Another great review and the car is beautiful. The biggest zonk is the infotainment system. They put this huge looking tablet and it just looks out of place like an afterthought. At least on the Honda or blends in and is not blocking your view. Also the car looks fast but it really isn’t. Need more power period.
My friend that infotainment system was placed that way and it was done that way so that you won't take your eyes off the road, thats how easy it is. Im speaking from experience as i own the sedan version of this. Its way easier once you actually sit on the driver's seat then you will appreciate it and it does not even distract you with the driving. Honda has been going down the toilet with their quality, l was initially going to get one before I ended up with toyota corolla. Oil dilution is an issue with 1.5 litre and as for the 2.0 litre especially the LX it lacks some standard features that are found in all toyota trims and no lumbar support in civic as well.
Never liked the look of the ordinary hatchbacks. The name “hatchback” sounds low budget. Sportback or fastback sounds so much better. Otherwise this isn’t a bad looking car for the money. Excellent review as always 👍 I’m going to guess that you are rooting for Phil at this week’s MAJOR. 😀
I think Europeans would question that statement. I think the best selling body style in Europe is the hatchback. Thanks for letting me share it with you.
@@carreviewsbyma7457 Hey. What do you think of this Corolla? Quite a lot nicer than the older ones.
They should make the hatch an AWD
Now we are talking!
Why does the dashboard have to stick put so far?
You are right it needs a sunroof and more tech and it should’ve had something in the back for people to charge their phones and to put the cherry on top it should have had a little bit over 200 hp
We have those as estate/wagons in UK and they are plenty
I feel like the back up camera is really low quality compared to sag my girlfriends Rav 4 or others I have seen. Camera is pretty blurry. I mean it works but be nice to see a crisper image.
I liked the smurf blue color better. Put the GR Yaris motor in this with a manual.
Oh yeah!
Nice looking interior,
as always great review
Thanks my friend!
Europe got Toyota corolla hatchback hybrid, When are the states gonna get that version?
That is a great question.
Car looks great 👍 I'd definitely buy this as a first car 😆 the only downside for this car would be it has a CVT, but you get what you pay for 🤷♀️
Can get it with a 6 speed
The CVT is more expensive... this is a compact commuter.
Why toyotas doesn't use turbo in their engines like honda other than supra??
That is a the million dollar question.
Because I assume Toyota wants to go for longevity, reliability and easy maintenance. Slapping a turbo will just cause more issues in the future.
Reliability
Also Honda should give people a choice and not force people to get a turbo, if the v6 is not selling, fine cancel it but still give us the option for a non turbo model by keeping the 2.4L inline.
It is coming. The transition will be seen in next 3 years with most models. Cmon people still gobble up 4runners that haven't changed since when.....
What killed it for me was the fake exhaust tips. I really was considering this car
Paid 17K cash out the door for my 2017 Corolla SE. It was a loaner w/ 6K miles but still smelt new. The salesman made a mistake and got fired right after the sale.
Nah, he didn’t get fired. That’s just a story they tell ya to make you feel like you got a deal. No sale goes through without a manager looking at the details. None.
I hope next year they do a TRD version of this corolla hatchback 🥰
How do you manage to stay with a straight face through all this :D maybe make a video with bloopers
It comes from teaching high school for 18 years! Thanks for letting me share it with you! We are working on the bloopers reel.
Hey Joe! Great review as always. Love the two tone style though. Btw can you do a review of the Toyota Yaris? If you can get a GR Yaris would be great and it does have a manual transmission! I wanna know your opinion on that one.
I think he did review that Yaris
GR Yaris is available in the US.
@@hohowan360 I'm from Malaysia actually
@@mamadouaziza2536 normal stock Yaris? Yes he did. But the GR Yaris? Not yet for now
Nice car review Raiti very cool looking sporty car. Toyota Corollaa is gold!! If i remember bach in the old days very strong cars Toyota made and again its succesful👌
Really thinking of getting this as a second car for city runs
extra storage makes a drop off with seats down that ruins my plan for some open road and occasional overnight air mattress in back. also, your dead in the water with fix a flat on a destroyed tire.
