Great video. Did not know about those socket adaptors, thanks for showing those. Amazing how useful those can be, hopefully they can be used with standard sets. Do you know how the lengths compare to the craftsman v series ratchet wrenches?
I tested these adapters with non brand spanners and it fit smoothly. I don't owned craftmans tools, so can't say about length. But these are the same spanners as Mac.
I got the adapters first from Hazet 606 kit but I didn't have any ratcheting wrenches so I bought these Facom individually 10, 13 and 19. They are good, I tried at the shop many brands Unior KS Tools etc which all were inferior. I also bought for a friend a Gedore red set which included all these adapters at 85eur. The Gedore red were also good but the Facom are a bit slimmer. I had to remove the little nut holding spring from the Facom wrenches because the Hazet adapters wouldn't work with it. Nice review and thanks for the video.
I like these ratcheting wrenches from facom. They served me well and still going strong. Actually, I was thinking to get hazet adapters too coz facom does not offer 3/8'' adapter but good to know that hazet's adapters does not work with facom wrenches. I will skip the hazet's adapters then.
@@carrepairandtoolsvideos yes to use them you need to remove the spring in the Facom that is for holding the nut, not too difficult and you can keep the spring to put it back if you need
I have no idea about it. But black n decker owns facom now. All these brands are made in Taiwan or China in typical generic factories just like Levi's jeans brand is made in Asia since ages.
Lovely looking wrenches - I have a set of the standard Facom 440 combi wrenches. But it's a shame they skip those 9mm and 15mm sizes, and if you buy them separately they won't fit in the holder, so that's definitely a deterrent.
Exactly, its a shame facom skip those couple of sizes. I try to buy set without skips. But this was on sale so i couldn't resist. But quality of these wreches are top class
@@carrepairandtoolsvideos Yeah, I don't doubt that they are excellent, but I hate sets with skipped sizes, and I do a lot of cycle mechanics, where 9mm and 15mm are definitely needed 😞
For sure, these are made in Taiwan. But i dont have official info since facom dont mention on their packaging. But i would say these particular ratcheting wrenches are very good quality. I use them alot.
@@automat-pz8nq ok, interesting. Mac's similar wrenches are rebranded from Facom and they mention ''made in Taiwan'' But I did not see anything mention on Facom wrenches though. But its interesting if these are made in Italy.
@@automat-pz8nq Stanley Black n Decker bought Facom long ago, Mac tools belongs to Stanley Black and Decker as well. Similarly Proto belongs to the same group. I am pretty sure they are all made in Taiwan mostly. Mac 3/4" long ratchet is exactly same as Facom just logo is different.
Is this open end anti slip the same as Facom 440XL/MAC precision torque/SIDCHROME 440?
I am not sure if its exact same but it does have those ridges for antislip
Beautiful wrenches. This Mac/Facom design looks the best out of any wrench.
Indeed, these are one of best looking designs
