave Anakin to achieve it. I actually believe that she might become immortal as she will return to Mortis in some way as she is the only conduit of the light side of the force remaining.
I sincerely believe that she has the life Force inside of her ... otherwise she wouldn't have been able to survive against Vader. This may give her some abilities, have a longer lifespan, grow in wisdom etc. Basically like the Daughter.
She saved star wars for me back when clone wars came out...before her quigon(sorry for misspell)...she is the living legacy of anny...their trio made me laugh trough some really bad years, I love them...seeing her woop in mandelorean had this 30 year old so happy
Qui-Gon is my favorite character for what he represents. Ashoka's would have grow a lot more having such a master, she's awesome and evolved so much in so harsh conditions. The best character introduced on canon after Qui-Gon, imo
Asoka never surpassed anakin, he was always the chosen one, even when he turned to Darth Vader. Not even Luke can take that position, even as strong as he was in legends he was never more powerful than anakin. That's from George Lucas himself.
Ahsoka is one of my favorites. I think she is more powerful than shown & would like it shown. I'd like for Ahsoka to be used more in the future as well as others like her who are both gray jedi & one with the force rather than simply light & dark side force wielders (jedi & sith).
6:47 How is that Small City level? i watched The Film Theorist video but the guy never gives an energy value of any sort, and putting his numbers into an potential energy calculator only gives 147 Tons of TNT. For that feat to be Small City lvl Vader would need to generate an energy of at least 1 Megaton of TNT,
Barris couldn’t keep up with Anakin.... He wanted her alive to free Ahsoka, so he had to really restrain himself. If Anakin were forced to do it, he would have killed her within seconds
@@KaylumHSQ not true. The force of the Daughter within Ahsoka would be a bit too much for Vader to overcome. A grey Jedi such as Ahsoka has powers and abilities beyond what Vader could ever have.
Ahsoka is below Anakin and Vader Edit: Bariss was mind controlled in that scenario and not using the dark side either against Ahsoka and soundly beat her in their second fight. Anakin was actually an expert in two blade combat though at least in Legends. Grievous is confirmed holding back against even then by Dave Filoni. Maul is below Obi-wan though especially since Maul used a weapon he didn't use for over a decade now. Vader at this point is arguably above Anakin as there are statements to suggest Anakin is stronger for example Ahsoka mentions Maul would lose to Anakin soundly and Maul is confirmed below Dooku in his prime despite this though he and Ahsoka are close in their fight. Also that is Vader's calculation 12 years before he fought Ahsoka. Good video but i disagree in a lot
Tales of the Jedi settled it in my head with how much brutal training Anakin put Ahsoka through on top of her tremendous amount of battle experience during the Clone Wars. She had natural affinity for the force but the amount of training and experience is what truly makes her special. This is very different from someone like Luke, who had very little training (albeit from two of the best when in their primes) and not a ton of experience acting AS a jedi during the GCW. Ahsoka is certainly, post Order 66, the most powerful known lightsaber combatant in Star Wars.
Vader went easy on her, because she was like a daughter to him...and remember, his motivation for everything, was his love of his family. This is the same reason why he went easy on Luke.
Where did you get that? Vader becomes more powerful the worse he feels, and Ahsoka is a major part of who he was as Anakin Skywalker, whom he now hates to death. So after she refused to get out of his sight, he was pretty fucking mad. Also Ahsoka was not only stalling to let Ezra and Kanan leave, but wasn’t actually trying to kill her master, obviously.
@@neitherlink6612 She got beat and pushed off the temple in less than a minute. If that’s not total defeat plus humiliation I don’t know what is, you can’t possibly think Ashoka is anywhere in the stratosphere of Vader’s power.
@@alecthomas7408 she literally knocked him back at one point and nearly cut his head of. Of course she was defeated. It was by no means a stomp though. Also what makes you think length is a good criterium to judge fights?
Sorry she is not more powerful then Anakin. Vader even at his peak was only 80 percent of what Palpatine was. If he had stayed in the light and reached his full potential he would have been twice as powerful as Palpatine meant this chick would have been totally destroyed by a full potential Anakin. So while she held her own against Vader he had but a fraction of the connection he would of had with the force had he not been mostly mechanical.
A few details you missed: -During Ahsoka’s bombing arc in Season 5, she fights Barriss in the Warehouse, who absolutely destroys her (Granted Barriss was more familiar with the Warehouse layout) -Barriss isn’t really able to compete with Anakin, as he has her on the retreat most of the time, and when he actually taps into the Dark Side he beats her pretty quickly. -Maul is able to pretty comfortably defeat Ahsoka (after being tortured and imprisoned by Sidious for a while) and yet Obi Wan is able to defeat both Savage and Maul at once. Ahsoka is still much weaker than Obi Wan at the end of the Clone Wars.
-I didn't miss this, Ahsoka only had one saber at the time and Barriss had a dark side amp and used the environment to win -She is able to compete with Anakin in dueling - that is very blatant. -Obi-Wan gets bullied by Maul in every duel they have except their last. Maul holds back against Kenobi and even in the duel where Obi-Wan "wins" Maul one shots him with a force push after Obi-Wan cuts off Savage's arm. Obi-Wan is NOT relative to Maul at all.
@@KeyIssues Ahsoka lost the Duel with Barris because she was running for days, she was tired and drained, emotionally drained as well. Reckon she had little to eat...
@@KeyIssues in the first obi wan duel against maul in the cw on the ship obi wan makes maul look lika fool until maul unbalances him with evoking his rage and makes obi tap in the dark side and go offensive which isnt rly good for him so he gets overpowered, then when he fights maul and savage at the same time, at first before savagae kills adi gallia, he 1v1s maul for some time and they seem to be very equal, even obi lands one kick on maul, then in a 1v2 he lands a kick on maul, while maul ragdolls him with the force twice, but absolutely obliterates savage, also forgot to add than during the fisrt duel on theh ship (when ventress rescues obi wan) he got rly beat up by the two brothers prior, so i have reason to believe that in the cw maul and obi are each other’s equals, with maul probably being stronger in the force a bit, but obi compesnating with his slightly superior dueling skills, there is literally no way that maul is superior to obi wan in cw, if they battle i might give even 6/10 to obi since he is a smarter fighter, in rebels he is obviously visibly more powerful than maul. The only time that Maul was truly more powerful than obi was in phantom menace, when obi won cuz of luck/plot armor. Since maul came back to the living, he was obi’s equal at best. Just my opinion

