this review made me buy a corolla LE with convenience package after doing months of research on purchasing a car. Was brand new too. I was making a choice between the hatchback and regular corolla and the regular corolla was way bigger on the inside and in regards to cargo space. toyota had a $1000 rebate and the dealer took $1000 off the msrp so it was a very great deal on a brand new car compared to some used or CPO vehicles. It's great for our second car and driving back 2 hours from the dealership we achieved 38.5 MPG's. thats nuts. thanks Jeff for this review. wish I could have bought from you but im on the other side of the country.

I just bought a 2021 Corolla and this tutorial is so helpful! Great job of explaining everything. I've had mine a month now and still learning it's features. I upgraded from a 2006 Corolla that I still have with over 283,000 miles! Corollas are amazing! I haven't watched the whole tutorial yet, but wondering how you shift into overdrive when you need more power to climb a steep hill? My 2006 had a button on the gear shift.

Good walk around. Thumbed up. Just bought this exact model and color with convenience pkg. Mine came out of Japan though. Also mine was dead in the garage with only 150mi on it because it needed a firmware update as the car was not shutting its system down properly so it killed the battery. They said its mainly been an issue on the ravs but corollas and other models are effected too. All good now though and getting closer to a whopping 800mi now. First two tanks of mixed driving returned 35.2 and 35.37 mpg hand calculated!

I just ordered this same car 2022 LE with that package but in white. For $1150 extra it is definately worth it. I didn't do the SE due to the 18' wheels with pot holes plus the 1.8L has been tested for so many years now they just don't give up. Under the hood it is so simple to work on if need be after say 15 years and you just want to tinker with it yourself.

I bought one last month out of necessity and now I wish I bought something else. For starters the CVT bumps when you let off gas then reaccelerate, most noticeable at low speeds. The second is that the tire noise can be excessive on some roads, and the third is the fuel filler tube flexes down when refueling.

I have read some of the comments about rebates and dealers taking one thousand off MSRP. That is no longer happening
unless you have a dealer willing to give you a break. The Corolla like many of the cars in demand (if you can get one quick) will sell above the MSRP because of demand and lack of vehicles. I have been waiting for 6 weeks for the delivery on a new Corolla LE that has been in transit.
The price of used, and new have increased tremendously, the market has never been as it is right now, and no one knows
    how long it may last.

Jeff, is $33K out the door for a 21 Camry XSE AWD a good price?
Or do you think I can get it for $30K out the door?

Thanks it's a 2day rental, Enterprise staff did not have info. I'm a septuagenarian tech challenged, and the manual seemed daunting, although you went through the many features on steering wheel i.e. accident safety features should have a video just for that. Thanks again. DW

I'm not very happy with the CVT on new Corolla. I loved the previous generation 4 speed auto on Corolla over the CVT. If I buy Corolla now I would get the manual transmission. I really wish Toyota rethink about the transmission for Corolla for a 6 speed auto or even better 8 speed auto. I just like the Corolla to last for ever. Even we bought newer cars we still have a 1987 Corolla wagon at my parents house and still runs great. That is what Toyota is about. Runs for ever..!!

The cvt for me feels different from regular automatic... all my driving for city and highway have never passed 2800rpms even going through hills. At 85mph im still at 2200rpms while the eco is still on. This is with 2020 corolla LE. If I compare with regular automatic, I actually don't miss it especially with gas mileage

@@alvinsimba734 Congratz on your 2020. Regular automatics can't match mpg with CVT. IMO CVT tops mpg department. It bet you will love it on long trips.

I'm actually liking the cvt more than a auto! There is no clunk small lurch when putting it in drive or reverse that every auto does and also it can be driven very slowly and smoothly without any hanging gears that autos tend to do when driven very light footed.

You are fabulous! I cannot fully express how much this video helped me to fully understand this model. Thank you for taking time to do this video.
***Also, in this model, is my thinking correct in that the (recirculation air) button stays on (lit up) even if you push the (off) button on the display? In the video, I noticed that it was on when you pushed the off button. Is it set to default to (on) and can only be switched between the recirculation of outside air button?
