    As an Italian I am ashamed of what Lovotti (and partly n. 17 also) did. There is no place for such behavior anywhere, let alone on the rugby field. I say sorry to our South African friends.

    Honestly I have no idea what Lovotti was thinking there. They had an advantage due to offside and they were 5 meters off. They could have scored there and put them within one score of the Boks, and then who knows what could've happened then(unlikely, but, you never know). It would of least made for a more exciting match. It's these kinds of stupid plays that are costing this Italian team so much, and in this game it's as blatant as ever.

Lovotti & Quaglio should be cited for the "assault" (can't think of a better word) on Duane Vermeulen & both should receive lengthy bans. Remember this game. Only 17-3 half time, Italy had the chance to close the gap early second half to 17-6 or 17-10, then they needlessly get a red card from an absolutely ridiculous tackle. The SA player was literally vertical as he went down on his head. Could have been a much more interesting game without the red.

    I do not have live coverage in Thailand of the match so I could only watch the extended highlights of 22 min. During those 22 min I saw the Springbok captain handle the the ball once and got tackled after 3 or 4 meters and once he was guilty of obstruction that cost SA a try. What is this player doing in the team? After the game during the press interview he got one question and looked pathetic.

    • @jpmeiring3556
      @jpmeiring3556 5 лет назад +6

      Obviously the chances are not great. But IF that should happen, a lot depends on bonus points. SA currently on 10 and would assume they get the win with bonus point against Canada, so they would finish on 15. NZ is on 9, but they are guaranteed 5 points against Namibia which would put them on 14 and Italy on 10 before that game. Thus of Italy beat NZ, and NZ does not get a bonus point, NZ will be out. No chance, but that is the scenario.

      @@matto6195 only of Italy beat NZ with a bonus point for 4 tries, and NZ lose with a bonus point. If NZ lose without a bonus, they are out, and if Italy win, but NZ get a bonus, then Italy will be out. Points difference will only come into the equation of all 3 teams finish on the same amount of points, and NZ beat SA, SA beat Italy and Italy beat NZ