in canon ashoka is slightly above obi-wan. in legends Ashoka > Mace Windu. And yes i am implying that sidious was clearly holding back against mace even with maces vaapad. Here me out!!! If dave said himself that the only person during that time that could match ashoka blow for blow is Vader and Sidious outside of starkiller. That means that Ashoka in rebels is >= Count Dooku and Yoda >> Ashoka
@7632ios Yes she is. And rebels even clarifies that. 😂 She was able to block Sidious’s force fire in the wbw after fighting Darth Vader. Its not a debate.
Ahsoka being Obi Wan tier at 17 is impressive on its own. Her feats in s7 were some of my favorite in the franchise. I hope Mandalorian kind of... confirms how powerful she is and doesn't downplay her, and I doubt it will with Filoni helming her episode.
To be fair, Obi-Wan, Force potential-wise, was stated to be below average for a Jedi. However, I don't think Ahsoka beats Kenobi in a duel either. I think she probably has an edge in Force power but loses outright in dueling knowledge. Her and Maul are pretty much equal, with Maul having a slight advantage, but Kenobi was able to take on Maul AND Savage at the same time and win.
Idk if it was said outright, but I think one of the reasons Yoda placed Ahsoka with Anakin was because of her natural power and abilities and how it looked to her arrogance and hubris, similar to Anakin, and he felt that Anakin was best suited to let that go
Obi-Wan bested Maul in Phantom Menace, Ahsoka nearly stalemated Maul in season 7 clone wars. Maybe the rebels and mandalorian version Ahsoka is stronger than jedi knight Obi-Wan, but Master kenobi is a couple of tiers above Ahsoka.
@@thomasrosendahl2783 it's said in multiple sources that maul was not at his best in the ahsoka fight because he was hoping to fight anakin and obi wan so he wasn't interested in the fight. A weakened Ahsoka doing Tutaminis from Palpatine's Force Fire was a nice touch. I wonder if she hadn't fought Vader, would she be able to redirect his lightning. I know Sidious would outright merk her in a light saber duel but she'd do better than most people facing Sidious because of her agility. If the Daughter were to give her all of her strength, she would be around Sidious' level for sure in terms of power but the Daughter was dying and only had a small amount to transfer
@@shaunessyalmeida2830 really? anakin delt by himself both with father, daughter and son and was asked to take father's place. so where really lays the strenght?
@Roger the Space Marine I agree, Filoni definitely lets his fanboyism affect the series. Imo Ahsoka should have been killed by Vader. He even said they had to kill Maul because he is too big a player to have around during the original trilogy, yet he left Ahsoka alive, and it makes even less sense for her being alive in the sequel trilogy and not show up. Like Maul has no business with the Rebels, yet Ahsoka was a apart of them and for some reason didn’t help them or Luke.
Her only weakness is her physical stature, but she more than compensates for that with her form, fearlessness, agility, speed, and creative tactical decision making skills (like breaking an inquisitor's saber rather than a prolonged duel). For these reasons, she is a damn badass...period! When I first saw her on Mando S2, Ep 5, the windows in my house rattled, you could physically feel her power unlike any other Jedi except maybe Anakin/Vader himself. After that, i decided to catch up and watch the clone wars and rebels to learn her backstory. I quickly realized that all the hype was well deserved.

