How can he honestly respond to the questions without looking like an imposter? Daniel checkmated Saajid
Daniel showed a clip of a shaykh you admire, criticing the Saudi government directly, is he also a deviant according to you Saajid? Respond to his arguments instead of calling each other names.
First off, no scholar is infallible. The statement or action of any scholar isn’t proof in of itself. This is a well known basic principle of ahlusunnah.
Secondly, no one said that criticizing the ruler publicly once or twice makes someone a khariji or a deviant. Daniel is taking a few instances/exceptions of what a scholar did in decades and decades of dawah, and is extracting a general principle out of them when he is a layman by his own admission! That’s like saying if a scholar issues a fatwa that someone who is starving in the middle of the desert can eat a little bit of pork to avoid death, then a layman comes along and says that pork is halal. That’s exactly what Daniel is doing here. Show me where did any scholar of ahlusunnah go on a nonstop for weeks on end bashing the rulers by name publicly and making it the sole focus of their dawah??
Thirdly, what names did Saajid call Daniel here?? He just pointed out his dishonesty and foul language. Daniel is the one calling others names.

Three years ago, Shaikh Fahd al-Qadi died in a Saudi prison as a result of medical negligence.
He was arrested in 2016 for a private letter he sent to the Saudi royal court criticizing violations by the Ministry of Education.
He was known for his work on the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.
He was put in prison for advising the ruler PRIVATELY! What will the followers of a certain group tell us next? You can't advise the ruler privately?!
What do you think would be the case if he did it publicly and had people involved.

@@beaniibreen Shaykh Ibn Bâz: This question has been posed several times. It does not belong to the methodology of the Salaf to mention the shortcomings of the rulers from the pulpits. It leads to revolts and that people refrain from hearing and obeying in that which is allowed. It leads to something that only harms and benefits nothing.
Salaf’s followed methodology is to advise him in seclusion, write to him and let the scholars contact him so that they can lead him to that which is good.
The sins should be mentioned without the mentioning of the sinner. Fornication, spirits and interest [all of these] should be condemned without condemning the one who falls into them. It is enough that one condemns the sins and warns against them without mentioning the sinner, regardless if he is the ruler or anybody else.
When the tribulation of ‘Uthmân’s (radhiya Allâhu ‘anh) time broke out, some people said to Usâmah bin Zayd (radhiya Allâhu ‘anh):
“Will you not condemn ‘Uthmân?”
He answered:
“Should I condemn him amongst the people? I will condemn him in seclusion without opening the gate of evil to the people.”
When they initiated the evilness in the time of ‘Uthmân (radhiya Allâhu ‘anh) and condemned him publicly, the tribulation, battles and corruption became a fact. To this day one finds traces of all that. It led to the Fitnah between ‘Alî and Mu’âwiyah. ‘Uthmân and ‘Alî were killed because of it. Many companions and others were killed because of the public condemnation. As a result, the people started hating their ruler and killed him.

The difference between Suliman and Daniel is that, Daniel is just quoting an Aya or quoting explicit stuff from Salaf and scholars about the matter of the rulers or sharia and such, he is just telling us what the Sharia says, it's just that Madkhlis don't like that part of our Deen, which is why they are on the wrong, you can't be picky in the Deen. But Suliman is bringing new understandings of certain subjects that has never been shared by Salaf or scholars.
Brother Sajid, anyone does what you do will be hated, called names, lied on and even physically attacked, may Allah keep you on the right path.

The fact is that the stand of ahl as sunnah ia not clarified in this video .
I dont think that Daniel has made takfir on Muslim ruler, because we can make kufr without being kaafir. He is just pointing out some facts. But he didn’t want to make takfir. And i personally know that even imam Hasan Al Basri has criticized ruler, and insulted them publicly. Daneil is not a khawarij.
But there are real problems in our communities and with our gouvernements, that’s for sure. And we need to know the truth on what’s happening.

"Rulers after me will come who do not follow my guidance and my Sunnah. Some of their men will have the hearts of devils in a human body."
I said, “O Messenger of Allah, what should I do if I live to see that time?” The Prophet said:
تَسْمَعُ وَتُطِيعُ لِلْأَمِيرِ وَإِنْ ضُرِبَ ظَهْرُكَ وَأُخِذَ مَالُكَ فَاسْمَعْ وَأَطِعْ
"You should listen and obey them even if the ruler strikes your back and takes your wealth, even still listen and obey."

