Height has NOTHING to with it. It’s all about genetics, and work ethic. I don’t mention the roids because that’s part of genetics. @@johannberger1817 Inserts wasn’t the proper word, not encompassing enough because of your point, which is what I was trying to get at but worded it poorly. I was meaning the overall shape/size/inserts/width/etc that determine the shape a muscle will take when it grows. Like for myself I have a very short bicep but it’s wide. I do 0 arm lifts besides what they get from back/chest and my bicep peak is large considering (16.5” lean) b/c of how short my bicep is, it also looks big from a side profile and front view with arms down and extended not flexed also because naturally I build quick and the width of it. That’s what I’m trying to get at, that natural muscle building ability coming from the overall biology of the person. My wording still seems f’d to me but I can’t seem to word it better. Hope this makes sense.

    Mike Mentzer preached for YEARS that working the same muscles without long periods of rest (sometimes up to 10 days depending on the workout type and genetics of the person) would be a waste. It takes a long time to fully regenerate the muscles after a tough workout,therefore to train them before fully recovering is a waste of time. 👍

      Biceps recover way faster than like back for example.. and we know this for a fact cause : constructor workers & mechanics & football players.. they all have big muscles on the parts they use the most on their jobs ( which they use alot more frequently than normal ) like everyday literally

    • @dwade6322

Yes construction workers are big strong dudes,but if they worked hard an rested more they would be big without all the extra wear and tear on the muscles. Train super hard once a week works good if you are on steroids, the protein syntes is much longer so you can recover and build more muscles during a longer time compare to being natural where the protein syntes last 48 hours and then its almost 0.
    If you are natural its better to train less hard and have less volume during a workout.
    But workout a muscle more often to keep that protein syntes going.
    There is a reason why people who are natural make huge progress when they start doing push ups like 4 days a week and keep it simple.
    Ofc its not optimal, but still many times gives more mass than lets say train chest 4-5 exercises once a week at the gym.
    And Yes its not going to be that forever but still says a loot about frequency.
    If you want to grow chest and wants to become strong at bench press i would pick bench press 3 times a week any day over 1 time a week.

    The funny thing is the muscle does grow more if you train it more often. The only reason his didn’t is because he didn’t do that. People think that just because you do something and it works means that something else couldn’t possibly work better.
    It’s simple
    Training 0 times = no results
    Training 1 time = results
    Training 2 times = better results.
    Both are “right” but one is usually better and by usually it’s like 99% of people who get better results from training 2x a week vs once a week.

    2:30:10 I like your comment here about the possible lore implications of the variance in strength displayed by the cleanrot knights. However I do think it’s one of those things that just exists in the game and not in the lore. You mentioned in an earlier video in the playthrough. I think you gave an example of the health bar, the new addition of the compass in Elden ring, among other things (I do need to watch the video in which you mentioned this previously, it seemed very interesting).
    Like I stated I really did like this thought, but I find his hard to chalk up to lore implications. One reason for that being the fact that right after, you fight stone imp friends which boast an impressive 1000+ health whereas their Limgrave variants, have a mere few hundred. And you find countless examples of this all throughout the game.

    I really don’t mind farming in a playthrough. My only comment on it is, why? You haven’t had a problem with a boss or an area thus far. Not even a slight problem seemingly. Every boss has taken just a handful of attempts. Including the rage-inducing valiant gargoyles which took, what was it, two attempts?

    Proof that even if you're jacked af it doesn't mean they know what they're talking about. Lee's genetics, drugs and work ethic is 95% of the reason why he's huge. The research suggests that more frequency is usually better as long as you can recover in time, especially with such a small muscle group like Biceps, they only take a day or two to recover usually.

      Research pulled from your ass😂 if you can train every second day the same muscles you are exercising, not training to grow, good luck with that

      The thing I've come to realise with any research is it basically means works for the most amount of people in the trial. Maybe there's a type of person the thing being talked about will never be right for you, maybe you're part of the 10% it didn't work for. Experiment, record results and see what works for you.
      Me personally, the biggest effect from a single alteration I made, was basically taking a more Mike Mentzer approach. Train very hard, but not too much frequency.

    • @matthewrhodes6571
      @matthewrhodes6571 5 месяцев назад

      @@TheZippyMark Totally agree, there's not one size fits all for sure.
      I would speculate however, that some who have tried and failed at higher frequency training and have gotten results from a Mentzer/Dorian style may have made fundamental mistakes in higher frequency training, such as not using rir and training to failure too often, bad technique, too much volume per session, not having 1 - 2 rest days a week, not paying attention to the Stimulus to Fatigue ratio, never deloading etc.
      Also, higher frequency may not work with your lifestyle, so a higher intensity 2 - 3 session weekly split may be optimal for them. The stresses of working a full time job, kids etc, can cause higher frequency to fail because it requires more of your time. Many of the mistakes made in higher frequency training can be made in HIT training, because your joints, connective tissue & CNS get more time to recover.
      Higher frequency requires a bit more thought for it work. But I get why people love HIT training, and if it's working for them and they enjoy it, then that's all that matters really!

    • @TheZippyMark
      @TheZippyMark 5 месяцев назад +1

      @matthewrhodes6571 yeah definitely man, and the real bottom line is, the training style that is the most effective for you is the one you actually stick at consistently, because there's a human factor in all of this. And you're right, HIT does just fit around the rest of my life better too, because of my work and stuff