You are just trying to defend bad writing.
@@weeaboo-warrior I mean maybe she was holding back while also underestimating. After she gets disarmed, and starts fighting a little more seriously, Ashoka beat her pretty easily at the end.
I doubt ashoka could even match Obi-wan, if on opposite sides. As a reminder, Vader didn't fight her with all his knowledge, as it seems he wanted to humiliate her before the final blow - a trait where vader, but most maul, are very arrogant - and just didn't kill her due to a "cheat", that being Ezra pulling her out of combat from the future - which makes us raise the question: does ashoka really should be living on the star wars universe or in a parallel one, such was the way her destiny was changed? Nonetheless, she's no doubt one of the most powerful force wielders (she's not a jedi, as she turned - and with all reason - the back to a falling and obsolete jedi order - many thanks to yoda, who is seen always as the wiser, but was not able in hundreds of years to adapt the order to new times ending so well fooled and clouded by the sith, probably way before Darth Plagueis, getting the jedi order destroyed or disbaded due is poor judgment on how to face the Sith, always following the "old" ways forgetting to reforge the order from the inside); being much more controlled, strong with the force and an outstandind dualist, it would only be a matter of time to be rivaled only by Yoda, Vader & Palpatine (as Dooku also met is destiny with both anakin and his own saber during the emperor's staged kidnaping), even overcoming the emotional Maul, a possible still alive Windu - but old "Ben" would be always a wildcard, although they wouldn't go against each other; one more curiosity, in the mandalorian she seems, age, experience..., more wise than Luke, but also less powerful on the force already - maybe as a dualist too. Great character, and I do have high hopes about her Disney series. I was never a great follower of Ezra, so it would be interesting to me to see, with the also expected debut of Jedi: Survivor, her crossing paths with Cal Kestis - as it seems Cere's out of the picture from what we can "read" of the game's trailer and from some gossips here and there.

Ahsoka in the Mandalorian is always holding back. She wants information, not destruction.
Well mando kinda backed off after there play fight..... I think lowkey he knew she wasn't no jedi to mess with..... I mean Anakin is her master lol
Right, i sense she has more room to grow, if it is done right. She is already very powerful -but the difference is we have watched her slowly earn that power.
Craving for the release of her show
How did people not like her at first? I loved the character from the beginning
Literally
As a Togruta, she also has extremely thick skin, allowing her to withstand several blaster bolts. This is also the reason she wears considerably less armor compared to Anakin or Obi-Wan during the Clone Wars.
Being a human must suck in Star Wars, they basically had no benefit, and die earlier than other species.

The only problem is that she isn't a Jedi
I think she’s a little too OP but then again she has all her hands and feet
It’s understandable, her master was the most powerful warrior of the Jedi, and she has the life energy of the daughter, coupled with the connection to the force that comes with it.
@@neitherlink6612 In season 1 she showed up and hold her own against Ventress lol.

The ad placement 😮💨😮💨😮💨
I don't think she's necessarily above Anakin, but maybe at the same level
Same I do think Anakin would still beat her tho after a hard fought battle.
I put her on par with Maul, Dooku and Mace by Rebels, just below Sidious, Vader and Yoda.
That’s fair.

Not mace or foolish and maul
I still believe Maul would defeat Ahsoka in a good fight

I’ve always loved Ahsoka, she represents the underdog in every category you place her,she is the embodiment of finding your own path 💯❤️👑
There’s a difference between potential and actual power.
Great video. I kind of feel in light of this, she was brought down a few levels in her Mandolorian episode.
Not really.. the chick she fought was trained by the sisters.
And remember she was most likely not trying that hard, because she wants information. She doesn't wanna cause chaos and destruction
Well after seeing the most recent Mandalorian, she's still pretty fuckin powerful :)
LMAO You saw that fight against normal human with beskar stick?
Above OBI-One ??? What the man who beat the chosen one 😂😂
Anakin lost because he was emotionally compromised. He would wash Obi-Wan easily in a right state of mind.
@@aacm1259 Great points! Tbh a lot of things he says can be countered.
By the end of clone wars ahsoka has been my favorite jedi since i need more of her stories asap
She isn't a Jedi any more remember she left the order shorty after they were apologizing her for framing of the bombing she said she needed time to figure out herself again
Ashoka Tano. Is one of my fav Star Wars characters. I’m glad to hear that there are plans and a series z as bout her !
Disagree with Ahsoka being on the same tier as Obi Wan by end of the Clone Wars. Kenobi was clearly above her. Not only did he beat Anakin very soon after the battle of Mandalore but he also defeats Maul and Savage at the same time way before this
She’s probably my Favorite Star Wars Character her growth as a character is admirable!
I absolutely love Ashoka and I was rlly happy she got into live action. Tbh I’m actually rlly surprised ventress isn’t in live action yet.

