I got lucky enough to find a low mile used one, its a fun car, especially with a throttle booster and running the manual mode with paddles, handles turns well. Only complaint is it is so quiet
The 2021 Corolla XSE trims are extremely hard to find these days. Hopefully there’s enough 2022 XSE trims to go around later this year.

@@kiingkayi own one, they are a great car. Ton of safety features, comfortable ride, the manual mode is fun with both the shifter and paddles. I added a throttle booster to mine so has a fair bit more punch than the stock gas pedal

My wife has a 2014 Black Sand Pearl Corolla LE Plus and as an appreciation gift I paid it off for her and tried to talk her into getting a newer 2021 Corolla XSE she said nope because she hates the display. Well Jeff i tried lol maybe I’ll get a Corolla for myself for around town and keep the Camry as a weekend car.

Great review. I would really like to buy one of these. My local dealer says they are currently unavailable, like nationwide?? and does not know when they will be back in stock. Bummer!! All I am looking for is the XSE red with the two packages, the sound system and the advanced lighting. Didn't think that would be so hard to get. What do I do???!!! I'm dying to get this car. How do I get one!!!??? Haha. Any suggestions?

Jeff, Toyota needs to have another 2 trim levels on the Hybrid. However, Toyota is most likely waiting until the sales numbers warrant these.

It is very similar to a luxury car. The digital odometer worried me. It can disappear when there is an electronic problem.

Better than the le trim, i have owned both a 2021 corolla le and the xse. The xse is definitely a smoother ride, especially in turns

How do you get it to shine like that?
Two things, only 2 cups of coffee per day for you from now on (lol)...and 3rd best looking Corolla ever. First will always be the iconic wedge shape of the Corolla GTS ('85 GTS was my first car back in '98) and second is the current Corolla hatchback. Interior is a huge improvement over past Corollas (all of them) but along with the current Civic, doesnt compete well with what Mazda is doing with the 3. To be fair the Mazda 3 is a bit more expensive, but even a mid level trim Mazda 3 looks and feels like a class above versus the Corolla and Civic. Granted most of that is due to the shape of the pleather covered dash, Porsche looking steering wheel and the richness of the optional wine red leather in the hatchback, but still. Where Toyota has the Mazda beat is the multi-link independent rear suspension versus torsion beam...assuming that isnt only for the hatchback.

My 2021 Corolla just picks up speed limits and nothing else. Would anyone know why?
Mine picks up speed limits, stop signs, and yield signs so just go to one of the two and see if it works mine consistently works

You press the top button either lock or unlock 3 times but do it slowly and hold the third time until the light start blinking.
Hi Jeff, Friday 30th i will be at Victorvalley Hi Toyota dealership by4pm. I am Trading in a 2019 se sport . dark burgundy/dark red with the black grille, the black rims. 17,000mile on it. No accidents. Purchase a Brand brand new 2020 Platinum with less than 5miles same colors including the rims, roof rack, 20in rims, low car payment, JBL speakers the big screen stands up straight, . I don't know the choices. Has to have a bench seat. Front seats heating and heated steering wheel. Cloth seats are more comfortable. All the extra specs. I need to ask what else I like in this Highlander I don't know what else...any suggestions besides rear camera, dimming rear mirror, all-weather mats the thick mat rear,rear speakers, vents, USB connectors . Is the power train warranty the best? Going to bed now . Gest rest for Toyota

$25,825 is factory MSRP. Sorry about that yeah I didn’t have a window sticker because Toyota gave it to me to review for a week and didn’t include it. I should have written in there with the price was.

Nah don't worry. Some CVTS do (NISSAN) but Toyota makes good transmissions you'll be fine as long as you take care of the car. Toyota knows what they are doing.
@@callamusik5769 that’s soo assuring….. I’m very much aware of the reliability of Toyota cars given that this is my third Toyota Corolla but non was in the CVT……. As for car care I pay a lot of attention to it which is why I keep a personal maintenance schedule book for each car…..

It’s funny that I know more about Toyotas then a Toyota salesman and I’ve only bought Chevy and Subarus all my life. Buddy it’s a CVT transmission. There is no shifting through 1 2 3 4 blah blah blah. Lmaooo it’s a chain wrapped around 2 drums.
