The Dyna is NOT dead. There are a LOT of them out there, and will be for a long time. The prices will probably go up, but they are still available. I have what I feel is the ultimate Dyna, a 1997 EVO powered Superglide. Not only the superb Dyna frame, but IMO the best engine Harley ever made. I've had it since 2001. I'm 59, and expect to keep it for the rest of my life, even if it needs an engine rebuild. The truth is, there isn't a single new Harley made that I really like. I feel their best days are behind them, and it's all downhill for H-D now, UNLESS someone with some common sense steps in and takes over. Since when has Harley ever copied anyone? That is sad indeed. Real bikes have twin shocks. The Softail was an attempt to make a FAKE hardtail that still had suspension.
I agree with you man. They lost the target demographic a few years ago. I love the brand and will always ride Harleys, but I’m not wondering into a Harley shop all goo goo eyed trying to buy anything new unless Stella gets her groove back if you know what I mean.
I’m so glad that I bought one of the last ones they made three years ago. I was thinking about selling it at first but I’ve learned to love it so I’m gonna pay it of and keep it for the rest of my life. It also is my very first brand new HD bike I bought so it’s like finding your first love.
Dinky Dot probably so. We will have to see how the sales go. I personally love the look of both the dyna dual shocks as well as the softail. Don’t know why you’d drop either one from the lineup
I admit the new mil 8 engines have more hp than my 2014 streetbob I have the 103 with a stage 1 upgrade. But the new bikes look smaller than mine. Id like to test ride one but I have to say I love my bob. Its 6 years old and I have a ton of aftermarket parts available for it now. I couldnt imagine how much something like a backrest and pillion would cost for the 2020s and lack of options for them.
I have one of the baddest dynas on the planet! I need to do my suspension upgrades however. It’s gonna be the return of the Dyna by Harley in the next couple years. Watch. ✨🤘😆🤘✨🇺🇸
Great video! Wise move doing a little R&D to figure out what the new bikes need. Anytime there is a mass production motorcycle there is room for improvement. Smart move, keep up with the times or get left behind!
As far as the Dyna wobble goes , my 05 has 50,000 miles and no wobble. I personally think it was only an issue with bikes that were not maintained . Now my Honda CB500 had a terrible Wobble as did my 78 Triumph Bonneville. But there is nothing in the Dynas front suspension that is unique to the model and I've pegged my speedo at 120 numerous times and it has been very stable . So the whole Dyna Wobble crap is bullshit . If you don't replace bad seal's or keep the fork oil at proper levels then it's on you not the tried and true suspension that has been used by every motorcycle manufacturer since the 40s. I also could care less that Harley Davidson cancelled the Dyna because I already got mine and if I buy another bike it will either be another Ironhead or an FXR . Or maybe a Hayabusa hmmmm
I am 65 years old. Been riding since age 11. My current bike and last bike, is the favorite of all the Harley's I have owned. My 2008 Dyna Glide Low Rider FXDL. I bought it new. Now 12 years old. I maintain it as new. I love this bike. Best handeling Harley I've owned. I will never sell it. Hit my picture Icon to get a video of My 2008 Dyna Glide Low Rider. 🙂❤
I think if Harley dropped the Dyna because sales were down I get it...the base was not there anymore....but if Harley dropped it to standardize on a single production frame/shock for cost savings while the Dyna base was still there...then there is a big (Dyna) market will be lost...
The new monoshock is gonna be fucking awesome and the new m8 is gonna haul ass with we get some power from it.. i am looking forward to see what you SDC guys can make for it to make it top notch!!!
Every style trend is cyclical. It never fails that the new hotness from HD is maligned by the old heads, until the NEXT new hotness comes out and the old new hotness is suddenly cool.
Now that fuel injection and big inch engines are producing over 140 bhp, the Dyna chassis cannot cope with it due to those crap mounts - I speak from experience here. When the Dyna first came out people were having problems on almost stock Evo engines and their 55 - 60 bhp. The older softails were terrible handling bikes and so the new 'softails' came out as a logical progression of just a mono-shock on a frame that housed balanced engines - WTF are people moaning about - I haven't heard one former softail owning person complain about the new frame, and as the new bikes remove the vibrations AND handle better than both the softail and Dynas. It is a win - win situation !!!!! Wait till they pension of the Sportster in a few years.....
Have you seen what Dynas sell for now days? It’s insane. They are a hot commodity apparently. I literally had a guy bug the shit out of me at the Harley shop for almost an hour last month about how he had cash and he would buy it “right here and now” 😒 no dude. It’s not for sale. It happens almost every time I go to the Harley shop. It’s bothersome. It’s like riding a fckn unicorn or something, everyone wants it for some reason 🤣 I get it, they don’t come by often anymore and they’re never for sale but damn it dude lol I’ll never sell mine. When the stock motor blows up I’ll throw an S&S motor in the frame and keep on chugging along.
Mines even higher .We run 13 13.5 or 14 or even 14. Tbose looked like 13. The higher the better if you can wheelie lol and the fucking thing doesnt scrape in every corner
From someone who doesn't ride Harleys and is a bobber/cruiser fan. The Dyna is high key ugly. The big cowl in the front, the weird frame, it doesn't look aesthetically pleasing. The new Sportster S or even the 883 look waaaay better imo. Onto better things
LOL, just playing, i have a Dyna Wide Glide, its not my favourite bike and im not sad to see the Dyna line gone, but i do like the Dyna and i will never sell mine, but for Harley to move forward, they needed to dump the Dyna line