I always loved Ahsoka since her debut......I never hated her, I always enjoy seeing new characters.

They're both apprentices of Anakin, dual wielding lightsabers in the same style, both in some weird middle ground where they are neither Sith nor Jedi, so having one reference the other would make sense
Nice video, she also got the sister's life force so...is she the embodiment of the light side...which in theory should boost her quite a lot!
She doesn't have the DAUGHTER'S POWERS THOUGH. Every one here except a few who listened apparently didn't hear the whole thing. By your logic does Rey now have Ben Solo's powers? The answer is no. The daughter gave her life to save Ashoka, not level her up in power

I actually believe that she might become immortal as she will return to Mortis in some way as she is the only conduit of the light side of the force remaining.

No, he didn’t. Which is evident by the multiple statements from guidebooks and Dave Filoni
He clearly said to her, and I quote, "Then you will die". If that's holding back, then I don't know what is not trying to kill her.
Where did you get that? Vader becomes more powerful the worse he feels, and Ahsoka is a major part of who he was as Anakin Skywalker, whom he now hates to death.
A few details you missed:
-During Ahsoka’s bombing arc in Season 5, she fights Barriss in the Warehouse, who absolutely destroys her (Granted Barriss was more familiar with the Warehouse layout)
-Barriss isn’t really able to compete with Anakin, as he has her on the retreat most of the time, and when he actually taps into the Dark Side he beats her pretty quickly.
-I didn't miss this, Ahsoka only had one saber at the time and Barriss had a dark side amp and used the environment to win
-She is able to compete with Anakin in dueling - that is very blatant.

He was also trying to bring her to the dark side. The only reason why he lost was because of his arrogance. So ahsoka was not even close to maul when he was going all out.
@@NatrixNate of course. Rebels Ahsoka is comparable but inferior to Vader. Mandalorian Ahsoka is probably comparable to Palpatine ROTJ. But still inferior.
This is an excellent video and as someone who’s and up and coming power scaling channel it’s super refreshing to see such great content, especially Star Wars very good stuff my guy✊🏻🔥
Ahsoka is powerful but to say she is stronger then Anakin/Vader is a bit of overstatement
When you fight Inquisitors, Maul, Vader, and Palpatine in one day, you're the GOAT.
Real fans refuse to recognize that 7-9 exist
WHY DOES EVERYONE SKIP AHSOKA'S PART WHERE SHE LEAVES THE SITH TEMPLE IN THE EPISODE AFTER HER FIGHT WITH VADER.......IT CLEARLY SHOWS VADER WAS NOT ABLE TO KILL HER IN REBELS SEASON 2 EPISODE 22 AT 20:50... THEY BOTH LEFT THE TEMPLE
That was future her who went back to the past. Ezra saved her life.
You know what makes me happy??Ahsoka and Luke exist in the same timeline.
That small amount was enough!
@@shaunessyalmeida2830 really? anakin delt by himself both with father, daughter and son and was asked to take father's place. so where really lays the strenght?
Where are you getting that she is alive during the rise of skywalker?
I heard it was recently confirmed by filoni that she was still alive during TROS idk how tru this is tho considering I saw it on a Reddit post
She won’t surpass Anakin in power but I think maybe most of the Jedi council
@@jennas9033 yea I think she is around there. I think Anakin Yoda Obi Wan Plo Koon Mace Dooku are all more powerful but I think she would surpass basically everyone else on the council
are we just going to forget the Mortis Arc?... Where the Sister basically gives Ahsoka her power. Like the Brother who was the embodiment of the Dark Side, the Sister was the embodiment of the Light. Therefore, it is right to assume that Ahsoka literally is the embodiment of the Light Side of the Force, essentially becoming one of the most powerful Force wielders in canon history, being second only to perhaps Darth Sidious.
Apparently not powerful enough to easily beat a woman with a spear.
While clearly holding back. Good call! You’re so smart!
@@KeyIssues Her face looked like she was straining. While logically she should have no problem with her, saying she was holding back is head canon. She was even disarmed. It’s a bad showing, you can call it an outlier, but you can’t get around it.
@@weeaboo-warrior Yeah, it's head canon that she wasn't going for fatal blows and only disarming ones against a person she needed information from. Yeah, total head canon!
@@KeyIssues Not trying to kill doesn’t mean she should have problems. She could just hold her down with the force or just casually disarm or over power her. It’s like saying an adult wrestling with a 5 year should have trouble because they aren’t trying to kill them. Just no. A power gap of that magnitude makes that meaningless.
