yes, that was an amazing sidestep whilst accelerating forward at the same time - very difficult to do - which is what got him through all those nearby defenders...
This was such a frustrating game to watch. It makes me fear for the future of rugby. I have never watched a game that was more over-officiated than this. Every few minutes there was a call to watch some replay by the TMO. It dragged the game out so much more than it had to. It was like watching the NFL with all the breaks in play. If this is the route they choose to go, i am afraid they will lose a lot of viewers over the coming seasons.
I think rugby is already seeing itself backsliding. TMO officiating is too heavy-handed, half the unions are struggling financially, and people outside of certain cultural areas really don’t care about the game. Rugby has shot itself in the foot for 150 years with its elitist attitude towards growing the game and making an entertaining product.
SA world champs just sooooo amazing! Best rugby in the world. They will win the next WC and many more to come! The systems they have in place are on point! Kiwi here
yes, I was slightly confused by that one - thing is he did not kick - literally placed his foot up and opposition ran into his boot - still he got a yellow somehow....
As we don't have the necessary technology on this planet to detect if it is a forward pass, in the same play of the 14-13 match, there were two clear forward passes that affected the game by being validated with a try. It's incredible. We boast about having the best VAR system in the world of sports, and then these things happen that are from the last century. A clear offside line like in football, it's very simple to draw a line. These forward passes tarnish the good name of this sport.
If Wales had a bit more ball handling, which I'm sure they will work on, because I see 2 tries their for the taking, that some other sides would have planted. So add that to the score, and it is more respectable than people think. Forward pass by South African that led to a try, take that away and SA only won by a small margin.
As a South African: 1. I dont see what the penalty try was for. I didnt see a collapse of the maul. 2. The pass from Kriel to Mapimpi was 100% a forward pass. A shocking miss by the ref and TMO. That being said. A good game from the boys. I have faith in the youngsters coming through. Hendrikse didnt have a good debut, would like to see the Sharks 10 in a springbok jersey.
@@LordDuke-v7e I think it's one of the coaches at his French club...He said Kolisi was fat and transparent...I think if you Google it or even search here on RUclips you will understand better than I can explain
How is it that the TMO and Ref and Linesman can't see an obvious forward pass - I can't celebrate a fake try - I mean they even reviewed it and still came up with the wrong decision - these are supposed to be the easy decisions for Rugby - c'mon guys.....
What is the hold SA have on world rugby that they get to play their matches in the daytime. While we in NZ play games at night and wonder why we don't get big crowds.
I'll be honest even as a South African that pass to Mapimpi from Kriel was forward 😂😅💔 though not too far but if you look Mapimpi had to reach forward to catch it and he was slightly behind Kriel
The refereeing is a confused mess, and the constant tinkering with the laws to benefit certain teams isn't helping the situation. World Rugby needs a complete overhaul or it needs to be disbanded so competent people can run the game.
what is wrong with world rugby when a clear forward pass is looked at and cleared by ref and tmo? Meanwhile we slow down as much as we possibly can to see if a shoulder rides up and possibly touched the hair on a chin. World Rugby is lost
Good to see Mngomezulu add to the long range kicking option for the Bokke, teams will be wary of giving away penalties just because they are over 50 metres away. Pasop!!!!
It should have been a red card for the Springboks no.15 (Aphelele Fassi). Forward pass for the Mapimpi try. Bad refereeing but all in all the Springboks dominated the game. The decisions were bad but they didn't influence the outcome of the game
That's a stupid judgment 15 jump to catch the ball and Wales player run straight to him while he is still up in the air why panelize him unbelievable 😢😮
These commentators are so mad that they're being beaten by south africa... Every chance they get they have these kak remarks lol... Which is I think is one of the reasons why wales rugby is dying I guess..

