    You can avoid dismantling the screen wash reservoir and just leave the fog lights on the bumper.. remove the bumper with them and then remove the fog lights once the bumper is out. Seems easier if you are not dismantling the car just need the bumper out.

    today I was going to remove the front right headlight to do some maintenance and noticed that the hard to reach 10mm bolt closest to the wheel will probably just snap off from the rust as the right side wheel arch cover was missing a big rubber seal and theres all muck and rust around that area now.. at some point ill have to only be able to use the middle bolt to secure the whole headlight as 2 out of 3 of those bolts are going to snap from rust..

    Excellent video. Thank you!
    I am going to have to at least partially remove the bumper on my 406 to repair paint lower edges of the wings behind the front lights. Also, I was wondering, is it possible to reach the speed sensor after removing the wheelarchs? I have not been able to locate it from below the car or from engine space. Read somewhere it would be located on drive shaft, but I am not sure where.

      From memory the speed sensor is on a piece surrounding the gearbox where the driveshaft comes out, have changed the odd one with the car on the lift by reaching in past the subframe, cant remember now if the wheel-arch liner really improved access much.

      peugeotCitroen2CV if I need to change just the right hand headlight, do I have to remove the inner guard liner? I noticed that you did that first.

      @@28102650 No that's not necessary. Just follow what he did when he unscrewed the bolts

    What if I just want to change the broken fog lights? Do I need to remove the tires??

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  4 года назад +1

      Some people can remove the inner arch liners with the wheels still on the car, me personally i prefer to remove the tyres for better access and visibility. It makes the job significantly easier and more pleasant to do.

    Hey, i would like to know if,in the 406, there is a sensor in the washer bottle to indicate low washer fluid?

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  6 лет назад

      I dont think there is, i have never seen them display a low washer fluid warining, i had a 607 which did but im not sure what extra sensor the 607 had

    @0:33 why is the other cable cut? I got the same and wondering who did it and why.

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  5 лет назад

      I have reviewed the video and cant see a cable being cut at 0:33 is it at a different time in the video perhaps?

    • @KillerkoUK

      It's a little bit better visible from @0:30 but I took a snapshot and highlighted it: imgur.com/a/XKtYpwv I wonder if this is supposed to be like that or the cable was cut for some reason.

      Ah that looks like the wire for the brake pad wear sensors which had been cut before i recieved this car. Its not a huge issue if the pad wear sensor doesnt work provided you periodically check the condition of your brakes. If that perhaps is less likely to happen then it would be better to have the cable repaired.

      Hi, in the afraid i can't really help. I have translated this comment using google translate and it really doesn't make any sense.
      I would suggest trying the Peugeot 406 owners club.

      Решил проблему? Может быть топливный фильтр. Просто замени на новый.
