London System against the Chigorin (Nc6 setups)

In this video I have covered the very rare but very important setup black could employ against the London System - the Chigorin.
The Chigorin is characterized by the move Nc6, with which black develops the knight and at the same time blocks the c pawn. This means that black will not be able to attack white’s center with c5. What that means for a London system player is that there is no need for the move c3! The move c3 is usually played to support white’s London pawn triangle, but when c5 cannot be played it’s redundant.
Instead of playing in a normal London fashion, when facing the Chigorin white’s best setup includes playing the move c4 - striking at black’s weak center and at the d5 pawn and turning the tables.
Unlike normal queen’s gambit setups against the Chigorin, against which black can easily employ his plan of attacking with a ton of pieces, playing the London against Nc6 setups gives white much more safety and much more flexibility. I hope you learn something!

Can you make a video on black queenside castle against the london? Because especially after Bxg2 hxg2 and the h file is open, black will try castling queenside often

Another great video, thanks again. At 18:30 you mention that after ... d5 White needs to take with the Bishop, but didn’t mention why. Is it because of the threat of h5? (oh, and like the dark theme, and the darker colours of the board. Just need more jazz in the background :-)

I think what he's trying to say that your videos are good (I agree). You show so much useful theory that's normally correct. No one can argue with that. A lot of it has already been proven but you present it very well! THIS video shows more of your insight than the proven theories you normally present. The "work" that went into it seems more like your own assessment. I think your analysis is becoming of the same quality as the proven theory you normally show us. I'm like you. I don't see much advantage in using the Chigorin against the London for the same reasons.

This one is the best. The pieces are much highlighted in this one. It's the pieces not the board which should be highlighted. I changed to this board from blue a month ago.
