That has been given by many Muslims in the comment sections of his videos. I love that he exposes things but his adab and Ahklaq must get better. I have even posted that the ones that need to hear his message. Aren't more likely to listen because of this. There is a reason why this behavior is not proper for Muslims. One of the benefits of Islamic manners is that it makes the listener more apt to pay attention. It's sad that it has continued. The thing is the spubs do this and he is responding in kind. I am a strong supporter of your channel. But if you do not realise the magnitude of the threat of liberal ideologies, then you are probably out of touch with the reality of the Muslim youth. Living in both KSA and Pakistan, the influence that young Muslims in my community had was almost entirely from liberal ideologies. Very few, strictly religious youths were influenced by the madkhali mindset. So the comparison between fighting liberal ideologies and madkhalis is incorrect. Secondly, "stating the obvious" as Daniel did was extremely important and benefited many people I know. His arguments may be based on common sense, but people lack that, and Daniel has contributed immensely to fill the void. We will be looking forward to you refuting liberal ideologies based on classical texts, but that does not take away from the efforts of any individual who is working with a different approach towards the same goal.

Am I Ashari, Maturidi or just a Muslim? It is a misconception to believe that Muslims literally follow Imam al-Ash'ari or Imam al-Maturidi in the Articles of Faith. That would be contradictory, because the Ahl al-Sunnah believes that every Muslim should research the various articles of faith for himself if one is able to do so. Therefore, it is more correct to say that Muslims believe in articles of faith that come from the Quran and Sunnah, but accept their wording and interpretation as done by Imam al-Ash'ari and Imam al-Maturidi.

Bro Haji - with all due respect from some much older than you. You are a good brother with good intentions. You also have sound knowledge of the books which makes you strong in debating. Your strength is in debating the shias and refuting the murjiha. Keep your effort in these fields. Refuting or attacking dawah man and Daniel does not help anyone cause. Did these refutations benefit people seeking knowledge? Very little and all comments tend to approve that. Take it as a principle. Show your own evidence of your manhaj and what you think is the right opinion based on what you know. Normally that should be enough. If someone refutes without much knowledge do not bother. If another person refutes with different evidences it would be worth considering his argument. Praise be to Allah. The Ash'aris are a sect named after Imam Abu'l-Hasan al-Ash'ari (may Allah have mercy on him). Al-Ash'ari went through three stages - as stated by Ibn Taymiyah in Majmoo 'al-Fataawa, 4/72 - which can be summarized as follows: a Mu'tazili stage; then following Ibn Kilaab; then following Ahl al-Sunnah, mainly Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal. Al-Ash'ari clearly stated his last position in his three books: Risaalah ila Ahl al-Thaghr, Maqaalaat al-Islaamiyyeen and al-Ibaanah. The one who follows al-Ash'ari at this stage is in agreement with Ahl al-Sunnah wa'l-Jamaa'ah in most matters. Whoever follows his path in the second phase goes against al-Ash'ari himself, and goes against Ahl al-Sunnah in many cases. Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen said in al-Fatawa, 3/338: Those later scholars who named themselves after Abu'l-Hasan al-Ash'ari followed the second of his phases of 'aqeedah. They followed the method of misinterpreting most of the divine attributes, and this only confirmed the seven attributes mentioned in the next line of verse: "Always alive, All-knowing, able (to do all things), He speaks, He wills, He hears and He sees." They also disagreed with Ahl al-Sunnah on how to understand these attributes. The Standing Committee issued a fatwa (No. 6606, Part 3/220): The Ash'aris are not a kuffar, rather they have made a mistake in their interpretation of some of the divine attributes. On this basis, it is better for a Muslim to study Islamic knowledge and sharee'ah only with scholars known for their knowledge and sound faith ('aqeedah), and to stay away from those who follow bid'ah and counteract. Ahl al-Sunnah, including the Ash'aris. This is something that is easy to do - praise be to Allah - because the means of learning have become readily available to all people. The knowledge of the scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah is available through many means, such as Islamic tapes, books and leaflets; there are Islamic bulletin boards and sites on the Internet, and there are many easy ways to access knowledge - praise be to Allah. Daniel is hardcore antagonist of this idea judging from his posts on Facebook and Muslim Skeptic articles. Still he joined him. Daniel joined brother Gabriel although both differ significantly on certain issues. Daniel is not Ash'ari but still he brought an Ash'ari Moroccan Imam to talk about issues on Taliban conquest of Afghanistan. So, him going to Dawah Man's panel actually not endorsing that guy. He uses other platforms to spread his message even if he doesn't agree with any of them. And you saying that the name Alasna Institute doesn't make sense- is very childish. Daniel explained frequently the meaning of that name and you intentionally chose to belittle it. If you want to be taken as someone credible, then behave that way. But anyway, criticism is necessary. I am a strong supporter of your channel. But if you do not realise the magnitude of the threat of liberal ideologies, then you are probably out of touch with the reality of the Muslim youth. Living in both KSA and Pakistan, the influence that young Muslims in my community had was almost entirely from liberal ideologies. Very few, strictly religious youths were influenced by the madkhali mindset. So the comparison between fighting liberal ideologies and madkhalis is incorrect.
Secondly, "stating the obvious" as Daniel did was extremely important and benefited many people I know. His arguments may be based on common sense, but people lack that, and Daniel has contributed immensely to fill the void. We will be looking forward to you refuting liberal ideologies based on classical texts, but that does not take away from the efforts of any individual who is working with a different approach towards the same goal.

