After watching the two F-4 videos I went looking at some of your past videos. I must say that I very much appreciate your dialogue on the F-4 rather than the music on the older videos. You are both informative about your tools and materials and techniques as well as your candid comments about things that happen as you build. Please keep them coming!
thanks for that i wasnt sure about talking on the videos because i have quite a strong yorkshire accent that i worried people wouldnt understand me i was worring for no reason though as my videos are apreciated more than when i used music
Great job, it's a nice kit of an awesome aircraft and you have done it justice. 😊👍 Have watched your videos for some time and they just keep getting better. Appreciate your honesty in pointing out those areas in the build and finishing process that you could improve. We are all learning and growing in the hobby as we go along. Always a pleasure, Sir - Thanks for sharing !
Just found your videos and really enjoy watching. In the two videos on this Academy F-4B I was curious how you did the black and yellow ejection seat activation handles. They look great! I hope you’ll do more 1/48 aircraft as these are what I build. Thanks
i paint the handle yellow then use a very fine paintbrush to do thin lines over the yellow i know some people who use yellow and black markers to do it but i prefer to paint them
Lovely job as always there, really enjoy watching/listening to your videos whilst im hobbying myself. On a different note i sent you a question regarding some spare airfix kits ive got on Instagram if its something you might be interested in?
i use tamiya x20 and its worked perfectly for me about 60% windsor newton clear and 40% x20 i have used water before and that works ok but takes a lot longer to dry

Nice! I did this kit last year & it's great!
More parts cleanup than the Tamiya BUT 1/2 the price...😊
I do love tamiya kits but the prices of the newer kits are starting to get a bit high now
Nice build! I love those academy F-4 kits tons of bang for the buck and they go together pretty good.HAPPY SCALING 👋.

Nicely finished.
Thank you! Cheers!
Lovely looking Phantom sir! I would recommend the gloss and flat varnish from VMS, they are acrylic so no nasty reactions with enamels
i usually use acrylic based varnishes but wanted to try the mr color ones and now regret it
will give the vms ones a try at some time
cheers
Phantastic result with that Phantom.👍👍👍
hehe nice play on words there pal
glad you liked it
@@yorkshiremanmodels who doesn't love a Phantom👍👍
Looks great!
thanks
Love it! For future reference, USN F-4's didn't carry the drop tanks on the outer pylons.
Thanks for that
Must be mistake by academy because it shows the tanks there as a option
nice one pal
cheers pal
