    HUGE BONUS POINTS for everyone who Follows me on Instagram @toyotajeff1. Thanks I appreciate the love. What do you think of Toyota Corolla? Do you like SE or is another trim level the best for you? Jeff

      @Right Lane Hog The factory in Mississippi doesn’t have the capacity yet, so a Japanese factory helps out. This will probably change pretty soon, though.

      Richard Favreau thank you tbh with you I’m not tech savvy so I won’t be missing anything from the premium package, so if you can avoid it you should, all I needed was CarPlay

      Richard Favreau Actually where I live there’s a speed bump (pretty big) before getting in or leaving and the car has never hit it , obviously I take my precaution so I don’t hit my brand new car , but it is lower than my last one so everytime I hit something on the road I worry but at the end of the day they’re just tires at one point we have to place them lol

    Can't believe someone said they wanted to punch you because of the video. My wife and I appreciated your humor and even though it was a little silly it made it fun at the same time. That being said, it was one of the more informative videos we saw on the SE and we learned several things. We also saw your video on how to use the key fob to use the remote start. We ended up getting an SE today for my wife with the awesome black sand pearl paint. Thanks for helping us make an informed decision. Take care. Roland and Alishia. 👍😊

    Jeff, I appreciate these videos you create. They are informative and entertaining. It gives me a great overview of the car. I am looking forward your review of the 2021 Corolla XSE if you do one or comparing it to the 2021 Corolla SE. I'm on the fence on which one to purchase later this year. No matter what I choose, it'll be a great car.

      It depends on the standard features that you want, and if you plan on any options. The SE base is a little over $22k, and the XSE is a little over $25 base price. Fully loaded the SE is around $26,095, and a fully loaded XSE is around $28,845.

    • @damage0311
      @damage0311 3 года назад

      I'd suggest SE. I don't think the extra $$ is really worth it. I drive an SE and it's got almost all of the features.

    Jeff, I need a good daily driver and I’m on the fence between the new Corolla SE and the new Camry in XLE trim. I’m 50 years old and my past history is owning an 87 Corolla, 96 Sentra, and lastly a 2006 Honda Civic sedan. The big plus for me for new Corolla SE is that it has a smaller footprint which may mean more fun and sportiness at the expense of a tight and claustrophobic back seat. More youthful and perhaps fun and practical are words for the new Corolla. The Camry on the other hand is definitely bigger, roomier on the inside especially with the back. Not crazy about the front inside swoop that cuts into the passenger legs though. The car drives very smoothly. I feel more like a responsible adult when I’m in Camry. The Corolla is the one that gives me more of a smile on my face I’ll admit. If I went with Corolla, I’d have to say goodbye rear passengers as it’s just so claustrophobic back there. Then again, 95% of driving would be just me in car, with the exception of my wife in front seat occasionally. Based on that info, what do suggest I get, Corolla or Camry. Thank you for all the work you put into these helpful videos. Maybe a good way to answer this question is to ask you, if you had the opportunity to trade your Camry XLE for a new Corolla in SE or XSE, what would you say? What would be your reasons for wanting to keep the Camry. Or on the other hand, if the Corolla was tempting you to trade, what would be those reasons? Sorry this is so long. Thank you.

    They should really come out with a performance model for this gen of the Corolla. It's the best looking one to date in my opinion. Or at least have a dealer option to engine, suspension and brakes upgrade. They can keep the dress up options but at least give customers the option to order the bare bones base model and upgrade to a decently powered engine.

    I bought the same 2021 Toyota Corolla SE Blizzard Pearl White car just like this one. I love it so much. I used to have a 2019 Toyota Corolla LE SLATE color and it was an excellent car as well. The only thing I miss from my 2021 car is it doesn’t have a CD player like my 2019 car. But that doesn’t really bother me much as I down loaded many songs to play in my newer car. I love the design, the acceleration, the power, the comfort, and many other things about it. But my 1965 Pontiac GTO can blow this car away anyday. I do love this car more than my girlfriend!!! Just kidding. Thanks for sharing

    Even I don’t have good experience and enjoyed my old 2008 Toyota Corolla LE, b/c the safety issue, but after I bought my second Corolla, which is 2020 SE, obviously refresh my mind and because it is so reliable, smart and it has lots safety features. Very enjoy it!