Awf ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

There has to be some feedback to the ruler. He can't be just making decisions that affect the majority of the population without any feedback. Indeed we need to be patient with rulers because they definitely have a bigger picture in most cases, but sometimes they're just after things that are detrimental to the core of the ummah.

I used to watch Daniel years back after learning a lot from his papers. They helped bring me closer to islam when I was going through some rough times. Unfortunately once I started watching his videos I just couldn't say the same. His messages are very hateful and aggressive that I believe it does one of the two things 1. Drift people away from Islam. 2. Incite hate in his followers. He is a smart guy but not all of his followers are smart and if people blindly follow him the outcome would be terrifying. As a young Muslim in the "secular" or "liberal" world I want to learn about my faith through positivity and love not hate and negativity. Idk what's the purpose of focusing on just criticizing and debating others instead of focusing on how we can become better Muslims and how to bring our youth closer to the faith instead of further away

There are many scholars who are currently invested in teaching young muslims how to keep up with the liberal world. They are doing what they are good at.
The only way we can prevent islam from being ‘liberalism with a flavor of islam’ is to have more people who can come out and speak the laws of islam without immediately sugar-coating the law with moral principles. But many are afraid to do it and their worries are legit, no hate to them(me included).
The best we can do is not criticize a brother who is going against all odds just to say- all we need is allah and his word, no matter how tough the times are.

While he is a smart man his tone is very hateful and such hate could drive people away from Islam instead of closer. Islam isn't about arguing and criticizing all the time, it's about faith and watching his videos one can easily forget that. When I used to watch his videos a lot I went to a very dark headspace and alhamdullila I'm now out of it after returning to more traditional scholars and focusing on the aqeeda more

If a ruler forbids Muslims from praying or fasting it makes him a kafier nd that’s when muslims SHOULD take him down. if not we leave him to Allah to judge even if he clearly sins. Sins doesn’t make u a kafier no matter how big it is.
What you can do as a muslim:-
1) refutations, i refute him i deny him are of little to no use. Be away from wasting time as an ummah. Leave their matter to them unless they learn to consult each other personally regarding differences.
2) Focus your time on Qur'an, aqeedah, fiqh, have some islamic books. Channels like masjid ribat and others are benefical. Learn/strengthen your Arabiy.
3) The moment the ummah gives no time to childish fights and engages in productive matters, they will stop the fight and will learn to consult people personally and will not think themselves the greatest ullemas of all times even above the 4 imams.

We should be objective here and not divide amongst us further. Based on Daniel’s statement, he praises the work other conservative Muslims regardless of their views. This is very important as we look to unite, we should be honest and fair. We work with all religions to establish rights of the communities safety, security and family values. Why are we hypocrites when it’s comes to other Muslims? Anyways, I want us to move on and contribute to spreading the message of Islam.
Daniel is coming out of this looking really good. The only legitimate point you had in this video was DH’s comments regarding Khalid Green. Those captions made me uncomfortable and I do think it would be wise for DH to clarify those. I will give him the benefit of the doubt that racism wasn’t his intention with those accompanying comments, but I really hope he says something.
Other than that, it seems that all DH wants is clear language that leaves no room for ambiguity and reinterpretation. He did the same thing with Omar Suleiman/Yaqeen and now he’s doing it to you. Pretty consistent, if you ask me.
Also, the reason he didn’t clap back at the Salafi conference is because they didn’t make him say anything he didn’t agree with. As the title states, the video is about pointing out the dishonesty of Daniel in his approach of making takfir of the Muslim rulers and inciting rebellion against them -- not a response to a list of questions -- and you have made that very clear in the video for those who will understand.
Some people don't understand that you're only trying to teach them the correct Islamic approach to these matters as taught by the Prophet of Allah ﷺ and agreed upon by the Pious Predesessors of Islam, and that it is not for Daniel or anyone else to oppose the Salaf's approach in the way they dealt with the Muslim ruler or in making takfir of Muslims.