Hell No, the New StreetBobs and Low Rider S are 🔥

now ya know how us fxr owners felt when they dropped that model.an end of an era.
I had a 1987 FXR. It got stolen 2 weeks after I bought it new.
Picked up a 18 Softail Heritage but still kept my 08 fxd love both bikes
Makes me love my low rider s even more!
With you on that. I love my Dyna S.
I have a 96 dyna superglide convertible. Best bike I have ever had. Will never sell it!
The fucking paint on that bike broooo 😍 damn that’s clean as fuck
The new frame on the new softails justifies the death of the dyna. Solid as a rock zero vibrations, handles like a dream
01 fxdx, 103 fuel injected, 6speed, cam, ported heads, 08 swing arm, 49mm front end, +2.
My guess is in a couple of years you will see an all-new revamped dyna line after the softatil platform gets stale
Dinky Dot probably so. We will have to see how the sales go. I personally love the look of both the dyna dual shocks as well as the softail. Don’t know why you’d drop either one from the lineup
Without out a Doubt 100%

Watch. ✨🤘😆🤘✨🇺🇸
Excellent video
I’m glad I got my dads 00’ fucken blessed
RIP DYNA 1991-2017
My understanding is that any wobble can be fixed with a 400 dollar positrac stabilizer kit for the front and rear... not a big deal at all.
Love that burgundy candy???, or whatever that color is!
Love my 2001 FXDX, in Alfa Romeo giallo pozzuoli!
Great video! Wise move doing a little R&D to figure out what the new bikes need. Anytime there is a mass production motorcycle there is room for improvement. Smart move, keep up with the times or get left behind!
What about that dirty tail rear end from dirty birds az?
There is a swingarm conversion kit for the m8 Softail… you make it into a dyna
Who makes those black wheels on the bike behind him?
John Brewer they do. San Diego Customs they’re badass
I've never had any wobble on my 2009 FXDL

If Harley made an stripped down aluminum frame FXR without that horrible M-8 motor they would sell like crazy.
All dyna looked better as dynas then soft tails
man that fender looks like shit bein so high off the tire
Mines even higher .We run 13 13.5 or 14 or even 14. Tbose looked like 13. The higher the better if you can wheelie lol and the fucking thing doesnt scrape in every corner
It actually looks like it should, with more ground clearance and quicker steering.
What exhuast is that

What’s the website or contact details?
Lets,see someone ride on the,back,wheel
Every vehicle car company cancels some models. Baggers became popular so Dyna fell out of favor. Not too hard to understand or know.
I smell BS.
Yes i agree . love dynas . but worse hadling bike ever!!! . love the new soft tails way better !!!

They’re a cheap-flimsy chassis anyways, I was happy they discontinued that and the V-Rod. I’m an FXR guy till the end
And they were way to heavy . ! And stand allways sucks !!
Dyna was the typical crap motorcycle with outdated technology.
Snake Bite you serious?xD
Public Svenemy don't expect a rational response. He took his swing and ran off.
man your full of it
LOL, just playing, i have a Dyna Wide Glide, its not my favourite bike and im not sad to see the Dyna line gone, but i do like the Dyna and i will never sell mine, but for Harley to move forward, they needed to dump the Dyna line
Snake Bite the Dyna wide Glide is the shittiest handling Dyna in the Dyna line, no wonder you hate them