It is a misconception to believe that Muslims literally follow Imam al-Ash'ari or Imam al-Maturidi in the Articles of Faith. That would be contradictory, because the Ahl al-Sunnah believes that every Muslim should research the various articles of faith for himself if one is able to do so.
Therefore, it is more correct to say that Muslims believe in articles of faith that come from the Quran and Sunnah, but accept their wording and interpretation as done by Imam al-Ash'ari and Imam al-Maturidi.

The Ash'aris are a sect named after Imam Abu'l-Hasan al-Ash'ari (may Allah have mercy on him). Al-Ash'ari went through three stages - as stated by Ibn Taymiyah in Majmoo 'al-Fataawa, 4/72 - which can be summarized as follows: a Mu'tazili stage; then following Ibn Kilaab; then following Ahl al-Sunnah, mainly Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal. Al-Ash'ari clearly stated his last position in his three books: Risaalah ila Ahl al-Thaghr, Maqaalaat al-Islaamiyyeen and al-Ibaanah. The one who follows al-Ash'ari at this stage is in agreement with Ahl al-Sunnah wa'l-Jamaa'ah in most matters. Whoever follows his path in the second phase goes against al-Ash'ari himself, and goes against Ahl al-Sunnah in many cases.
Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen said in al-Fatawa, 3/338:
Those later scholars who named themselves after Abu'l-Hasan al-Ash'ari followed the second of his phases of 'aqeedah. They followed the method of misinterpreting most of the divine attributes, and this only confirmed the seven attributes mentioned in the next line of verse:
"Always alive, All-knowing, able (to do all things), He speaks, He wills, He hears and He sees."
They also disagreed with Ahl al-Sunnah on how to understand these attributes.
The Standing Committee issued a fatwa (No. 6606, Part 3/220):
The Ash'aris are not a kuffar, rather they have made a mistake in their interpretation of some of the divine attributes.
On this basis, it is better for a Muslim to study Islamic knowledge and sharee'ah only with scholars known for their knowledge and sound faith ('aqeedah), and to stay away from those who follow bid'ah and counteract. Ahl al-Sunnah, including the Ash'aris. This is something that is easy to do - praise be to Allah - because the means of learning have become readily available to all people. The knowledge of the scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah is available through many means, such as Islamic tapes, books and leaflets; there are Islamic bulletin boards and sites on the Internet, and there are many easy ways to access knowledge - praise be to Allah.
O Allah, teach us that which will benefit us, that will benefit us through that which we learn, and increase in knowledge.

Yeah, that's a mistake from Daniel's side calling him ''ustadh". I myself didn't like him joining this Ikhwani's panel. But Daniel has certain mission regarding dawah. He participates in everyone's panel- not to agree with them but to spread the message of truth. For example, he went to Blogging Theology who a few days ago had said/implied that even a Hindu can go to jannah if he does "enough good". Daniel is hardcore antagonist of this idea judging from his posts on Facebook and Muslim Skeptic articles. Still he joined him. Daniel joined brother Gabriel although both differ significantly on certain issues. Daniel is not Ash'ari but still he brought an Ash'ari Moroccan Imam to talk about issues on Taliban conquest of Afghanistan. So, him going to Dawah Man's panel actually not endorsing that guy. He uses other platforms to spread his message even if he doesn't agree with any of them.
And you saying that the name Alasna Institute doesn't make sense- is very childish. Daniel explained frequently the meaning of that name and you intentionally chose to belittle it. If you want to be taken as someone credible, then behave that way. But anyway, criticism is necessary. No one is infallible- not even Daniel, not even you.
