  • The functional superiority of the 467R wrenches compared to the 40R wrenches lies in the possibility of taking a nut at the end of the wrench and the presence of an eye ratchet (angle of recovery: 5 °).
La supériorité fonctionnelle des clés 467R par rapport aux clés 40R réside dans la possibilité de prise d'écrou en bout de clé et la présence d'un cliquet à oeil (angle de reprise : 5°).

Now that's what i call revolutionary product designing
Someone literally redesigned wrench to have rachet like functionality WITHOUT any moving parts...
Thanks for showing us, i would never know about it anytime soon without you :)

Diezelle, I am not a fan of ratcheting fixed jaw open end wrenches, the jaw that has the half circle cut out always seems to have so little contact to the bolt. Different subject, I am not sure but I do not think Facom make a (Flank drive plus in Snap-on talk) or ( a Wrightgrip anti-slip wrench). What I am trying to say is teeth to dig into the bolt to stop the wrench from slipping.

This wrench profile obviously implies, by the ratchet effect, greater speed of work in cramped environments. Regarding the Snap-On wrench model (flank drive plus), FACOM no but WERA yes, these Joker wrenches.

Only issue I see with the first weird spanner is what if the corners are rounded. It'll only work on a fresh bolt or nut

Is the 40R practicable for rusty old screws?

Seems great, but why would you want a ratcheting open end on a ratchet spanner. Seems a little ridiculous, open ended ratchets seem very task specific.
    Great video

For Pipes?! It is very annoying, when you have to tight Pipes in very small areas and you always Change the Position try to find a way to use the Wrench in many ways.
Sometimes you just cant use the open Wrench. You need an open Ring for Pipes.
Therefore is an open rachtet Spanner a great Idea.

i wonder how it works on stiff screws, or on damaged screws heads. its a brilliant ideea but in practice one need all the force and to be sure it wont hit his fingers.

I used the 40r on my car, got a screw off where I couldn't get off using other 'normal' open jaw wrenches and couldn't use a closed jaw wrench for. They can get super high torques to the screws and don't bent away.

Total noob here but wouldn't that constant ratchetiing rubbing movement wear down the wrench?

If you'd knew Facom's ratcheting wrenches you'll know that they last almost for ever and even if one break, they have lifetime garanty.

@@frederic6998 I do own two of their ratches, and Im just a diy home owner and have to already rebuild one of them. I also have their screwdrivers as well. It's the 1/2 ratchet that I use like 3 times a year, maybe I got a dud. I also have their quattro ratchets so yes I do know facom. I also own some wera and festool as well. Mostly sanders though for refinishing.

@@williammorales8204 there is free kits for the ratches. Never needed so far but i'll get one for a 30yo S152 it still work perfectly but with the new kit it'll look fresher.