    It’s not a bad car I test drove one but coming from an older Corolla 2007 I found the driving position to be cramped. I’m 6 foot one and in the older Corolla I felt like I had a lot of room to kind of spread out my legs and my body in the driver seat But in the new one I find that because of the large center Tunnel and a large grab handle on the drivers door I can’t really spread out to relax and get comfortable. Ultimately I chose to go with a Honda Civic, I found that it has a bit more space in every direction and also a more roomy backseat and a more spacious trunk. Also another thing I like about the civic is the drivers foot well what some people call the pedal box is deeper so I feel like I can put my seat further forward and it gives better backseat room for my kids.

  • @NGMonocrom
    @NGMonocrom 3 года назад +1

    Nice, thorough review. That hump when the seats are folded flat, just makes no sense. Why even bother with folding rear seats if that hump/divider is going to be there. Also, the overall size of it. I get it, most car makers are (ironically) making their compact cars bigger. Still, just makes no sense. Someone with a tight budget who wants Toyota reliability in a compact car might walk onto the lot thinking "Corolla," realistically could end up driving off in a more compact and less expensive Yaris. Same thing for a Camry customer on a tight budget. They see how large the Corolla has gotten, and might decide they could live with a smaller version of the Camry after all.
    As far as blind spot monitoring goes.... every car I get into has that feature. It's me, putting on my turn-signal, checking my mirror _and then turning my head to look over my shoulder in case a car is in my blind spot._

    I will like to say that I love this dealer,I live in wilkesboro nc about 2:30hrs away and this was the only dealer that had a 2021 blue crush metallic with black interior and also the black roof,I drive a truck so I dont have alot of time to look around,so I call 1 day before and the lady give me a $5,200 off msrp on the SE model (she mess up bad) and when I got there they say,we only give $1,000-$2,000 off on the SE and I know they do because that's what all the dealers tell me,so I show them the mss from a day before that say 2021 corolla SE $5,200 off and they did keep what the lady say a day before and I got the car for $19,800 and I love the car,that was my 17year old (18 early birthday present) I be back in about a year to get ME a camry trd

    Also wondering why the bumpers are so low on the newer cars, I do hear them drag often when going over bumps. Also, where is the fog lights? I don't even see room to add for lights! Lastly, WHY IS THE DASH ANALOG???? I can't tell you how many times those analog dashes get stuck. They should have but the 7 inch digital in dash display (like on the Hybrid, XLE, and XSE) instead.

    Really wish it had an automatic seat lever instead of the 90s pump handle on and name the movie big daddy bro. Of course! Also the brake hold is a lovely feature on my Honda civic. But you don't have to press it every time you stop. As long as your seat belt is on it willy stay on and you can just take your feet of brake at any stop is that how it is on this car? I'm thinking of getting out it this week.

    How many of those safety features are eliminated if you get the 6MT? I don't need or want most of those safety feature anyways, plus I would only get it in the manual transmission.

    Road noise in a Corolla!? What the heck. Not supposed to be. So the Corolla couldn't be rejuvenated without succumbing to the fads of the moment being road and wind noise so it feels like a sport car? Is it so bad Mr Jeff ? And how is the comfort in general?

    Will the Toyota Safety Sense pick up a curb that you may run the low front end into? (and stop?) :^)

    Can you do a Camry vs Corolla size comparison? I’m torn between the two, whether the Corolla is big enough for me and my family

      How big is your family? I’ve ridden both a Camry and Corolla and I don’t notice any big differences.. Camry is supposed to be bigger but I just didn’t feel it… also the extra power in the Camry is almost non existent since it also weighs more… the space in the armrest seems bigger in the Camry and the space to put your phone under the infotainment screen seems a bit bigger on the Camry, besides that it’s more or less personal preference
