So this is the second Harry potter for the PSX. It's probably one of the less known Harry Potters cause anyone who has played the first one for the PSX and looked at the screenshot of this one they'd think it's the same game and honestly I cant blame them.
However when you get past the surface level likeness the game is... still very much like the first Harry Potter on the PSX except better, faster, more fun, less minecart, no peacock but still just as ugly meaning it's the PSX harry potter you'll want to play. It's really fun it has a shitload of "no time to explain no time to make sense" minigames thich really add to the breakneck pacing Argonaut went for with this game.
Oh did I just namedrop the developer of the first Star Fox and the the croc games as well as highly revolutionary and underrated Alien 3 FPS for the PSX ? I think I did, yes they also made this game and it really shows they knew what they were doing (aside from the graphics, they're nightmarefuel).

@@nikodem123asdf Yes, but I said "most people". I guarantee over 90% of Playstation users have never called it the PSX, most likely becajse they weren't born yet when it was called that...
Remember, it's 2019, and the average "gamer age" is most likely only between 13 - 23, meaning even the older side of the average was still barely a toddler at the start of the century.

5 was a good evolution to the formula while 6 was a lazy one, 4 was... odd, a solid and good co-op game but a strange change of direction.
And as for the final two-parter games... we don't talk about those.
I think what I liked the best was how there was completely different games made for the different platforms (like PC & consoles), I miss when games used to be like that as it meant getting to play two completely different games based on the same source material.

On the flip side you're accompanied by princess goose who you need to rescue as a monkey and one of the unlockable items is a car (the game's set in medival fantasy) which you can use to take part in a race. Also one of the upgrades you find by digging a hole right in front of the final boss allows you to literally bypass most puzzles in the game by jumping really far and high. The nonsense is strong with that one.

I don't know who would read this, but I want a full on remake of this series, but change somethings. What I may say is not everyone's cuppa tea but I would love it if you could put all 7 years in one game, where each year you are gradually more able to explore hogwarts. And you had a more leisure time exploring. You had a day and night cycle where you had to go to a class or activity at a certain time. Could go to bed. Do more quests and get more collectables. Just really add more to the game now there's a bigger limit what you can do with a game. Switch between spells and all sorts. Really make it a magical experience.
