- Lol Tolhurst, 2019 Rock Hall Inductee and The Cure co-founder, sat down with Jason Hanley, the Rock Hall’s VP of Education and Visitor Services and discussed Lol’s music career, his memoir “Cured: The Tale of Two Imaginary Boys”, his Curious Creatures Podcast, and what he has planned next.
I loved his drums 🥁 on 17 Seconds , Faith & Pornography. My 3 favorite Cure albums.
Obsessed with 17 seconds and Pornography!!! Faith is also such a killer album
A very nice interview as Lol got time to talk. I think must read his book now.
I listened on Audible. Extra good to hear in his own voice
Interesting similar story as Duran. What an amazing time to grow up in the UK!! 🇬🇧 ❤
Fire In Cairo is such an interesting song.!
I`m glad to see him, i hope read his book💚
I respect him as the musician, but for me the next drummers were better technically😉
P.S.: Oh, he also supports Ukraine... as well as Smith👍🇺🇦💪
Everyone with an ounce of humanity supports Ukraine in that war
Interesting thoughts.
Robert Smith in Melody Maker in the late 80s on a series of random of questions: Favourite wooden object: "Lol Tolhurst". On Pornography, a brilliant album all told, more credit should be given to the trusty drum machine, starting with One Hundred Years.
We deserve to see a Trent Reznor one too, while you're at it :)
The microphone is less than an inch from them and my volume is up…why does it sound muffled and weak?!
Misfits, totally spot on.
For when! Three Dog Night???