If you see a south African back with headgear just know you’re getting out sprinted 99/100 times 😂
for real 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Facts 😂
Finally an actual highlight, thank you!
i swear why havent world rugby posted anything
Iyoh. They really wanted us to beg
South Africa has always been blessed with incredible backline players especially the wing.
As a New Zealander I remember Ray Mordt, Michael DuPlesis, and Gerrie Germishuys touring New Zealand! Ray Mordt was a Beast!
we breed them here
As a South African even for me that was a forward pass from Jesse kriel to mapimpi
It was a flat pass. If you drew a line from where Kriel was to the try line, you would clearly see it as a flat pass
Referee opinion on top 🤣🤣🤣
100% a foward pass 😂
That forward pass was massive. From SA.
Agreed.
Even Mapimpi looked at the referee waiting for the whistle to be blown...
That pass from Jessie was suspicious
That was a clear and obvious forward pass. Sorry Wales.
I would have been pissed if it happens the other way around
for real
I was pissed when NZs try was disallowed in the RWC Final, remember?.
Edwill stepped so wide he had to set his clock back an hour.
😭😭😭
yes, that was an amazing sidestep whilst accelerating forward at the same time - very difficult to do - which is what got him through all those nearby defenders...
It's funny how before half time it was 14-13, then after its 41-13
yes funny very very funny ..the SA team funny isn't even fully ready yet
Edwil and Fassi were excellent. Referee was exceptionally poor. Let's hope for better against Ireland. 💚💛
Love the commentator talking about Isidingo and 7de Laan😂
Hahaha yeah, I through that was pretty neat too 😂😂
Springbok fan here: Seemed blatantly forward when watching it live and the more I watch it the more I think it was forward.
i think its forward as well
Fantastic highlights ❤
Thanks ✌
Keep them coming. Best I’ve seen
Agree.
Proudly South African!

the game has gone soft
It also benefits the larger built player and stifles teams willing to play with pace. Frustrating!
It already has lost a lot of viewers... and many countries (including Wales) are really struggling at the moment.

Even then they missed two clear forward passes that led to tries. Hard to believe. And the time wasted setting and re-setting the scrum was painful.
I follow rugby because of south Africa cricket team
The Boks are an orsm team and will likely edge Razor's team at least once this year, at home. But that forward pass try was a shocker.
SA world champs just sooooo amazing! Best rugby in the world. They will win the next WC and many more to come! The systems they have in place are on point! Kiwi here
Im pretty sure fly kicking someone in the neck was a red card even back in the 80s😂
yes, I was slightly confused by that one - thing is he did not kick - literally placed his foot up and opposition ran into his boot - still he got a yellow somehow....

The scrum falling and being reset highlight had me sweating in suspense

This is our second team lol
SA Rugby looking good
When did they change the forward pass rule? Or rather, get rid of it.

how far does a pass have to go forward to be called a forward pass?
That was a clear forward pass from jesse kriel to Mapimpi

The future of our rugby is safe🎉🎉
Better have eyes on the forward passes.....
What's with World Rugby nowadays.. forward passes seems to be normal with them🤔
it is american football now

what was the penalty try exactly for?

No one seems to remember that the All Blacks played with 14 men in that final
They still would have lost.
I'll be honest even as a South African that pass to Mapimpi from Kriel was forward 😂😅💔 though not too far but if you look Mapimpi had to reach forward to catch it and he was slightly behind Kriel
Jesus is it just me or did that refs whistle ever leave his mouth.
so true
I wanna subscribe but I'm skeptical of the consistency
just started but I will keep on posting
The Qatar Airlines signs are very distracting.
i will try to work on it
These referees have no common sense you can tell they prefer wearing g-strings instead of briefs
Wow, u can knock the ball down and not get 10 anymore?.?. And throw forward pass now…..what is going on
Yea that was insane.
The commentator really doesnt like Faf
Forward pass by a mile goes unnoticed. What's TMO for?
Pae kare 😢 was that tony brown in the coachs box... thats treachery
No place for Mapimpi anymore, he is okay, but compared to Kolbe, Arendse and Edwil he is average.
The Netherlands Dutch just too dominate 👏🇳🇱 🏉
eish, i dont know about that
never expected to hear a ref's voice that should be dubbed or atleast put through translator
assistant ref saying fassies landing was not a natural action. He obviously didnt see the 6 other exact takes from fassie. What an amatuer!
The game this weekend with how things are going for wales i think it could be 60 plus or even 70 if its really bad by wales
How inept do you have to be to watch several replays and still send it for off field review? Talk about zero balls.
Klas man Edwill!
Only about 3 yards forward and forwards out of the hands. Pretty tight. Give the ref a break….
How the hell in any world isn’t that a forward pass😂😂😂
refs are blind
SOUTH AFRICA TOO STRONG SO MANY GOALKICKERS AND FAST WINGERS AND THEIR MAUL ALWAYS TRIUMPHS!
Go South Africa go

Very embarrassing for Wales; one opportunist try only. The rest was rubbish. Lame!!!
Why play a friendly at twickenham, friendly for who?
Hey "ref" that was a forward pass, twice it happened, are you blind or what....
